PS Plus: Free Games for June 2015

Looking for the PS Plus lineup? Well, you’ve come to the right place, friends. Please take off your shoes and stay awhile…

This month, the lineup includes four games you can play on PS4. And we’re starting off big with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PS4. The latest chapter in the renowned Metal Gear series sends Big Boss into a high-security Cuban military base on a daring rescue mission. Use new stealth techniques along with Snake’s iconic repertoire to infiltrate the base (and perhaps mess around with enemy soldiers along the way).

Also on PS4 is Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition, a turn-based strategy game with a twist: your army is undead! Undead samurai, to be exact. Build up your forces and conquer all to reclaim your honor!

As mentioned above, both PS Vita games in the lineup are also available on PS4. That’s right, you can play Super Exploding Zoo and Futuridium EP Deluxe on PS Vita and PS4. And rounding out our list is Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Cloudberry Kingdom on PS3.

These games will be free for PS Plus members starting on June 2nd. If you prefer watching videos instead of reading, hit the play button below to see the full lineup.

Futuridium EP Deluxe
Futuridium EP Deluxe (PS Vita | PS4)

A psychedelic, retro-inspired shooter with crazy action, puzzle elements, and a bumping electronic soundtrack. May or may not induce random dance parties.

Call of Juarez
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
This first-person shooter celebrates the wild west in a big, bloody way. Take down anyone unlucky enough to cross bounty hunter Silas Greaves.

Cloudberry Kingdom
Cloudberry Kingdom (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
The dev team behind this insane 2D platformer spent 2 years building an AI that could build a near-infinite number of levels for any difficulty. It looks totally bananacakes. Good luck with that!

  • Of course, because i just bought MGS when you had it on sale last month, knowing it was probably just going to be a PSPlus game soon, and sure enough…story is only 20 minutes on top of it. Cloudberry Kingdom might get me to turn the PS3 back on though!

  • So, no AAA title for PS4.

  • Glad I don’t have to give my own money to Konami to play a demo. Thanks, PlayStation Plus!!! <3 <3 <3

  • i already own metal gear solid V on ps4 disappointing line up

  • Weak sauce.

  • Thanks for MGS: Ground Zero without it, this month lineup would been a total let down!!!

  • Interesting lineup as always. I look forward for and Plus-related news on E3.

  • Great lineup, glad more people get to check out Ground Zeroes. Recently replayed it and unlocked the extra missions and suits!

  • Metal Gear Solid looks good… not much else, but great month for other people. I heard a big game was coming to PS Plus this month. Is that supposed to MGS? Game looks beautiful and is probably very fun, but it’s like a demo. I’m not sure how that’s a “big game”.

  • You are paying for the ability to play games online that is it. everything else is added value. I got plus just for the online storage and the ability for my ps3 to update it self. Now I have a vita, ps4 and ps3 and Im getting tones of new games to try. You wont like them all but no one ever said you would. If you are unhappy go to the other side and get 3 year old games you probably already have.

  • Only thing better then this list, is nothing at all.

I think reviewers are correct when they say the extra $10 they spend on MS Gold gets them AAA games. Ever thought about increasing PS Plus to $120 more a year?

  • @53 You’re indirectly paying Konami by adding GZ to your cart. Sony pays the developers/publishers a rate based on total purchases of the game while on the IGC.

  • Good to see the line up. Decent games than previous months for ps4 but only disappointing thing is that MGS has 6min gameplay at fastest rate :/ who would make such a game. Well at least wanted to try. Expected BOOM from playstation plus for June because of E3, but I guess that ain’t gonna happen. Thx for heads up

  • Well no one can complain about paying for ground zeroes. I really liked it.

  • I own a PS4 and a PS Vita and this month is pretty weak for me. I’ll only download Metal Gear Solid. But it’s ok, I have a good backlog of games to keep me busy.

  • this is a good update in my opinion. Thanks :) https://goo.gl/B6Pnqn

Pretty disappointing. There’s no question that the requirement for Plus to play online has reduced the quality of the Plus games. I sincerely hope Xbox’s free games are great as that would probably force Sony to come up with a better selection.

  • It’s shovelwareturditastic time again!

I suspect PS+ subs are dropping, the latest business docs show Sony are going to make efforts to retain income by offering more value, which sounds like people are not renewing as much as expected. Hmmm, can’t think why…

Sony’s own predicted FY 2015 vs 2014 sales is expecting an 18bn Yen drop in sales.

  • When is the funeral of PS Vita?

  • Yesterday Sony said big PS plus month , buts its trash. I Have Call of Juarez and MGS V they are ok but the other games are trash.

  • Im sorry this lineup is unfortunately not worth it this month sadly.

  • Wow, first month I don’t add a single game to my library.

  • Nothing for me this month. Ground Zeroes is the only game I have 100% completed on PS4 and is great if you are a completionist. It has, however, been seen multiple times for under $10 since release over a year ago.

Everything else is par for the course in overbloated genres. Not every month can be stellar/fit your personal needs. MGS is going to get a big boost though at E3 time.

  • Funny seeing these suckers running their mouth, talking nonsense.
If these games are “free to try” then why is it that non-plus users don’t get it “for free”? Give me a break, you’re actually paying for this JUNK the andrew house team at scea throws at the face of the mobile community. Every single month Vita users get more indie garbage they download, give it a try, get that disgusting feeling, and then remove it 2 or 3 days later.
Which is fine, because judging by the way this company treats their mobile users, it’s safe to say there’s nothing coming after the Vita, so we’re all waiting for the Vita’s death. I for one believe anything else that happens after the Vita will be better for mobile gamers, provided sony will be out of mobile gaming for good.

  • That’s it, I’m gonna have to stop buying things, even when they’re on sale. Picked up Ground Zeroes, Call of Juarez, and Cloudberry Kingdom during previous Plus sales, so all I get this month is Skulls of the Shogun (no interest in the other two til I try em). This happens too much (really good sale, then free a few months later). Not necessarily a complaint, just an observation.

  • Wow Ground Zeroes?….damn thats sweet, when I saw this demo Kojima released I was really mad and to not support these practices I said “I’m only getting it for free” ha and look what the wait have brought me…this is awesome.
I already have Gunsliger and Cloudberry Kingdom but Ground Zeroes makes up for it…also I don’t have the other 3 games and I’m looking forward to try them out.

    Thank you Sony.

  • MGS V The Phantom Pain will become the greatest game ever made. Easily will win goty 2015,The Witcher 3 doesn’t have a chance against it.

  • disappointed again :/
These PS vita games are not the ones that we want…

  • A reasonable mix of games.

Call of Juarez got good reviews, that strategy game might be fun.

Any chance of getting a RPG game on the IGC? It has been a while since we last saw one. Maybe even for the Vita?

  • So you made MGS Ground Zero and Call of Juarez sale just last month and now you add it to PSPlus????! At least let me enjoy the game I PAID for first. Its ridiculous that they make a sale for future PSPlus games with just one month in between, WTF Sony?

  • Hmm…idk how I feel about the list this month. Some great games tho MGS is fun, but short unfortunately. But can’t complain this month as I don’t own any of the titles yet. Sad to come on here and see so much nonsense about is getting “indie trash” don’t get me wrong some of the games are horrific but over all I get my $50 worth a year. So stop whining about not getting all your cheap AAA titles and be happy with what you have. If it wasn’t for Sony to start up IGC a few years ago, Xbox would of have never starting giving out free games. So if what you get from Sony is so “trash” then switch to Xbox and get only 2 games a month that have been released for a few years at least. Sony atleast gives out new games that release each month.

  • that poor poor vita

  • You guys have it as May when it’s June’s preview =P

  • Stellar line-up tho! I’ve heard good things about SotS. Cloudberry Kingdom and Gunslinger are excellent games so I hope people check them out!

  • @62 – that’s why I said “my own money”. I don’t care if Sony pays them or not. Not my problem.

  • augusto_recordon

Oh please! Seriously? Another major disappointment this month for PS4. Why would we want to play PS Vita games on a PS4? Enough with the Cross Buy, it’s insulting. And Ground Zeroes?! What a joke!!! it hardly qualifies as a demo, since its campaign is not even 2 hours long.

  • I never purchased Ground Zeroes, or any of these Plus titles for that matter. I knew GZ would eventually be free. I’ll grab Cloudberry Kingdom as well – but passing on the rest of them.

  • Will buy The Witcher 3 when the games half price or less. Im sick and tired of devs showing stunning footage of games early on. When they eventually do come out they look nothing like we were promised and have bugs. I understand The Witcher 3 devs not delivering 60fps, but they couldn’t even lock the game to 30fps. I will pay half price for half the game we were promised.

MGS V The Phantom Pain will be day one buy for me, the game will be pure quality.

  • If you have a PS3 and haven’t played Call of Juarez you should really give it a shot, that game was AWESOME!!!

  • Nothing special for me this month. I only own a ps3 and already have Cloudberry Kingdom. Thanks to PS+ i will have a decent library when i eventually buy a PS4 .

  • Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

  • Very interesting – notice that for the first time, AFAIK, the Vita games are listed above the PS3 games. Looks like they’re going to start treating the PS3 as the last-gen system. Hopefully it will stay on the list for quite some time and not be dropped off entirely, for those of us who don’t yet have a PS4, but that day is a little closer now.

As for the games itself…interesting and diverse pair for the PS3. Easily better than May, which felt like rock bottom for me personally (though if I didn’t already own Unfinished Swan that game might have saved the month…the rest felt like they should all be phone games).

  • Wasn’t it last month where the Vita got 4 games? And it gets the customary/mandatory 2 games this month (as each system does). What’s all the crying about? I’m ecstatic at seeing a TBS game. Didn’t think anyone even made them anymore.

  • Horrible month not a single game i care to play where is driveclub or knack or need for speed rivals

  • @78/89 The Witcher 3 is the buggiest console game I have ever bought at launch, not made by Bethesda or Obsidian but it’s still great and will get better once CDPR starts letting fly with the patches. Phantom pain is getting launched inside of a dumpster fire and things are only gonna get worse when the actual Dev team cuts out a month after it launches.

  • mulishamonster96

Hi everyone on my quest again to get more PlayStation freinds add me mulishamonster96

  • I think I’ll grab MGS:GZ now, but not play it until after I’ve finished TPP. I want to see whether they’re able to design TPP as a full game or whether it becomes hollow without this paid demo.

That’s what I’ll be reviewing the game off of… because I don’t wish to support their decision to charge high priced paid demos.

  • I can’t help but think that the PS4 has totally ruined PS+. I would rather play Burger Time than most of the games that come to the igc.

  • best month we’ve had since january. hopefully this is a sign of how the quality will be going forward and not just an isolated blip
