PS Plus: Free Games for November 2015

Drama. Magic. Zombies. Magic zombies? Maybe not that last one, but we’ve got the other three in spades with our new free games coming to PlayStation Plus. So without further ado, here are your PS Plus games for November!

Leading the (zombie) pack is critically acclaimed The Walking Dead: Season Two on PS4, by the expert storytellers at Telltale Games. The second season follows Clementine in her struggle to survive a world torn apart by the undead menace. Guide her actions and influence the game’s outcome as nail-biting choices must be made to keep on living.

Also available this month is Magicka 2 on PS4. This spell-slinging action game empowers you and your friends with the elements to defeat your enemies (or sabotage those same friends). Hysterics may ensue, which might be a welcome break after all those zombies…

These PS4 games are free for PlayStation Plus members starting on the first Tuesday of November, and you can find the full list of PlayStation Plus games below. Enjoy!

these are not showing up in the playstation plus ‘free games’ on the playstation store website. you currently have to seek them out individually.

I can see from the comments that many people are angry and disappointed with the selection of games on PlayStation Plus. I would just like to say that not everyone who owns a playstation is a hardcore gamer. Me and my wife are in our 30s without much of gaming background and october was one of the best months with Unmechanical, Chariot, and Kungfu Rabbit. We basically like playstation for it’s diversity in games and there is something for everyone. Everyone knows about the AAA games and i own several of them, and i accept that a lot of times i also hope to see some games on the free games list. But i also support Sony for what they are trying to do and i would hate to see Sony limit itself to shooter, sports and horror genre which i guess most of the big money games are.

So, not only we VITA owners are getting a PSP game for this months ¨free¨ games, but said game is not PSTV compatible… Sony is really making me think twice about renewing my subscription when the one I have right now is over… I´m sorry, but this is awful, and I actually feel cheated for the first time since I´ve been a PS plus subscriber. I really hope next month is better, or Sony will lose a customer.

What’s going on over there Sony missing a vita game love the games that were picked but it seems like you guys are focused on one thing more then your whole lineup I miss seeing the long videos about the games for the month don’t get lazy on us we know your on top just start showing us why

Man. Is anyone playing the free games? I thought there’s been some good, fun games given away. I was surprised that Broken Age was free since it came out not too long ago. I bought it day one when it came out. It’s pretty much the highest-profile point and click adventure that’s come out in the past few years. What are people expecting to get? Brand new AAA releases? I think people have some crazy expectations, really. I don’t really agree with having to remain a PS+ member to retain your free games, but since I need it to play online anyway, it’s not a big deal for me.

  @ColonelWEKurtz What’s so crazy about expecting AAA games every now and then(not every month) when this was the case during the PS3 era? I think that some people are unhappy with the changes brought to PS+ since it has become mandatory for PS4 online play.

Another disappointing line up for me. I’ll probably play walking dead but other than that there’s nothing that really intrigues me. I’m sure PS4 users are grateful for the free games since the real reason we subscribe is to play online.. However, some better games are always appreciated Sony. You know, some actual good games and not indies.

Well this was a swift kick in the nono’s for me, i own both magika 2 and walking dead ep.2, and heres the kicker… why ep.2? So people gotta buy the first one to see what happend? I technically got nothing out of this month, i guess i can play beat magika 2 with my friends that never played it before. This is my first time posting here and I really hope the people at playstation put more heart into next months free games, thanks.

PS Minus is a garbage service. Paying to game online is a scumbag tactic that has been allowed due to so many clueless gamers in search of instant gratification. I spent well over 300.00 on games these past few months on steam and not ONE CENT on ANything PS. YOu lost a customer of over 22 years FOREVER and as long as the PoS PS4 takes up space in my home theater I will write my 2 cents EVERY MONTH.

I spend a lot of money of my gaming every year, its my beloved hobby and both me and my wife love to game, SOny will NEVER see another penny from me again where as Steam will continue to receive my business cause they actually provide a Fantastic service and I am not gonna pay to game online now or ever, the only reason i even considered it was because i actually thought PS+ and it’s perks were still gonna be worth it with the underpowered PS4 generation, boy was I wrong. Thankfully its a bitter pill i no longer have to swallow.

See ya next month SONY when you announce MORE GARBAGE

  we are complaining because we are FORCED to have PS+ otherwise the PS4 is basically useless especially considering most games require a online connection to play in full or at least in part.
  
  Remove the mandatory online paywall from PS+ and watch both the complaints disappear as well as the subscriptions.

  case an point I own Need for speed for PS4 and without PS+ the game can NOT be played at all. I bought it, yet cant play it all because I refuse to be taken advantage of by paying for their Sh**ty Service. SO therefor, I no longer use my PS4 and I am spending my money elsewhere( in my particular case- STEAM)
  
  A online paywall is both ridiculous and unethical, hence why that crap wont fly on PC, because PC gamers seem to be a bit more intelligent than console gamers.

  That’s the catch you see, that PS+ has become mandatory for PS4 online play. PS+ games are a ‘side thing’ now, they’re ‘free’ anyways, and it’s excellent marketing by Sony, which wants you to believe exactly that.
  
  Obviously there is some non-constructive feedback, as always, but I think expressing dissatisfaction with a service is important in order for it to improve. If people think it’s free, they won’t complain, and accept anything thrown at them, while in fact it’s not free. Wake up! :)

  On a side note, I think PS+ will disappear for the PS3 within the next year or so. This is because of the way the IGC has been announced recently (only PS4 pics displayed on the IGC related posts and in the videos). My guess is Vita’s lineup will consist of PSP games and/or cross-buy games.

I think that Europe and U.S. Playstation Plus offerings should go back to having their own selections. I personally like Invizimals, although it’s the PSP version which is available for 7.99, and I owned the retail copy on PSP with the camera back in the day. However, this game is not that popular in the U.S. region. It is a popular EU game series for PSP/VITA, as far as I know.

Additionally, why not one of the VITA versions. Quite bizzare to offer the PSP title, as it’s been quite sometime since we’ve received an older classic PSP title. If it was Crisis Core: Finaly Fantasy 7, God of War: Chains of Olympus, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Patapon 3, Kingdom Hearts: BBS, Resistance: Retribution, Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, or something like that, I would totally understand. They are larger profile, fun titles, worth a little more in quality, with equal value in price. I just don’t know if people would give Invizimals for PSP the same level of Par.

Really your going to complain about getting free games? even if they are not great its free. they are not going to give you amazing stuff for free. and sometimes they do give you great games! (Rocket league, IMHO) and for me coming from xbox 360 where i paid for a gaming service and got nothing extra the small free games are absolutely awesome. I’m not excited about this set of free games but maybe next month will be better for me.

The PS+ games over the past few months have been abysmal. Here are my suggestions:

Hotline Miami 2
Uncharted Collection for PS4
God of War III for PS4
God of War Collection for Vita

Sony is releasing all of these remastered games, eliminated backwards compatibility, and charges to stream games we already own via PS Now. It boils down to penalizing long-time fans by charging us to play games we already own. Why not throw us a bone and release the remastered games for free on PS+?

I wish I was rewarded for having a PS4 and vita for once, instead of punished for not having a PS3 again like every other month…

It seems like PS3 usually gets the good stuff, leaving us PS4 and especially VITA with subpar products.

Well first thing first if I’m paying for a adverse every month that’s going to send me razors and I get razor Sharpe paper blades to shave with should I keep that severse ….. That’s what’s going on here you pay Sony every month to play online and for some games that you’ve heard of every now and again I got my ps4 back in the summer and I just got a vita ps4 I’m happy with my vita is nothing but an expensive controller for my ps4 and now all I see is crap for free games every month. Why are y’all killing support for your newest systems and showing more to your ps4 players

I am very happy with the lineup for PS3! I’m looking forward to playing Beyond Good and Evil, and Dragon Fin Soup- two games that both have strong female lead characters. In addition, I like Mass Effect 2 and it’s supporting female characters. Mass Effect 2 has the option of having the player choose whether the main character, Shepard, is male or female. This is one of my favorite months for PS plus IGC.

So. I’m not sure if anyone actually pointed this out yet.

Invizimals can’t just be played with the Vita and Camera alone, it -requires- a third physical object; a “trap” that needs to be placed in the real world to capture the creatures in the game.

Everyone who downloads the game has to find some way to provide this item for themselves in order to play the game at all.

…okay, here are my gripes…

Telltale Games – The Walking dead season 2 (Rating – D)
Its jittery, laggy, and Spelunky on ps3 looks better then it. Most options are very minimal and do not actually add anything to the story, and it doesn’t feel like a complete product. Not a fan.

Magicka 2 (rating B+)
Its a good game, looks pleasing, plays well and pretty good loading times. My only gripes is how they set up the controls, and how some of the spells are inconsistent. I once casted a 2-fire ball spell and could slash it around for like, 8 slashes. Then i casted the same thing and it only allowed me to swing once.

Mass Effect 2 – (Rating – A+)
Played it on 360. Good quality game!

(Everything else – Haven’t played)

I wish we could get more high quality games like Black Ops 3 (People may not like it, but AAA quality games)
Maybe one every two months for each console? i would love a month like this…

PS4 – Evolve, Shovel Knight
PS3 – Vanquished, Fall Out 3 (GOTY)
PSV – Hatsune Miky – Project DIVA f 2nd, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

I want a line up like this!

I am willing to take one killer game a month verses what i get now. I subscribe because I’m not as wealthy as i used to be.
So I saw an add saying free games and it look promising. But next year I’m most likey get a xbox subscription.

Every 2-3 month something bigger like as creed black flag, unity, rayman, wolfenstein, evil within, alien isolation, murdered, killzone, knack,bf4,tomb raider, the last of us, diablo 3, god of war3, saints row, sleeping dogs, watchdogs, sherlock holmes, thief, devil may cry

  Muzza you’re the only idiot that thinks these games are free. They’re part of the subscription, if they were free everyone with a system would get them not only the people who PAY for PS Plus. And Microsoft does it also for Xbox so it’s not like it’s revolutionary, but at least Microsoft gives away games like Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, primo stuff!

I think that they should not offer a game like mass effect 2 which I am sure most people have played that by now. instead offer some semi aaa games that slipped under peoples radar like the lords of the fallen, the order and Godzilla.

It certainly would be nice to have more PSvita games, but you’re not paying just for the monthly games, but also for all the other perks, which even by themselves are already worth the price. I’m not too excited about the lineup this month, but I just wanted to say that I am one of the people who has enjoyed the indie games you have featured lately. With the PS+ free games, I get to play games that sound interesting to me but I might not buy otherwise, because I don’t want to take a chance on them or I already have games I am playing. Thank you.

Just a bunch of crying and moaning that you’re not getting the games you deserve…

It’s not a rental service guys, the games are and always have been an incentive, not the main attraction. Some of you have lost or never had perspective on this and are here for the wrong reasons

If you want games on a rental service subscription that option is available to you with ps now.

12 month maybe 6 big titles a year and to fill the line up bring us quality indie games , party hard , escapnist Hotline miami 2, shovel knight , bro force , really 6 bigger titles every two month would not be that hard to make bring on knack killzone the order evil within… january big games small indie feburary big indie with small indie march big game like infamous with small indie. april big indie like outlast dlc or helldivers with small indie. may big title like little big planet 3 with small indie and so on…thats how you would make every customer happy with a good mixed line up

All is about to make money….pay for online play really? A copy of what microsoft did…Shoot! Sometimes we spent a lot of money in mediocre games and now this? In my opinion Black Ops 3 sucks. Modern Wafare is more fast action packed with still amazing graphics and animation.
