Another collection of excellent games joins PlayStation Plus this May, and you’ve come to the right place for details!
Let’s begin with a fan-favorite game with a crazy colorful art style: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition on PS4. Is that title a mouthful? Sure! A mouthful of delicious hand-to-hand combat! Bask in Guacamelee’s mix of platforming, puzzle solving, and exquisite video game humor.
Also up for grabs on PS4: Ether One. This new, first-person puzzle game tasks you with restoring the broken minds of the mentally ill through surreal puzzles. Can you unravel their tangled lives and also find answers to your own desperate questions?
Other games this month include the critically acclaimed indie project The Unfinished Swan, solar speed-demon Race the Sun, and the calmly explorative Hohokum, all of which are available on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. As well as the oddly charming Murasaki Baby, available on PS Vita.

Sony should rename it from PS Plus to Indie Plus, since that’s all they really seem to give out anymore. When I signed up for Plus, they were giving away killer games. Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, Bioshock 2, Borderlands, Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders, etc…
I used to really look forward to the next month to see what was being offered, but standards have slipped ALOT in the past two years. I’m not an online gamer, so I don’t care about that feature. I keep the subscription alive for the games, but these days, there’s not much incentive to do that anymore. This is by far the worst offering I’ve seen to date. The PS4 has been out for coming on two years now, and we still can’t get any AAA titles for it? Even worse, we’re not even getting them anymore for the PS3. And nevermind how neglected the Vita has been, where the only content it gets these days are the cross platform titles that can be played on the consoles. Nothing unique for it at all. What a letdown……
Other than Guacamelee and The Unfinished Swan, nothing else interests me. At least I can still be appreciative about it.

And before anyone thinks it I do like and play indy games but if they don’t appeal to me I wouldnt play them.
Alright psn we get it you really really love indie games. Enough with them every month after frigging month. Jeez, can we just perhaps occasionally be given a mainstream game that someone besides the elitist snob gamers have heard of. If it’s due to the fact that you will lose too much money giving those games away instead of the Indy stuff (which I’m sure you probably make money in fees charged to the Indies for pushing their games) but is that going to equal up to the amount of money you will lose when people who have paid for the PSN plus for years get fed up with the CRAP you keep shoveling and quit paying? Ehhhh… probably, but REALLY, do you care about the customers (us gamers) as long as you can make your money shilling Indy crap?

I’m done my plus runs out in June and I’m glad these indies may not be bad games but for the last 5 months that’s all we got freaking indies I’m sick of them come on Sony do better.

What’s with all the indie games? Can’t we get even Knack for PS4 yet? Not a great game, but it’s a real game anyway. Something that came out on launch day should be available on PS+ by now!!!

So anyway, not a bad month unless you strongly dislike indies. I bought and played The Unfinished Swan a while back. It’s great fun and not remotely like the 2D pixel-y platformers so many are sick of seeing on Plus. Well, it’s fully 3D at least. And while it’s short and not very challenging, it’ll still keep you occupied for an afternoon if you let it.
I’m actually somewhat looking forward to Hohokum. Was waiting for a sale but now I’ll take it for $0.00.
We already got Guacamelle on ps3 last year? Unfinihsed Swan looks interesting but as usual just a pile of crap indie junk. No reason to re-sub.

Little bit weak in my opinion. But not horrible I guess. Sony should start adding repeats to the freebies for people that missed them imo. It would add value. Especially for people that only play one system.
Xbox live is kicking PS Plus around the playground though in the free games department. Sony needs to step up their game or start losing players I think.

I really appreciate Sony’s love for third party games, especially indie games, but one 1st party title per month would really make a PSN subscription worth it.
ugg all these games are grap for me, whats with the over abundance of indie/third party games… where’s the good games gonna come.. seriously put something good out there like some good psone or ps2 games or even something like mordor or something, doesnt have to be relatively new but heck, give me something more for my buck x.x. not meaning to complain but I havent gotten anything of intrest in the last few months.
Good list I have a ps3, ps4 and psvita. The ps4 games look fun and I’m addicted to all these vita games their addicting. I request a main stream game or 2 next month for ps4. Thankful for the discount on the psn download exclusive for new wolfenstein that comes out in a few days and the discounted payday 2 preorder which imma get. Keep up the good work people b**** but when the only competitors are a pos Wii u and a garbage of an Xbox one, I’m p!aystation for life and been so since PS one.
Wth sony i remember when playstation plus used to give away really good games and it was every week now its once a month and all you guys mostly put out is indie games maybe a AAA game every now and then on ps3 but ps4 gets crap and then more crap and then the next month its still more crap you guys are slacking big time i dont see how all of these people are leaving such good comments about getting childish crap games most of the games i have seen released on ps4 is stuff my 4 year old would like to play step it up sony your already starting to lose a fan i didnt pay 50 bucks to be let down constantly i used to argue with xbox fans about how playstation is the better console and now im starting to change my mind im hopeing next month will be better seeing hows we have already been put on the departing train leading us to crap gameville again

Hmmm… I think it’s you who must have just started with Plus. I remember the early days before the IGC when the only bonuses we would get were episodes of Qore, a couple of minis, and maybe an avatar or a theme. When a $15-$20 game was thrown in every once in a while, people were amazed. Oh yeah, and, remember the cloud storage back then was only 150MB.

Wow. Usually, when the PS4 is clogged with indie “rogue-like” puzzle garbage, at least the my sub for the Vita offers something.
Not this month it seems. Not even the discounts are any good.
Stop complaining people. It’s going to take a while to get more AAA games free for PS4. Besides 2014 was pretty bad for gaming. It was filled with remasters and half done games. We should be making sure that doesn’t happen this year instead of complaining about these indie games, since indie games have been more enjoyable then the AAA games lately.

These past few months have been kinda bad for PS+.. I don’t mind Indies but nothing since Transistor has been interesting to me. *sigh*

This lineup is absolute ****. First waste of a month since I started PS plus back in december. Guacamelee is good but everyone has played it already its been on sale and remade so many times. Every other game is worthless. Its art, puzzle, and “relaxing” game. No real games. I really wish they would start getting bigger budget games instead of scraping the bottom of the barrel for games nobody wants. Go back to your good months! 0/10.
Worst month ever. Nothing but indie games, nothing worth anything on PS3. You’d think with the PS3 being faded out they afford to throw us a AAA title this month. Probably the last month I’ll subscribe toPlus and just buy the games I want at flea markets and save some money.
Ohh :s i usually don’t care about indie games in the ps plus IGC lineup but there’s a few that i’d have liked to try but am not too sure would have purchased them personally (the unfinished swan, journey & flower, specifically)
So this is actually pretty awesome n.n, i mean thanks to all of these discounts i’ve been keeping an eye on since november last year i am pretty packed with A-List games as it is, it’s different from last year where i kinda depended on the free IGC game more.
And we did get yakuza 4, prototype 2 and dishonored which were pretty cool so i’m hoping that means the trend of including a-list games won’t stop completely.
This is crazy! Cut the indie s*** and give us something worth while. I’m paying 50 dollars a year just to use my console. its the least that you could do.
Why is it so hard to get games on here that people WANT to play? I mean, just look at the collection you have this month. Just stop and look:
– an arcadey racer that looks like it was ported directly from the free apps on the Google Play store.
– a failed second-party game that Sony couldn’t drum up any interest for either before or after it was released.
– three indie games NOBODY has ever heard of before… with good reason.
– and a re-release of Guacamele… another game almost nobody cares about and everyone stopped playing years ago.
What – exactly – am I supposed to be excited about? Washed up old games and no-name indies?
How about this:
Limit yourselves to NO MORE THAN two indie titles PER MONTH. Across all platforms.
Add (no more than and no less than) one well-received PS1 or PS2 game per month.
Two to three AA or middle-market games that may have been missed by the general public, but are quality titles.
Finally, every other month, one solid top-tier AAA game.
If that means fewer games but BETTER games? I’m okay with that. Right now, you guys are going overboard with dumping your back catalog on us and shilling your indie friends’ cheap and tacky games.
Until you guys get your house in order, guess I’ll keep playing my Wii U. Playstation is a wasteland anymore. You may even lose my PS+ renewal as well.

Been wanting to pick up Race The Sun for a while, glad to see that it’s on the lineup for this month. Looks to be the best since February.
These games are a joke we want at least one and game a month and why do PlayStation only cater mostly for online play I want to see moor couch co-op games as the wife loves playing the playstastion on two player campaign mode with me I’m getting fed up of the not even bog standard games we get we have hade hardly any decent games on ps plus since it was released
