One brutally difficult platformer, one heart-warming, coming-of-age story. This month’s PS Plus lineup has a great mix of flavors and you’ve come to the right place for the details! Starting on the first Tuesday of the month, a new lineup of free games comes to PlayStation Plus members, including Super Meat Boy and Broken Age on PS4.

Super Meat Boy will challenge even the most devoted platforming players with teeth-grinding levels, insane obstacles, horrible traps, and smiling chunks of meat. Yum! Can you stand against the gory onslaught of near-impossible tasks in Super Meat Boy? You’ll find out soon enough…

PS Plus: October 2015

If that’s a little too intense, why not point and click at things, instead? Broken Age is joining the PS Plus lineup, too! In it, guide two teenagers through strangely similar circumstances but on two different worlds. With a gorgeous soundtrack and award-winning cast, Broken Age is perfect for gamers that grew up with the adventure genre. Or people that just want to hear some jokes. Jokes are always good.

Last thing! Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will no longer be available as a free download for Plus members starting on October 6th, 2015. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, be sure to go to PlayStation Store now before October 6th!

    for all the kiddies who comment and cry about ps pluss, have you ever thought of how ps+ was back when it first came out? seriously i dont understand why you people are crying about getting games for free, when youre basically paying less than what xbox is a year to play online. if its so bad then dont buy ps+ anymore, go be a xbox fanboy and stop complaining. it would be better if you guys could actually post something productive instead,

      Your comments show how new you are PS plus was membership for games.. the online aspect of it is why I chose Sony over Xbox originaly because I did not want to pay to be online which I’m already paying to be online

    This is the second month in a row where I will not download anything from plus. I don’t even know why I complain because Sony has made it abundantly clear they do not care for PS3 customers any longer. I knew when Online Play for PS4 required plus that the service was doomed. I was one of the biggest supporters of PS Plus and told everyone I knew about it. Now Plus has become the creepy uncle no one talks about at Thanksgiving.

    95% of all of the comments on this post are from gamers sick and tired of the obsession you have with dumping indie titles off on us. This is not “value”, Sony. If we can get the same game as part of a Humble Bundle, or on our mobile phones, there is NO REASON that anyone would want to pay you for the same content.

    NO ONE bought a PS Vita or a PS4 to play indie games. YOU might be obsessed with the genre, but we’re completely fed up at this point. STOP TRYING TO FORCE THE SCENE. We know you’re only doing this because you can take advantage of no-name indie developers. You’re screwing everyone over. Everyone. And you wonder why the Vita flopped.

    I’m not impressed so far Sony. I switched to PS4 this generation and was hoping to keep it as my only console. Sadly, I will be picking up an Xbone next paycheck and switching that to my main console. I will still keep my PS4 and dust it off for exclusives, but I will be cancelling my PS+. Watch you twitter feed next Thursday (payday) for a picture of me putting my $$ where my mouth is.

      Nice, Microsoft would love to have you back as a Live subscriber. I finally got rid of my PS4 after waiting for this greatness that frankly I feel will never come. The ass kissing to Indie games, their laziness again personfied by being back on top, Sony has gone down the drain for me. A former fan of almost 20 years.

    gee i didnt think OUYA had changed their console name to ps+ welp come april im turning my ps+ subscription into a gamefly subscription selling my ps3 the games and my acount upgrading my pc and buying a dedicated gaming controller (seeing as sony decided it didnt want its controllers to be plug and play without some draconian work around that dosnt even work with windows 10 even iphone is compatible with windows guys) think ill even start playing one of my all time favorite mmorpg’s everquest 2 (wonder if sony’s heard of this great game cant recall who puts it out, well whoever it is sure screwed sony by not letting them put it on a cross platform like vita/ps3/ps4) wonder what sony’s going to do for its 20th anniversary guh facepalm its already come and gone and uh well i cant recall if they did anything but if they did i’m sure it made you think boy sony sure does realize its been part of my life since i was 15 in 1995 (oooh a sale for ps1 games that i still own and could emulate for free if i didnt)

    oh and if complaining about poor service irritates you why dont you go start the sony happy endings club where you can all sit in a circle giving each other “happy endings’ while marveling at sony’s latest release “ball in a cup” with genuine pre 3do 8 bit graphics, course i could just rehook my sega dreamcast and play shenume and break the 4th wall by playing games from the 80’s on a console from the 90s in the 21st century and not write some rambling soliloquy for my own amusement but then i wouldnt be true to myself

    I normally don’t complain on here or about PS+ in general. I mean honestly, I’ve liked most games released month to month because I would’ve never purchased them myself. So getting them for “free” to check out has been cool and really opened up my library.
    It’s not always a miss like some people claim.
    But really I will agree that you guys (PS) kind of shat the bed this month. You’re pissing off the majority of your subscribers.
    Not only that, what happened to the voting thing? That was cool…for one month. And if your going to be constantly be giving us “throwback” games, make sure they’re not f*#!ing terrible. Super Time Force? And whatever that other turd was that looked like my 7yr old cousin did on Windows95. Xeodrifter or whatever.
    It’s October, you couldn’t find scary/horror games? And quit giving us games from Curve, their games suck hard.
    I’m done complaining, better bring your A game next month Sony.

    I have been fairly pleased with the games I have gotten for free with PS+ since I got my PS4 about a year ago and loved a lot of them but Super Meat boy??? Seriously??? We paid A LOT of money for this membership(and basically simply just to play online which we DIDN’T have to do on PS3 which was a big reason why I was so devoted to Sony over Microsoft) but now Sony does the same thing. I understand we don’t HAVE to have free games nor are we entitled to them but I honestly think you can do better than all of these Web Browser Indie games. Last month when you gave us Twisted Metal? Fantastic

    This lineup looks horrible. I remember when playstation plus gave you access to multiple AAA titles each month, that was awesome, all these indie games do nothing for me. As someone who doesn’t really play multiplayer, I might let my sub expire if I don’t see improvement. I want games I’ll actually play, indies just don’t do it for me so there is little value in the service if this is the direction its going.

I mean, I’m not saying give away AAA titles constantly, but I’d rather be told to “**** off” when you have nothing to give us but indie titles.     Wow, Generation ‘me’ whinging about Plus not being worth the money because it’s blackmail.

    Newsflash! The free games are a bonus, along with our cloud storage and discounts. If you’re using multiplayer a lot then you already got your money’s worth PLUS some. The servers are better than last gen. Xbox had that going for them back then because Live was always mandatory. If you don’t like indies, shame for you, but stop being so entitled.

    If you want free AAA titles and multiplayer, go join PC master race and pirate your own.

      No, you are incorrect. A major selling point for the Plus program is the “Free Games”. They lead you to believe you will receive high quality free games every month, which encourages people to purchase. It’s a misleading sales tactic because they give crap games away most of the time now.

      PC always wins, and I’m glad to be a part of it. I got a ps4 for Bloodborne and KH3, but I regret it because if I have to pay a fee to play multiplayer, and they’re going to give away free games, at least make them good. Xbox 1 gets at least 1 AAA a month, and you’re an idiot if you think Sony couldn’t manage that.

      FoxPugg you are very ill informed, PS+ monthly free games/instant collection has always been the selling point. I can care less about other features cause I do have a PC & I don’t pirate !y games on PC, you shouldn’t even bother on owning a PC if that is what you are going to do. There is no excuse for not trying out steam which always has better sales and wider variety of games than both PSN & XBL combines.
      This is what’s more frustrating, the ill informed people who would take a slap or feces smeared on their face only to say, “thank you sir may I have another”. Wake up and stop being part of the problem cause by supporting it, you encourage them to continue this bad practice.

    Driveclub PlayStation edition was a joke._.You had 2 purchase the game to honestly enjoy any of it. I totally agree with everyone who notices the garbage sidescreen indies Sony has been throwing their Plus members. And if its a good game its a console edition, not an actual retail game, or its a partial one that requires you to buy in-game money to even play. We also should be getting different games for each system, not 2 or 3 games to share amongst them all. You should be able to cross-play when you have a title regardless. Honestly, not too many people would purchase any of those indies games Sony gives us, so no, Plus isnt worth the money. Online play used to be free-_- And it should be now that almost every game is online only and each one of those $60 games is going to eventually be $120 or more when the rest of it is released in DLC‘s.

      Free games? Come on don’t be naïve. It’s their biggest marketing tool to sell the Plus package because if you remember with the PS3 online multiplayer was FREE! So now we pay for what was a free service and get these “Great Free Games” now. you have to see that. If PS3 wasn’t free for online for all those years and them now charging for online play with the PS4, then I would completely agree with you.

    I have to say I’m excited to play Super Meat Boy on PS4, never really played it but I hear good things. Broken Age from what I’ve read seems interesting and I think I’ll like it. That being said, I think that it’s pretty lame that our PS Plus games lineup has continued to suck since I’ve gotten PS Plus for PS4. I think so far one of the best games I’ve gotten for PS Plus is Binding of Issac Rebirth, Stealth Inc 2 and maybe Injustice which I really didn’t like. To be fair, most of these games that are coming out for PS4 have already been given to us by Xbox 360 or most of us have already played because they’re old. I don’t know if the mods read this, but I’ve been reading the feedback on this blog for months and this will be my first post. You guys should really fix your lineup, more people are upset at the playlist then are satisfied. I’m thankful for the games you’ve been given me because I focus too much on multiplayer games and skip on the singleplayer so these titles I have yet to play, but still they are indeed old titles…Lets see some more AAA titles please.

    I like some indies, but you know, there are some really good old classic games for PS3 such as Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause, Far Cry… you know, good old games that I would like to get. Even some that already were free on PSN Plus but before I was a subscriber.

    I’m not renewing my PS Plus. Every month keep getting worse. You guys apparently pay people to comment and act like they are super excited about this indie crap so the comment section wouldn’t be 100% negative. I’m not in the demographic for Knack but would feel better about receiving it than these indie games or demos. I didn’t buy a PS4 to play indie games(especially OLD indie games) or remastered titles that came out on PS3. where are all the new AAA titles? I’m really disappointed in the lack of REAL games. don’t water down your brand focusing on indies

    I am so sick of indie games. Every month my free games are played for an hour or less, just long enough to confirm that it’s another crappy indie game, and I delete them, never to play them again. The free games are a joke. Once my plus subscription is done I won’t be renewing it, it’s not worth the cost.

    Are these people commenting a bunch of little kids? Why are you happy about these games? They suck…bad. Sony needs to come out with a less expensive plus version to just play games online. PS3 online is free, you pay for plus for the crappy free games and the crappy deals. I’ve been a Sony guy since the beginning, but you guys and your whole scheme here is getting rediculous, with your money grabs here and there. Playstation Now is horrible, quit being greedy, and quit letting XBox kick your butts.

    All you people complaining about the game selection. They don’t have to give us anything for free. It is their choice as to give us games or not.

    As for the selection, it’s not all up to them, the makers of the games have to agree to have their game up on ps+.

    You don’t like any of it, you don’t need to be here, there are plenty of other things to do, other console to play on.

    Thank you Sony, I at least appreciate that you are willing to give us something back.

      Like it’s our choice to own a PS4, let alone pay for PlayStation Plus.
      This may be my last two months on Plus, I’m done with wasting my money on a service I barely use to it’s full extent.
      I hope that others wake up as well and realize that we still have way better options than Sony in general.

    why cant sony put some quality games in it? like alien isolation or whatever.

    why can microsoft handle those bigger titles and sony cant?
    Assassins Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends, Tomb Raider DE, Walking Dead, Child of Light,

    all i see is a bunch of shovelware from ps plus and not worth to renew my subscription, its really getting annoying with

    I am so tired of indie titles. I want next gen games not developers versions of Atari – Ps2 graphics. It’s out of control lately and the kiddies love them for some reason. Hey I pop in a cartridge game for the kids and they can live the same experience that most indie games are giving us!!! I want more next gen games personally not backwards material. The ps plus is for free but I would like try some AAA titles instead of indie. But, I look at it this way holiday season is right around the bend and distracting gamers with quick titles promotes the new lineup in stores. So, it will get better once the holiday season ends.

    I think everyone needs to calm down. I understand that not everyone likes indie games but the ps4 is very early in its life cycle. Not enough games are out yet for ps4 to give away all the triple a games every month. If they give away a triple a game every month, the developers of those games wouldn’t be making that much money. It doesn’t help that many people who were waiting to get the ps4 would have bought those games but got them for free. I feel like 2016 will have more triple a games that came out this year. Besides, people complaining about assassins creed black flag, a lot of people have already bought the game and beat it. For those of you complaining that xbox does it better, the game this month was Tomb raider. I may have liked tomb raider but i already beat it and the multiplayer was broken as hell. So xbox gives bad games too.

    It’s not that every game on the lineup is total trash. Rather it’s the limited genres that annoy people, as 90% of plus games are indy /adventure games. I suggest mixing it up a little…. When’s the last rpg or fps we’ve seen here?

    Frankly I’m not too happy with this months line-up.

    If you were so inclined to add more value to the line up itself just stick a couple Ps1 or Ps2 classics in there, At the very least I could have more Ps2 games on the comfortability of my Ps3 without having to plug the Ps2 again.
    Otherwise, Maybe try and select better indie games? So that we’re not stuck with Kickbeat?
    I really like the sales though, I just wish more games were added to the PS Store, such as El Shaddai Ascencion of Metatron, since it’s only availble for Playstation streaming service, which doesn’t work all that well for me.

    I hope the general complaints I see here are adressed, or I may just consider not continuing with my membership.

    I get it guys, PS+ isn’t what it once was. Yes that is disappointing. Yes I’d love to see some triple A games. At the same time, it doesn’t make this game list bad. I honestly don’t mind all that much that we get a bunch of the indie stuff. The reality is I Almost never buy them, so it’s kind of nice to see what I’m missing. There are a few gems in the indie category I’ve loved. Also, I buy the triple A games I really want around their release dates, so when it comes right down to it, I’m getting more bang for my buck with indie. Otherwise they’d be giving me games I bought long ago or triple A games I never cared to play in the first place. Every gamer is different though, so Imyou have every right to try to change this model if it isn’t working for you. This month I am very interested though in trying Broken Age. Thanks!

    I hope so.

    I and many others are fed up with indie games we pay more per year than xbox users have to and xbox users get descent games not indie games. At the moment they have tomb raider and we have some home brew indie game.

    Come on Sony there’s no need for these shoddy games where’s some gems even games from the ps3 what are in the rental store wouldn’t go a miss. This isn’t hard surely
