This February you can protect Super Earth in an intergalactic war while feeding soup to aliens! Presenting your free PS Plus games for February on PS4.

Set in a satirical and dystopian future, Helldivers offers chaotic combat against three invading enemy species. This top-down shooter focuses heavily on teamwork, as squads battle to become Heroes of the Federation. So grab your friends and take on the invaders — just be sure to watch out for friendly fire!

In Nom Nom Galaxy, you’ll enjoy a variety of gameplay; platforming, mining, base construction, resource management, tower defense, and of course, making soup. As a new Astroworker for SoupCo, you’ll be producing different soups to keep the aliens fulfilled and fighting greedy competitors. Protect your factory and become the most powerful soup company in the galaxy.

    Helldrivers looks interesting. I’ll definitely try that. Looks like this Persona game is a fighter rather than an RPG? That’s really too bad, as fighters generally bore me rather quickly. Still, I guess I’ll give it a go. The rest don’t interest me much. Also, didn’t we already have Grid on PS3 a year or two ago? I’m pretty sure it’s in my downloads list. Resounding meh. But hey, good for those who like racers, I suppose. Decent month.

    I honestly wish they would release something of value just once. Considering ending my psp subscription because it’s yet again, another off brand useless game being released. The only game I found worthy of downloading from the free choices was Batman Arkham City, and I don’t even have a PS3. Xbox is definitely doing a lot better to appeal to their customers, hopefully PlayStation takes a page from their book

    I bought Persona 4 Arena Ultimax LESS THAN A MONTH AGO OMG!!!! I can’t complain actually, I own the blu-ray and came with the tarot card set (I completed the set from Persona Q) and the Teddie punch bag, for 11 USD.

    This was a good month actually, I normally expect 1-2 games to be of my like, and nothing more. Overall, this is a really good subscription!

    Just got my PS4 for Christmas and I’ve heard the free games have been fairly disappointing.
    I have really enjoyed playing Gauntlet Slayer Edition for free but its getting old now.

    I’m hoping Helldivers is as good as the trailer looks. This may be a silly question but when can we download these games? Feb 1st?

    Any other great couch co-op games out there? I was looking at Lara Croft Temple of Osiris

      You can download them on Tuesday Feb 2nd when the store updates. If you’re looking for another good co-op games I would recommend picking up Dead Nation.

      there are $10/month and $18/3 months. Although if you rely on them solely they are more expensive than $50/year in the long run, but the $18/3 months is great for people like me on a budget who can’t shell out $50/year. Not with all the good games coming out anyways.

    This month will bring more people into one of the best indie I played on PS4! Helldivers is by far the most enjoyable top shooter I played and Arrowhead deserve to be known by many.

    Guys complaning about this month’s games probably never gave it a try… or just cry every single months expecting to see 60$ for free.

      I heard the online was pretty dead as far as my friends were saying. I like it when MP games get the free treatment. PS+ is an option that sort of “extends” their lifetime.

    Again, nothing for me for PS3 as I don’t turn it on unless I have a friend over. Still cool selections nonetheless.

    It’s a good month, yes, filled with indie games. BUT with Q-games Nom Nom Galaxy that I passed over and Helldivers! I never actually both either so yes it’s a very good month for me.

    I just beat Valiant Hearts, great game! Looking forward to Q-games’ Tomorrow Children more though :)

    Wait for it. Batman Arkham Knight standalone or Dragon Age Inquisition (standalone, no DLC of course) will be free in March and everyone will complain about either

    a) The storage space that each game takes up (AK is at least 50gb without DLC, I’m not sure if it’s the patches or…?)

    b) not having any of the DLC included with is actually a marketing strategy to get people to buy the DLC instead.

    If Playstation somehow manages to give out a game, people will complain based on the situation. At least we’re not getting games that are years and years old like Xbox is (at least on PS4). We’re getting newer games.

      Ok, the day Sony puts out Batman Arkham Knight as one of the PLUS titles is the day I turn into a sea monster overnight and fly to the moon from my underwater cave.

      It’s hilarious that the PS4 is such a wonderful piece of tech and each PLUS title is more suited for the Sega Genesis. Sony really are a bunch of cheap idiots.

      @rudetoy you know weve got the first two batman games free on ps3 right? So batman becoming free wouldnt be a surprise, it wont be soon though, the ps4 hasnt had a long lifespan like ps3, once its been out and has tons of games like ps3, the ps plus line ups will improve, im just mad most games we get are games ive already bought

    Another mediocre selection of games. I don’t play online very often, so the only reason I really have PSPlus is for the free games and it has been a let down every month.

    I have Nom Nom and Helldivers but I’m glad there will be new people online in Nom Nom, I want the platinum. I get Nova, which I had been considering buying, so I’m good. I really wish these threads weren’t so negative. There are like 100 million PS4s, PS3s and Vitas out there. How could PlayStation possibly keep everybody happy? We get free games from a huge variety of developers and genres, just play something you might not have bought otherwise and have some fun!

    I remember just two months ago persona 4 Ultimax was $64… Hopefully they’re not paying attention.

    Everybody and their mom has Helldivers.

    Literally everything else looks like it should be in the $0.99 catalog. No real titles again Sony.
    I know you get some great deals from Pixeljunk(shout out much love!) consider some of the comments this time. Maybe a AAA title that isn’t worm out.

    Another idea is you could throw $5 PS money at us every time you have 2 games in your lineup we already own. Cuz thats happened pretty often lately.

      Yes, exactly. Since I didn’t renew my PLUS membership, I’ve found much better value by purchasing lightly-used PS4 games, either on EBAY or discount electronics stores/wholesalers. If you’re smart, you can find AAA games for not much dough and it sure beats plunking down $49.99 each year and crossing your fingers on a wing and a prayer for something that isn’t pure unadulterated garbage.

    Great lineup, but it could use a little work. Could we expect to see a AAA title next month. Like maybe saints row IV or GTA V for PS3? You guys had really good lineups in 2015 but seems like the lineup quality has fallen. Anyways I’m really hoping for a AAA title next month. Maybe even for next gen. I dunno. But I’ll have to wait another 30 days to find out.

    I think you need to do a survey for next month have about 8 games and let us decide which 2 we receive on ps4 1 indie and 1 A title. Or give us a remaster of the dot hack series and G.U. series thats fine also.

      Has nothing to do with being graphics-obsessed. ANY of the monthly PS4 plus titles are more suited to the PS3 or even the Vita. They don’t show off the capabilities of the PS4 in any way. Don’t get me wrong…I love the Vita. I expect the PS4 games to be games that are unique to PS4 and not just a PS3-type game.

      And quite honestly, many months, the PS4 plus games could be played on a PS2.

      Reading these comments I see that most gamers today are immature and think they are entitled to everything.

      People here ARE graphic obsessed. A lot of gamers are and that in itself is a problem. When people respond that it’s nothing to do with graphics, that these games belong on PS3 or vita, they really show their ignorance. The PS4 is still relatively young so not every game is gonna take FULL advantage of what the system can do. That takes time. Every new PS4 title isn’t going to be revolutionary. Look at the difference between PS3 launch titles and then titles at the end of its life. The differences are astounding.

      I don’t know why indie has become synonymous with bad for most gamers. Indie isn’t a genre, there are indie games in every genre (puzzles, RPGs, action, shooter, etc.). So when people spout that indies are terrible and need to stop being made really need to wake up.

      Undertale won awards and was GI game of the month when it came out and it looks like it’s straight out of the days of the NES/SNES.

      Then of course we have No Mans Sky. Incredibly excited for this INDIE title as are many others. Some people were surprised to find that it is an indie title. Not only does it look great but if they deliver on what we have seen and heard about it, it may be the largest game ever made.

      So yea people need to open their eyes. I know not every game on this months list is for everyone, I myself don’t care much for racing games, and that’s fine. But when people trash the list as well as Sony just because they see indie as bad is just childish and ignorant

    I don’t own a PS3 or Vita, just a PS4 (so sadly no replaying KH 1&2 as I once did on PS2), but the PS+ game options for the PS4 have been lacking. Personally, I’ve not been given any reason why I should pay for PS+ yet. The “deals” are often a mere couple bucks off and the freebie games never interest me. Muliplayer? meh. I own maybe 2 games that i’d even consider playing online with people, and if i want muliplayer for those, I can play with others in my own home for free. Methinks Sony needs to step up their game a bit.

    I’m really happy about Helldivers for this month’s IGC… I have it, practically, since it launched but most of my friends don’t. This is a game where communication is key. Playing it with random people is fun, playing with friends is way better.

    Well, last month, i said some hateful things about the ps plus (not playstation in general, since ps4 is much better than xbone) But i was disappointed in the last few months, ESPECIALLY January. Magicka was alright, a little better than gauntlet… however this month! The ‘Nom Nom Galaxy’ looks ok, but Helldivers! It was in November that i discovered Helldivers, and i hoped it would be free in December and January, and now it finally is. It may not be AAA title, but i looks very fun, and it may earn a AAA in my heart lol. My friends also said it was very fun, and i almost bought it, glad i didn’t. So, i want to thank PlayStation for releasing Helldivers for free this next month, i am really looking forward to playing it. Perhaps this is a start for some GREAT ps plus games?!

    I wonder how much longer Sony will keep including PS3 and PS Vita games in the freebies.
    Hopefully once they drop them they will add another PS4 game per/month.

    It never seems like 2 games is really worth it. Especially since they are always indie games now.
    Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind indie games, but when I first signed up to Plus there were many AAA games .

    as a person who came over from xb360 to ps4 last feb, i must say i haven’t been impressed with ps+. the constant party chat problems, ps store never loads again if you back out for any reason, psn downtime from server problems and maintenance, ps+ costing $10 more per year than xblive. (xblive 1yr sub on amazon for $39.99 and every year they go on sale) i’m glad my ps4 came with 1 year of ps+ for me to check it out and i won’t be getting rid of my ps4 but overall it’s just not worth $49.99/yr for ps+. the xb1 has dominated the past year on the perks of being a subscribed member of it’s services and to top it off they now have full backwards compatibility for almost 200 games. just goes to show that a more powerful system doesn’t necessarily mean better overall.

      just to clarify on the problems with psn, all ports are open and forwarded for the ps4. the ps4 is in the dmz zone w/o a firewall and a direct cat 7 cable connection to the modem. my speeds average 80mbps down 25mbps up with an open nat so you can’t tell me it’s on my end.

    Sigh…Yet another month of garbage. I can already see the “how about you stop complaining” comments. The fact remains that Sony got us used to getting awesome AAA games for the PS3 before the PS4 was released, so it’s only obvious that we’ll get mad with they give us a bunch of indie games. And no, not everybody likes indie games so please stop saying that we need to try them before we complain about it. We want decent (they don’t have to be awesome) AAA games!

    People dont seem to understand that they DONT have to give us anything free, they could be like xbox used to and make you pay 50 a year just for online, youre paying 50 to play online, the free games are just a bonus, most of these games are at least 15 dollar games, PS PLUS HAS NEVER gave us a brand new 60 dollar game EVER so i dont understand why you brats expect it, the good ps3 games we have recieved were out at least a year or more, not new, what are you going to do? Go to xbox? Youll get these same games but later after us, besides helldivers is a playstation only game, that cost more to make than your small 50 dollars

      WRONG. When I was a plus member, I paid for the “free” games. I couldn’t give two hoots about online play.

      Bottom line: when PS4 was just getting started and I only cared mainly about Vita and PS3, the offerings were excellent. Now that I mainly play on PS4, the offerings are DREADFUL. My PS3 broke and so I count on the PS4 now. And, of course, Sony lets me down every single month. That’s why I canceled my Plus membership.

    Helldivers looks great but can we get some PS3 games for PS plus on ps4. Like actual popular titles like devil may cry or God of war or anything along those lines. Not some little indie games all the time. We pay for it for a reason so spoil us a little

    Already own Helldivers and it is a fantastic game, hugely challenging and equally satisfying to succeed. Communication with others is a must, however true mastery comes when you can solo even the hardest missions! Glad to see this title for free to have a new influx of players to teach and play with.

    Persona 4 Ultimax I’ve been on the fence about buying at a price point that suits me as I’m yet to play Persona 4 (Ultimax story continues on from P4) and really happy to have it for free on PS+. Just a note that it is a fighting game with some deep mechanics and not a JRPG. It is however wonderfully animated, excellent music, I hear the plot is fantastic and as a huge fighting game fan, it’s easily one of the best fighting games to be released in recent years.

    All the other games are just icing on top, keen to check out Nom Nom Galaxy and nice to have a digital copy of GRID as I own the physical.

    Really excited about Febs line up for sure!

    Oh and by the way, I believe Helldivers is cross-buy and it is definitely cross-play. Pretty cool to be playing with PS4, PS3 and Vita owners.

    Looks like a decent month. I’m interested in playing Helldivers. Checked out the video and looks cool. I liked Hardware: Rivals in January. I get PsPlus for the online gaming on ps4, so the games are an added perk. If you don’t like what PS+ has to offer, that’s on you.

    Gee, Sony… it’s almost like you don’t want to hear that people are unhappy with the table scraps you’re tossing them…

    There was a time when you gave out games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Hitman HD Trilogy (!!), Yakuza 4, Saints Row 2 & 3, Quantum Conundrum, Sleeping Dogs, Batman: Arkham City, and Bioshock Infinite. What happened? May 2015 hit and suddenly it was almost all indie games and ports… If I wanted to play short, “artsy” indie trash, I’d bookmark Humble Bundle. It’s not what I bought a PS3, PS4, and Vita for.

    Sure, you tossed out some EA games at the end of 2015: MoH: Warfighter – a modern military shooter rated as 5/10 across the board… great job there, two Bioware games (already owned), and a snowboarding game – big ol’ MEH there.

    Don’t even get me started on the wastelands that are the PS4 and Vita’s offerings.

    I dropped my PS+ subscription back in June 2015 when it expired, and I’ve yet to see a reason to return. I want to love this service like I used to, but it’s like you just don’t want me to.

      I second that emotion. That’s why you no longer see a + next to my avatar. I canceled several months ago also.

      The only Sony service that’s intriguing at all is PS NOW, mainly because they DO offer good games that I actually want to play (The AC series, God of War, etc). Once they lower the price, I’ll bite.
