Healio everyone! We just announced Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below in February of this year, and it’s already launch day — time has sure flown by!
It’s officially out today, so make sure you pick up your copy here! To celebrate today’s release, we created this all new launch trailer:
If you somehow missed all of the goo-reat stuff we talked about this past year, or in case this is your first time hearing about Dragon Quest Heroes, here’s just a quick run down to catch you up to speed:
- What is Dragon Quest Heroes? Check it out here!
- Is this game just a hack and slash? Psshhh… yeah right
- What have we done to make this version special for US fans?
- Collector’s Edition?!? Did you know it’s the first one ever for Dragon Quest? And I’m unboxing it!
For you folks that just don’t have the shelf or storage space for a physical Collector’s Edition – for just $5 more than the Standard Version, you can upgrade to the Digital Slime Edition to get the 11 pieces of DLC in the physical Collector’s Edition!
Hopefully you’ve met my adorable little buddy Healix… cute, huh? This is from when he was the star on Twitch! If you’d like to follow his goo-rand worldwide adventures you can follow him here on Facebook or Twitter!

Anything you want to know about Dragon Quest Heroes from us? If not, we’d love to hear what you’re looking forward to! :D
I wanted the collectors edition initially but didn’t wan to wait for delivery when pre order on PSN got it at midnight so I just pre ordered. Now there is a digital slime edition and only five dollars more that I’d have paid. There is not a option to upgrade to collectors now. Can this be done?
I’ve heard that you get a static Dragon Quest Heroes PS4 theme if you purchase the Digital Slime Edition on PSN. But I didn’t get any theme. Is the theme only for preorders? I thought the offer was available for a month after the release. Can someone explain this please?
Umm… I filled out two support tickets with Square Enix and I haven’t received any response yet, nor has my game been upgraded to the Digital Slime Edition yet. All I’ve received is the standard –
“We’ve received your ticket and will get back to you when possible – don’t reply to this email because it’s automated”
However, after not even receiving a proper reply I have received a Customer Survey… Why!?
I haven’t received any customer service yet, but I’m receiving a survey that asks how well the customer support provided was?
I’m one of the folks that lives in Canada, had purchased the game for $74.99, only to wake up the next day and see that the Digital Slime Edition was being sold (with all the extras) for $64.99 – which is $10.00 dollars less!
After filling out two tickets, I’d simply like to know if my game is going to be upgraded to the Digital Slime Edition at no extra charge, no bells and whistles, etc. etc.
I cannot fill out a customer survey though until my issue has actually been dealt with through customer support though, that would defeat the purpose of filling out a support form and creating support tickets.
And… Thank You!
I did receive a code to upgrade my Dragon Quest Heroes to the Digital Slime Edition.
I went back into my email and found it in my Spam folder.
So if anyone else had filled out a ticket for the same reason – then be sure to check your Spam folder!
Thanks again Kaori! I greatly appreciate the help – and will definitely fill out the survey, because this is the type of customer service I (and many others) appreciate!
Take care and have a great weekend – I know I will now!
You’re welcome SuperGiovanni! Hope you have a fun playing experience :)
