You’ve asked for it and we listened. Today we finally get to announce that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception are being released for the PS4 in the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, available October 9, 2015!
Since the launch of the PS4, we’ve seen plenty of requests across our Twitter, Facebook, and message boards all over the internet to provide remastered releases for the first three games in the Uncharted series, which sold an amazing 21+ million copies and garnered an average 92 Metacritic rating. We couldn’t agree more. What better way to prepare for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End than to revisit – or play for the first time – the first three games that launched the fortune hunting icon that is Nathan Drake?
Early last month, Eric and I took a trip to Austin on the down low to visit the incredible team at Bluepoint Games to check out Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in person and get ready for this announcement. What we’ve seen of the game so far looks fantastic!
The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of ports and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game. That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies. We put together the list of these improvements and additions based on countless forum posts, messages, Tweets, and even through personal conversations we’ve had with a number of you over the years. More on these specifics in future updates.
By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection today, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme as an immediate download.

These are the only multiplayer games I care about and to not have that included is frankly devastating. Particularly the co-op, that’s what I wanted most from this collection! Without it, my interest is fading fast. Curious that you guys would retain mp for TLoU and not do it here -_-
Will the game include a 30fps cap like in The Last of Us Remastered?
No golden abyss? You can use the touch pad for the qtes. Also, I take it only single player trophies?
Amazing news, but title is incredibly lame. It’s obvious they’re copying Halo:MCC, and with Golden Abyss missing, “Nathan Drake Collection” doesn’t even make sense. HD Trilogy Remastered or even just “Uncharted Collection” (remove Nathan Drake) would have been better and made more sense imo.
Regardless, name gripe (and disappointing lack of multiplayer) aside, all else here especially U4 beta access sounds incredibly awesome.
I love Mp but I also love free time. I’d get re-addicted all over again. Plus they would have to have a team maintaining it. I think this is the best choice.
Came over from xbox last gen so pretty pumped for this. Have only ever played Golden Abyss out of the series so it will be three brand new games to play and complete in time for number 4 coming out next spring.
Multiplayer doesn’t interest me but I can understand why some are disappointed that it’s not included. Hopefully they will make the multiplayer on 4 amazing to make up for it!

Youd would be shocked to see how many caudal gamers identify the game as Drake. Ive worked retail since before U2 and its a very common thing for people to just call it by that. Km guessing it’s a marketing thing.

I think I’ve hit my tolerance limit for ps4 remakes… well, except for Catherine. If Atlus decides to redo Catherine for the PS4 I’d be all over it.

Sony took off backwards compatibility on the PS4 and design it so drastically from the PS3 so they can take more money out of the ponies and sell you games from the PS3 ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!

Of all the HD Remakes, Remasters, Re-Releases ext this is the one I am hands down most excited for :) I can’t wait to re-experience the entire trilogy before we can no longer call it a trilogy XD It is a nice time filler while I wait for Uncharted 4

Dropping the 3d support is a terrible idea. It’s really annoying when I buy a 3000 dollar Sony 3d tv to play 3d games and Sony cares so little that they don’t include 3d in games that had it to begin with. This makes me worry about Project Morpheus. I’m planning on buying that no matter what it costs. Is it fair to expect Sony to drop that after a year also? Come on Sony, you have my money. Please stop making it a waste.
I am sorry, but I think $60 is way too much. I was thinking $39.99 so I guess I’ll wait for a price drop before replaying it.

Keep in mind, that for those that claiming to be big fans of the MP, and all upset about it not being there, and still play it. It’s still there for you to play with an already committed community on the PS3. Uncharted 4 won’t be that far behind the trilogy collection, and there will be plenty of MP for you to move on to then. Though for me, I’d be happy if there wasn’t. I’d kind of like to see devs start splitting up games like this. Games that are very much story focused first, with a MP mode. Sell the story for $45 and the MP for $15 or $20. We’ll actually see just how popular MP really is in these games then.
If $60 is too much for you to pay for THREE amazing games, then I don’t know what to tell you. You probably shouldn’t have bought any new console to begin with.
I am a UC superfan, which you can tell from my avatar. I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time and the most important reason is that I want to have fun with my friends in MP of UC2/UC3. Now, you tell me there’s NO MP!!!! Come on!!! The Beta with a limited time is not enough to compensate this!!!!!!

You are taking out half the games of Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 and selling this for $60? What is going on with Sony first party support for PS4? This Holiday it is basically Until Dawn as PS4 only exclusives for first party titles.
AND taking out 3D support from UC3?
NO 3D, NO DEAL! Naughty Dogs are the gods of 3D after UC3, that was the best 3D I’ve ever seen on PS3 which is 8 year old technology. Now the PS4 is more than capable of running all 3 games in 3D, not just UC3.
Dropping 3D in TLOU was a huge mistake after UC3, it would be tragic to squander their own talent for this PS4 collection. 3D is the only worthwhile improvement, I’d be wasting my time and money if it’s just a graphical improvement.
I REALLY liked the stories, but I had to put down UC1 so many times because I wanted to throw my controller. :-p

Will these be using the UC4 engine or an enhanced UC3 engine?
Even though you said no 3D support, I think plenty of people would like it, so I suggest the team takes it into consideration. Perhaps it could be added in a patch later. PS4 does 3D great and it can be done in either 720p or Side-by-Side in 1080p while maintaining the exact same frame rate as it would have in full 1080p. It’s also fairly easy to implement, especially in Uncharted 3’s case since it’s already there. I suspect one concern may be the cutscenes taking up extra space, but those can remain 2D if that’s the problem.
Also, many fans such as myself would love it if a 30fps cap option was included, just like in The Last of Us Remastered. 60fps can feel weird to the experience when the original was 30fps. 30fps can be better from a purist position, and some consider it to be better in some cases from an artistic position as well. Either way, I think an option is a good idea, and fairly easy to implement as well, whether people would use it much or not.
Question: Will there be any other way to get into the MP Beta? I will be getting Uncharted 4 but unfortunately am not interested in this collection right now. Still I would like to take part in the beta.

Awesome news! Been expecting this for a while. I´ve played and finished the games tons of times and I can´t wait to do it all over again.
I wonder how the trophy support will be for this remaster if there will even be any trophies to gain from playing the games. Personally, I like to 100% complete games and obtain their respective platinums so I don’t know how it would work for the remastered collection if there is no multiplayer. Hopefully Naughty Dog can address this concern since I’m sure that there are other people out there who didn’t get to play the games on PS3 but now have a chance to on PS4 and still want to get the platinums from the games as those who played on PS3 were able to.

Why not? The 3D effects in U3 were incredible. I would love to see it in 1080p 3D.
Will all of the extras such as making of videos be included? I would hope so, but some of the other things were cut I would like to hear the official word on this before makin assumptions.
And yes, why not add Golden Abyss to this collection? It looked great on the Vita and for some reason it wasn’t patched to work on the doomed Vita TV, so this would be their chance to allow us to play it on the big screen.
If they could make The 2 GOW PSP games look great on the PS3 I’m sure the same could be done with Vita games on the PS4.
It would also give those of us who already own (and kept) our PS3 + U1-U3 a real reason to buy them again so soon.
I played U3 a bit and I liked it.
tried U1 and found it boring, too much shooting, feel like another shooting game and not adventure game (it’s a series of adventure games, right?).
Will the character model in Uncharted Drake’s Fortune look more detailed, I don’t mean from it being in 1080p. I’m buying this no matter what. I still own all 3 original copies on PS3 still and still won’t get rid of them. These games are so special to me and I cannot wait to play through them again in 60fps :)

Eric , i have 2 copies of all the uncharted games for me and my wife. I played the SP a lot of times and i enjoy only MP. Tell me how long the beta will be available to preorder or no. If its for 10 days or so, im not interested and i think a lot o people will do the same.
