PS Plus: Free Games for November 2015

Drama. Magic. Zombies. Magic zombies? Maybe not that last one, but we’ve got the other three in spades with our new free games coming to PlayStation Plus. So without further ado, here are your PS Plus games for November!

Become a PlayStation Plus member

Leading the (zombie) pack is critically acclaimed The Walking Dead: Season Two on PS4, by the expert storytellers at Telltale Games. The second season follows Clementine in her struggle to survive a world torn apart by the undead menace. Guide her actions and influence the game’s outcome as nail-biting choices must be made to keep on living.

Also available this month is Magicka 2 on PS4. This spell-slinging action game empowers you and your friends with the elements to defeat your enemies (or sabotage those same friends). Hysterics may ensue, which might be a welcome break after all those zombies…

These PS4 games are free for PlayStation Plus members starting on the first Tuesday of November, and you can find the full list of PlayStation Plus games below. Enjoy!

Tbh I think everyone should just be greatful, regardless of what game, what console it’s based on.. I mean if they are all playable why is everyone complaining.. It’s free games.. An as long as u keep ur sub then, you get to keep them forever.. Thanks PlayStation for being better then Xbox subscriptions

  and you only keep the instant game collection that you pay a membership fee for 1 year now, go ahead and try to play x com or borderlands 2, you cant unless you bought them, personally i wanted to try out beound good and evil when it came out in 2007 or 2006 when it came out now i can, i already bought the mass effect collection like 1 or 2 years ago for 5 dollars, the least they could have done was give 3 cause that has multiplayer unlike 2, i’m done with this service in april 2016 gonna either get a game fly subscription or just go back to pc gaming, only game ive seen worth getting in the past year is fallout 4 ,not buying the console version when i can get pc and mod it all i like

Magicka 1 was fantastic and one of the top rated games of its time. Surprised almost nobody here knows it and treats the second one on this list like a ghost. Give it a try – it’s fabulous. I hope thos one has the survival mode you could play online like the first one.

Happy with the free games for November, can’t wait to try Magicka.
I had the original beyond good and evil on xbox but never finished it so I’m looking forward to playing the hd version.
Shark fin soup could be all right, worth a try.

Something that has also been pointed out is the companies have to decide if they want to their game to be free. Sony does not make the decision, they only get to make requests mostly. Though I acrually did tell my wife that Walking Dead would be free on PSN for November since season 1 was free on Xbox One this month. I was right, but wrong season.

Anyway rhat is part of what makes Dragon Fin being free so crazy and they wanted to increase the availability of it.

I guess I don’t understand people who say we are paying for multiplayer. Thats not how or why this service started, it was always about the games. That was the incentive. While there will always be games that people wont like, seriously, as someone who doesn’t play multiplayer games often enough to make paying for that service alone worth it, I don’t have too much of a problem with Indie titles but what happened to the voting? Was that supposed to be a one time thing? Look, being poor, I appreciate free games, I do, but can we go back to the original ps plus, when it was about the games, the service?

At least when GwG gives you a game it’s actually yours to keep. Sony just lets you play as long as your sub is paid. None of the hundreds of games I have courtesy of Plus are actually mine. The second I let my sub lapse, they become unplayable. It always amuses me when you guys talks about “free games” — this is a rental service over which you have no control. And yeah, I didn’t mind that when we actually got good games. ME2 and BGaE are great games, but they’re a decade old or thereabouts. I’ve played them both. I bought the Mass Effect Trilogy on here for $10, even. If they can sell the trilogy for $10 bucks, the least they can do is offer it for Plus members — not a random middle entry. I would have applauded that.

Look at it this way. You were paying a monthly fee for cable, and HD was free. They even gave out free movies every month. It was great. They came out with a new cable box and decided to charge a fee for HD content. OK, I understand. Even though we now have to pay for what we used to get for free, at least we still get really cool new movies for free. Then the movies that used to be ones you really wanted to see turned into low-budget art-school projects or popular movies that came out 8 years ago — ones most everyone has already seen. But you had to pay the same amount for content that is clearly inferior. But hey, you get these IFC rejects that are weird and most people dismiss as junk.

So I see people ranting out for the last couple of months about how Sony is not cool for the games that they give us. I beg to differ. I took the time to go through and search out the prices to make a valid point. I buy the yearly sub for PlayStation plus and with math it comes out to $4.17 a month (rounded of course). (Now i understand people do pay the monthly or three months membership so your average price can vary)

So lets sum this up:Beyond Good and Evil HD $9.99, The Walking Dead Season 2/PS4 $14.99, Mass Effect 2 19.99, Magicka 2 14.99, Dragon Fin Soup 17.99, Invizimals( ? PS plus didnt state which one) Total = $77.95

  Now that is $78 plus in games. This is not including the PS4 online game play to take in account(Destiny, Diablo III, Elder Scrolls Online, other online games that require plus). I own all three systems so I can get the full amount of my plus membership. I have on some accounts been a little mad because I bought some games on sale and then one or two of the games I bought were on the free games list of the month. I figure its also a rule of patience as well.
  
  The other thing that you have to take in account its not just about Sony. Its the Developers/Publishers decisions to have the games free as well.
  
  So from all the details that I have listed I can see I am getting a pretty good deal from Sony. Thank You

  Pretty sure at least a few of these have been on sale for significantly cheaper than the listed price you posted. I paid less than $6 for the entire ME trilogy in the last six months, and less than $4 for BG&E three or four years ago on one of the holiday sales or something. It has since been cheaper in flash sales or weekly sales. Nothing personal, but if you are paying full price for these games, something is wrong. It does not make a valid point either. My two cents…

  First of all as Moofboy games should been on sale. Second you cant put full value on them since we not buying but just renting. Third, not many people play online. I do play multiplayer but dont need ps+ to play bf4 or cod. But I am slightly agree with you this month. This could be best line up so far and people still complaining

  You know…You could have bought many games digitally or via retail, and you’ll get your cheaper price, but history has shown that getting a title digitally has more possible use on future platforms. How many UMDs on PSP run on VITA…Oh, that’s right “0”. However, digital, while it could have been more expensive, if you have no patience for a sale, run on VITA. I know, not everything runs due to license issues with Publishers, but it’s better than 0. Same goes for PS1 discs, you can’t shove them into a PSP/VITA.
  
  The PS4 may not have support for PS1/PS2 games, but I’d be really surprised if it supports discs. More likely, it’s going to only support those licenses through PSN, at least for PS2. This is a quite clear precident. Maybe the PS4 won’t support Mass Effect(PS3) for PS Plus, but the PS5 may. It definitely won’t support your so-called .99 cent Used copy from Amazon.

I’m just going to throw this out there… More AAA sales please!! The good ones I mean, not simply a few bucks shaved off. I would like to purchase Borderlands 2 for my vita, but I already own it on my PS3 and have the Handsome Collection for my PS4, which means I need a super deep discount in order to justify buying it a third time! I also want Tearaway Unfolded for my PS4, but again, I own Tearaway already on my PS Vita. I’m totally fine if you want to keep throwing the indie games on PS Plus, but I’d also really like to see this service help make games more appealing to purchase. Other than The Walking Dead, nothing for November excited me. But it does seem odd to get a zombie game in November. Why wasn’t this for October?

But the disheartening part is that the Vita just keeps feeling neglected here. It’s already bad enough that Sony abandoned AAA games for it. Please do more for the Vita! I feel this is a very loyal Sony fan base who owns these. Please don’t alienate us by tossing us the leftovers. I want my Vita to have its glory days back!! That being said, I wouldn’t mind something great such as the patapon series. There are my two cents, take them for what they’re worth. I’ll still enjoy my multiple Sony platforms either way

That horrible feeling when your 26 and playstation player your hole gaming life ( ps1 original, ps2 original, ps3 original ps4 original) and start thinking x box is the better choice. Ps I’ve spent thousands on playstation (and it’s games)over its life span and am starting to get real tired of your s*** . Please just start treating us wright, a big game every 4 months or so isn’t a big ask when your neatest competitor is blowing you out of the water ( as far as free games go) COME ON SONY DONT MAKE ME BUY A X BOX

Something is seriously wrong with the trolls always complaining. Lol. Less than $5 per month, you get a crazy amount of games plus discounts. I could never download a Plus game and I’d still save $ just from the discounts on purchases. Sony needs to include a baby pacifier I guess for some gamers.

The only issue I have is, why season 2 of the Walking Dead? You have done this before with Arkham City & then months down the line you add Arkham Asylum. So will we get season 1 of the Walking Dead in the future?

I think the line up is good but I wish you would put a little more thought into the order you (may) add games in the future.

So hey. I’ve had a PS4/PSPLUS sub since near launch. My HD is brimming with sub games; a few gems here and there. But I must say, in my opinion, you guys have outdone yourselves. this month. I love the thematic contrast here. Great selection!

To me, this is a good month that offers good variety and choice. Of course not everything will be a hit for everyone but as long as there is one worthwhile game then it’s good value for the price. You may have been unlucky and played these already but you cant say there is a lack of quality being offered.

Been pretty disappointed in the PS+ games lately, was holding out on renewing my subscription till I saw the lineup for November. Can once again say I’m not impressed with the line up. Hoping for something bigger. Walking dead 2 was an amazing game, though not to long ago was on sale for 4.25 to PS+ members, I’m sure a lot of us already purchased and played it. Magicka looks interesting but would definitely have been more suited to be the secondary game to something that have come out on disc, PlayStation 4 has been out for a while and we really only got injustice as a main stream game, there are plenty to choose from now. Just doesn’t seem worth it the past couple months. Guess I’ll wait to see what December has to offer before renewing. Still love the PlayStation but definitely disappointed in PS+ lately.

Personally, I was expecting something AAA to commemorate the PS4’s birthday. Unfortunately, once again, the PS+ games are disappointing. I suppose I’ll pick up TWD Season 2, seeing as how I enjoyed Season 1 and really was never planning to buy the second but was curious about it. Not a total letdown, I guess. Looking forward to a AAA title, Sony!!!

Pretty content with November’s line up. Was always curious about what happened to Clem in The Walking Dead: Season 2. Dragon Fin Soup looks especially fun. For whatever reason the launch trailer for Magicka 2 made the game seem like something I wouldn’t be into, but the actually gameplay changed that.

I can’t really do anything with PS3 and Vita games, but they good offerings to me.

i will say i like the free tactical/rpg that all 3 systems are getting this tuesday that isnt listed here, who knows maybe a couple thousand people didnt renew their subs and sony panicked and added that game when their stock dropped a little, and why is everyone bugging about the walking dead s1 and s2 arent they in the free to play section on psn thats where i downloaded the 2 of them, i mean you guys do check out the free to play section out every couple of months right?

I’ve been a PS1, PS2, PS3 and now a PS4 owner…. I used to be highly satisfied with Sony’s service. Now Xbox One is offering free backwards compatibility and better free games – meanwhile, Sony charges to ‘rent’ older previous-gen games and has had an underwhelming PS Plus line-up for months in a row. Sony is resting on their laurels – I think I’ll start taking my money elsewhere.

They don’t HAVE to give us any games for free. You all would be paying for Plus/Gold whether they gave us these games or not. The complaining and entitlement is becoming a real issue in a community that I thoroughly enjoy. I enjoy that they are handing out the third party/indie games. Those companies are the ones who greatly benefit from the added attention. Their sales are a fraction of these AAA games that are being whined about. Thank you Playstation!

Decent games for Nov 2015. I’ll try a few out for sure though I pass on anything related to TWD. Just not my thing.
I would love to see some Skyrim action for PS3 PS+ in the future & games like Knack, InFamous SS, Assasin’s Creed 4 Black Flag for PS4.
