  • The Witcher III and Life is Strange Episode 3 for me this week.

  • Wish they released USFIV this Friday instead of next Tuesday. It’ll be nice to play the game during Memorial Day weekend. But I guess Capcom and Sony did this so we would go outside instead LOL

Only thing I care about this week is the house of wolves dlc for destiny the witcher looks good but I ain’t buying anymore games till they are on sale cheap somewhere!

  • @KidGreengene

You didn’t have to, that’s ridiculous. If you need more storage in your PS4, buy a big drive. I have a 2 TB drive in my PS4. I don’t think using external storage is a good idea to begin with, as the performance characteristics will be different and cannot be guaranteed.

I got my 2 TB drive about 5 or 6 months ago for just over $100. I got it from Amazon IIRC. They’re only going to get bigger and cheaper, so no excuses for using an inferior system :)

  • @TheTrainJob you don’t think external hard drives are a good idea, yet they work perfectly fine on Xbox One. Obviously PCs have had no issues running games off externals, especially when plugged into the USB 3.0 port. “performance characteristics will be different and cannot be guaranteed.” I think that excuse for Sony not doing it is completely invalid.

  • Wild Hunt Time for me!

  • @56 and 57 – No one NEEDS to use an external HDD with a console. I’m probably in the 1 percentile when it comes to people with the most games, and my 1TB is still doing fine. I may switch to a 2TB at some point down the road, but even that isn’t really necessary. You don’t NEED to have 3TB+ of games installed at once. “But it’s a hassle to redownload them”.. Not really, because you don’t need to download that many all at once. I add all PS+ games to my library and I purchase plenty of other games, but I don’t usually download them until I’m ready to play them. If I finish a game and think there’s a chance I’ll play it again, I keep it installed. Realistically, we won’t play the vast majority of our games after we finish them, but we struggle with the decision to delete them. Just do it.

But for those who insist on having a massive HDD, look up the Nyko Databank. It’s an adapter that lets you use 3.5″ HDD’s with your PS4, which are available in much larger capacities than the standard 2.5″ HDD’s. Problem solved, and you can circumvent using one of the precious few USB ports.

  • Add my name to the “When Can I Pre-Order Ulrta Street Fighter IV on PS4?” list.

  • I’ve already poured close to 300 hours into Destiny and will eventually play The Witcher III, but the most excited I am about today is because of Life is Strange (Episode 3)!

  • NASCAR 15 “Gamastop exclusive” comes out on May 22, I think. For $19.99. Same as NASCAR 14 but updated with “2015 rules, sponsors and roster. For PlayStation 3. Think of it as an expansion for $19.99… but stand alone.
