Arrowhead Game Studios, in conjunction with Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), today signed the Declaration of War between Super Earth and the intergalactic alien threat.

With immediate effect from March 3rd, 2015, Helldivers are to be dispatched to the front lines of PS4, PS3 and PS Vita systems.
The Federation has decided that the bug threat is becoming too great. Senator John W. Killjoy declared that “The bugs have been a plague in this galaxy for far too long, they must now be eradicated before they spread to other worlds.”
With the Helldiver troops spearheading the assault we are confident of success.

To answer a few questions in the comments, yes we have cross play, meaning you can play with your friends on PS3 and PS VITA even while playing on a PS4. We also have cross-save meaning you can continue to spread democracy on your VITA when you leave your PS4 at home!
Regarding concerns for our always on friendly fire, we have a report and commend system in place that should strongly discourage intentional griefing, but it’s worth remembering that accidents do happen. Especially when you have multiple inbound air strikes and holding a live grenade in your hand :D

I LOVED Dead Nation and have Seriously been looking forward to THIS and Alien Nation as well. I actually got to play this at Playstation Experience! We got seriously crushed while having SO Much freaking fun! I’ve had my eye on this title and am super stoked that the announced release date is actually within reach! Can’t wait to have three of my buddies over to play local co-op as well as play online with my brother. The challenge is what gets me stoked! My friends and I are super competitive and we will get all strategic on this.
I just commented on another post about 2 weeks ago that I was still pining for this game. Quite the surprise to turn around and see it announced with such a close release date.
I WILL be getting this game March 3rd, PS+ or not. Can’t wait!
