Attention, PlayStation Plus members! We have another set of great PS4 games for you to enjoy, just in time for the holidays. Whether you prefer a good ol’ fashioned romp through a dungeon, or maybe a light-hearted story of adventure, we’ve got you covered with two reimaginings of classic gaming goodness.

Up first is Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on PS4. Plunge into the dungeons on your own or with friends in this action-packed RPG. Face monstrous hordes of enemies, prowl crumbling catacombs for gold, and unearth incredible weapons. All in the name of fame and fortune!

Also on offering is the critically-acclaimed first chapter in the new King’s Quest series, titled A Knight to Remember. Journey through the memories of King Graham as he recounts his adventures to become a knight of Daventry.

    At this point I could care less about the piece of CRAP line ups Sony is giving us, I knew this would happen, since PS+ is required to play online the service has gone from bad to worst…. But what amazed me is how they took something really good and turn into something that is not worth it..

    You guys went from making a video talking about each game, to a 30 seconds video showing 2 games, why in the hell you even take the time to make that crap?

    After owning ps, ps2, ps3 and ps4 Im really thinking on switching to Xbox, they are giving love to their subscribers while sony is giving us a HUUGE finger…

    This is what they are getting On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of December. Thief ($29.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from December 16th to January 15th. And yet again playstaton have let us down again should not be surprised as its the same every month just a big let down oh well there’s always January but wont hold my breath

    I’ve had ps plus since it began and 2015 has been the worst year of ps plus ever. I am incredibly disappointed with how many games that I have bought on sale and have been released for free a month later.

    Not interested in December’s LineUp, nor I was in November, nor October, nor September and I guess pretty disappointed in most LineUp of PS+ games this year since the end of the year is coming and PS+ hasn’t much improved in “freebies” aspect.

    Okay, love the PS3 picks, and I am excited for Gauntlet and Freedom Wars, but I must confess I’m not crazy about one of the big 2 PS4 offerings being a single episode of an episodic game. I’ll fully admit it may in part being remembering back when we were lucky enough to get some offerings like Bioshock Infinite, Batman Arkham Asylum and Sleeping Dogs to name a few that I find it especially underwhelming, but as much as I do plan on checking out King’s Quest it does feel underwhelming.

    I think they should make a ps plus for just online only, that way I dont have to worry or see any complaints for Ps Plus games EVER. I can live without the free games personally does me no good to pay for something I do not like lol, but you can not please everyone that will remain true. I say do what you do sony as many complaints as you get there will be always someone praising you. So in the end you never really do lose.

    I feel like for the PS3 side of things develeopers say “Oh no, we’re out of money, may as well give it to the fanbase.” I know I didn’t buy King’s Quest, but I’m assuming nobody else picked up on the series as of late so they’re reintroducing it again.

    I understand the lineup is very complex sometimes but meh. It wouldn’t hurt to have some popular games up for grabs…. but then again anyone who’s anyone needs to own PS+ to actually get online benefits and discounts, well the discounts have scaled back in price since the subscription isn’t seen as “optional” anymore….

    So if the entire playerbase is PS+ t hen giving away a popular or new game will kill the games sales…. but some games have been out for awhile still…

    Gauntlet sounds good for co-op nonetheless and … well I was going to pick up Far Cry 4 on sale… so nice timing for a game I’ve always wanted to play… :P

    I wasn’t that impressed with this months offerings on PS4, so I had high hopes for the next month…. You guys can do so much better than this, especially for the new holiday purchasers! Gauntlet fell flat on its face with a 71 metascore and KQ is honestly the only thing worth touching. Here’s hoping for January, you guys gonna give me something amazing for my Bday…? :p

    Rocket Birds work on PSTV? If so that and Gauntlet are a Win for me in December. Thankful that Freedom Wars is on here too. Should help in getting more of my friends on board. I’ll happily take SSX.

      Rocketbirds is NOT PSTV compatible.
      I just assume nothing released on Plus will work with it so I don’t get mad when I find out for sure that it doesn’t work.

      The PSTV really could have been a good device if it weren’t purposely sabotaged here in the US. Or at least it seems that way.
      I gave up on it after buying Gradius Deluxe Collection (PSP) and found out that it wasn’t compatible. Why?!

    So now were getting King’s Quest Episode 1 demo as one of the selections. WTF?! Yes, it is a demo among all of Tall Tail Episode 1 games.

    Awesome selection this month. Think I’ll actually play most of these. Excited for King’s Quest, Gauntlet and Freedome Wars. The chicken game seems wicked too!

    “Gaming for the whole family” but not if your under 16.
    It’s becoming quite apparent that Sony aren’t interested in younger players.
    For 2 months running now the PS4 games have been PEGI16 or older.

    Good thing I ditched my Plus service and subscribed to Xbox Live instead. The free games are actually worthwhile rather than tiny short indie games made by like 5 amateurs.

    Words fail me how bad this month is. This is my first ever blog comment about IGC, I just have to say something, it’s so bad.
    My heart skipped a beat when I saw King Graham’s image in the video preview frame. Only to have my excitement dashed upon seeing that it is for episode 1 only?!?
    Why do you hate us so much Sony? This is just a slap in the face. You gave us a demo, and try to pass it off as a big deal. Was expecting big things for December.
    My Plus sub is up in Jan., perhaps I shouldn’t renew, if this is the new trend.
    Sony no longer values their customers.

      I thought the same thing. However I blame Telltale. They perpetuate this myth that games need to come in episodes. Their whole season equals one of the parts of Kings quest. The old versions of Kings quest were stand alone, unlike TellTale. I wanted all parts of the compilation, and won’t be downloading it, as we can’t get the epilogue if we do. But let us not believe that this is indeed a demo, or the first part to a TellTale game. It is AAA and it is stand alone. That said, continue to complain, but make sure it is not based on anything to do with TellTale and their money grab.

      Also PS+ in the past gave out part 1 and part 2 to a TellTale game, that was a crime.

    I think that PS+ is due for a revamp. Possibly removing PS3 games and replacing them with a revolving selection of PS Now games since now is available on PS4/3/VITA I think it would be a better value for everybody. And it would get alot more people to try the Now service.

    Very Disappointing PS4? What is wrong with sony? Why? Last year injustice? This year was really really bad for PS4, December really? Christmas?
    2 Year PS4 Anniversary? And we cant get a good aaa game? What is wrong? I am really disappointed, i cant understand it.

    please give us something good like
    killzone, knack, prototype, alien isolation, rayman legends, tomb raider, murdered soul suspect, thief….

      You don’t own these games already? So old. Also Thief was pretty terrible. Please don’t ask for Terrible games. In all honesty Gauntlet is a good pick and I’m glad we’re getting it. Rayman Legends I’m pretty sure I got on sale or got free as part of PS+ already. Murdered Soul Suspect *sigh* do you want AAA games or niche games, please make up your mind. Knack? Seriously. Played that one too, you can get that for dirt cheap now, wasn’t particularly memorable either.

      I dunno man I know you’re not happy with what we’re getting, but as you can see I wouldn’t be happy with your selection either. This year has gotten us some great games too, like Rocket League which has been nominated for several awards this year.

    After paying for the KQ Collection in July, to have the first Chapter offered as free for plus members is a slap in the face. Especially considering Chapter 1 was released late July, and there’s still no Chapter 2 available.

      I do not have chapter 1. Maybe thats part of the problem as to why you don’t have chapter 2. Not enough people bought it. This could be Sony’s way to help them continue their work and grow the fan base. Now I have no reason not to try Chapter 1.

      I wouldn’t view this as a slap in the face, but an opportunity.

    Bad PS4 line up… AGAIN! Come on Sony, pick up yhe pace, the games you are offering for the PS4 lately are utter garbarge, King’s Quest Chapter 1??? THATS A DEMO! At least offer the full game. Gauntlet is meh, already finished it on PC, not that great really. I was really looking forward to this month, and you let me down yet again.

    To all the People hating on the free games: yes they not the best, neither have we seen an AAA game for ages, but dont forget all these discounts in the Store in combiination with your ps+. you can get a lot of good games, many of them costing less than 35$/€.

    !!!! If you dont like it, dont buy it!!!
    no one is forcing you to do that

    Do you really want feedback? Or ar you hust saying it because the majority of the comments say the same thing that they have for the last 6-9 months. This is a service we pay for so we have the right to complain about the quality of items on offer. Offering free games after putting them on sale is a slap in the face to people what have brought ps plus and the game as well. Your comment rules say don’t be a jerk. How about you follow your own advise and listen to what your fans want. I mean PlayStation is for the players or am I hearing your adverts wrong.

    Stoked about Blood Dragon for PS3! That DLC is pure gold! Other than that.. Meh.. I want more AAA titles. Would be cool to see ACIV free for PS4 and also Knack.

    The line-up sucks for PS4 and has sucked for months. If I didn’t have to pay to play multiplayer, I would’ve cancelled my subscription a long time ago. Thanks for nothing, Sony!

    I’m rather disappointed. I’m not really upset that almost all the free plus games are independent games rather than AAA though we were scoring at least a AAA title every other month before the PS4 came out. What really upsets me is that one of our free games this month is just one chapter of a five chapter game. In my mind, the five chapters are the full game. This is as bad as the Plus edition of Drive Club. I’m not asking that we get all dlc, expansions, and content given to us but how about at least full games. Please.

    Personally I don’t feel great about these games, I don’t really know what gauntlet is so I can’t judge that but if they have only given us the first chapter of the second game on ps4 than that’s pretty low, I don’t know about anyone else but I feel like ps plus has gotten worse every year I remember a couple of years ago they gave us borderlands 2 and devil may cry on ps3 in the same damn month and now most months I don’t even download something from ps plus and I’m probably going to stop at the end of my subscription.

    But I’m not saying that other people won’t like the line up, this is simply my opinion

    Wow. I thought it was pitiful when Sony split up Shadows of the Collasus and Ico games as separate entries. BUT AT LEAST THEY ARE BOTH FULL GAMES. King’s Quest is literally being used as a demo and it counts as a full game entry. I echo the other comments saying this really is a new low. Just remove the damn “free” games already and get it over with. We all know it’s coming. MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU FILTHY ANIMALS!!

    Meh. Bought a PC. Selling my PS4. Free games were the only reason why I got PlayStation plus bit of there’s nothing good it’s not worth $5 a year.

    I like the variety in this month’s selection. I do think the KQ Ep 1 only thing does come across a bit cheap though. Making it available to PS + subscribers is a good thing, like telltale does with the first episodes of its games. Having it as a monthly ps+ selection, however, is bad form. Especially a month after giving Walking Dead Season 2 (the whole season) as a selection.

    I’m keeping my subscription going as all I need is one game a month and I’ve gotten my money’s worth. I didn’t pick the service up for the free games (being a pre IGC subscriber) but appreciate what I get free and I have gotten lots over the years including most of my Vita games.

    Frankly, I was worried about the rumour of getting Angry Birds Space this month. That would have really annoyed me as that is truly a ripoff title. I haven’t even downloaded those when they have been free on iOS…

    What is wrong with Sony? Can someone explain the PS4 Lineup?
    2 Year PS4 Anniversary and Christmas and Last Year there was Injustice with First light and now this?
    Can someone explain it please because i dont get it?
    They are making tons of money but doesnt give the loyal costumer somthing bigger like Knack or whatever.
    Even Murdered Soul Suspect should be given out by now. Tomb Raider, Rayman and so on..

    Here’s my thoughts:

    PS VITA line up: awesome
    PS3 line up: awesome
    PS4 line up: average.

    Guantlet is a great coop game, King’s Quest? this will be the third month in a row you’ve tried giving the community an adventure game. Can’t you tell from the trophy list that most people play them for about fifteen minutes and then never touch them again?

    Why not one of your first party or second party exclusives?

    Here’s what I would suggest:

    1) The Order wasn’t a favorite amongst reviewers, you give that baby away for free though and it’d make many gamers happy.

    2) Knack. Another one that was hit or miss amongst reviewers, and was a launch title. Giving this one away for free isn’t going to hurt sales at this point.

    3) Helldivers. Where are the top down shoot em ups that were great PS Plus perks months ago? Dead Nation, Resogun, Pixel Shooters, etc.

    I still think PS Plus is a great value, it just has lately felt like it’s been hitting the same notes month after month.
