This is a pretty awesome month for PlayStation Plus members with a variety of quality titles across PlayStation platforms entering the service.
On PlayStation 4 you’ll receive one of the coolest games from last year – the critically acclaimed strategy/action RPG Transistor. PS4 owners will also get Apotheon, an action platformer set in Greek mythology, the day it releases on PlayStation Store. PlayStation 3 owners can explore the ins and outs of Tokyo with Yakuza 4 or sneak about The City stealing what you can in Thief. PlayStation Vita owners can see how many generations of champions it takes to beat the quirky Rogue Legacy and jump around as a little boy with a big gun (not so much for shooting enemies as it is launching you around) in Kick & Fennick, which is also releasing day and date in PlayStation Plus.
All of these games will be free for Plus members starting February 3rd. If you want to see these titles in action, check out the video below. Back in the days, we actually BOUGHT games we wanted, rather than wait for a handout (you pay $49.99 a year, so you need to lower your expectations – you’re not going to get all the games you want… If you get even a few you wanted in the year, you got your moneys worth out of it)

Why is that a problem? I have a PS3 and I’m not complaining about the time they gave Injustice and Stick It To The Man and Resogun and Contrast and many other games just for PS4 and not for PS3. You have the power to make a change: leave PSN if you don’t like it and show Sony who’s boss.

This is one of the best months for the IGC ever. And I’ve been around for a long time. This month alone makes a year’s worth of Plus totally worth it.

If you guys want driveclub so bad, just buy it. I have been enjoying it from day 1. Its probably my most played game
I’ve always had an interest in Yakuza 4, but never wanted to drop the cash to try it out. Deals like this make me glad I have PS Plus, and will likely make my renewal more than worthwhile.
Really disappointed with crappy games. even if they are free, don’t you think we should be getting better quality games , just look at what the other systems are getting as opposed as to what we are getting .I think PS Plus members deserve better .
It still not as good as what Xbox Gold is getting, but I’m surprised to say that this is the best month in recent memory.

I paid $50 for a year of PS+, that’s $4.17 a month. We just received about $100 of free games this month.
If you got your PS+ for only $30 during the Black Friday sale a couple years ago, that’s $2.50 a month.
And that’s not including all the other deals like get $10 back when you spend $50, or get 3 free months of PS+ with a year sub.
So how many of you truly expect $50 – $60 AAA games every month, when it costs you $2.50-$4.17 a month? Huh?
I’d love to see some of the wishlists from all these whiners.
I post my wishlists every month, in the hopes that maybe one of those games is selected in the future. In no way do I expect to receive all of them for free. I’m totally realistic in my expectations. Are you?

I’ve just canceled PSP auto-renewal. I am PS4 user, have enough money to play whichever game I want, but I am not a sheep. This game list is insult, as well as 5-days free membership extension. You will not see me back anytime soon.

Why should I pay for drive club when I have already given Sony $50.00 for it?
And what is sony going to do for the people who have already given them $50.00 for there plus membership who were promised drive club who decide not to renew.Are they still going to give them access I bet not only if you give them more money. Even though they didn’t deliver as promised in a timely maner .how long has it been since it was originally supose to come out.
I well not be renewing my plus subscription until they give us some answers on the game status thats all I can do to protest my disapproval.other then filling a lawsuit.

Am I the only one that actually likes this one? The last few months have been meh but the ps4 and ps3 games are good this month, vita games seem to suck though .

I understand they don’t want to give decent AAA games to dumb idiots (myself included) who gave them money in advance for unknown games, but this “we will give Thief to PS3, but not to PS4, as there are not too many games on PS4, so they will buy it anyway” just pisses me off.

When I decided to play with PS4 on Christmas, I was disappointed to learn that server was down. However, I understood it is hacker attack so I didn’t blame Sony for that (although I could do it, as well, because it is their responsibility). Now, when they gave me 5 DAYS OF MEMBERSHIP, i was really angry. 5 DAYS! It is around $1. Do I look like some kind of beggar who ask them for a spare change?
They have very expensive games, very slow and unreliable servers, MANDATORY PS+ membership for online multiplayer for majority of games and on top of that – they are so cheap.
I am not some spoiled brat and I don’t need free games but they should inform their customers that PS+ membership is something which gives you ability to play online multiplayer games, so that customers can choose if it worths their money.
Games for December and January were nothing to complain about, but every other month was just bad joke.
PS+ Auto-renew = Off.
And once again, no love for PS Vita owners. Stop throwing lame, bite sized indie games at us. Last month we got a 20 year old game, and something that looked like it came from an Atari (woah dave, your graphics blow!). I can get down on some retro graphics, but when I’m a playing as a box that doesn’t have Solid Snake under it, i loose interest pretty quick.
Now we get Rogue Legacy, which I actually kind of enjoy…too bad i bought it for 3 bucks on steam already. I don’t have my hopes up for Kick and Fennick either. I hope i get proven wrong, but i’m not too sure i can get in to a game where I’m playing as a friggin’ toddler.
And let me guess, in March were going to get 1001 spikes and the Grip games collection…or better yet FARMING SIMULATOR! Because tilling soil is fun somehow…

Hey Evolution Studios! Look at Apotheon, It’s free on release day, something you failed to do, and still have yet to give the Driveclub ps+ edition for. Plus the line up for this month is not great, but of course I will be downloading them because they are free so I won’t have to buy them later. Would’ve loved to see thief for ps4 though.
Any news on the Driveclub PS Plus Edition? Other than “We make more money not releasing it”?

I get that some people really love indie games and it’s good that there are some games for them. But what about rest of us? I bought my PS4 to play some highly thrilling games. I like good story in games, but it has to be presented in AAA way. Yes, graphics matter!
Also I’m not playing much of multyplayer games, so I’m seriously rethinking if I’m gonna pay for PS+ again. Maybe it’s better to save money for some good AAA single player game. At least until Sony decides to give PS4 same respect as to PS3.
Step 1: Cancel your subscription.
Step 2: Buy the AAA PS4 games that _YOU_ want.
Step 3: Enjoy the games that you chose for yourself.

People saying that Thief *NEEDS* to be cross buy are really spoiled and self entitled. No, it doesn’t *NEED* to be anything. It is NOT a cross buy game. It doesn’t share cross saves at all. They are two completely different releases. Yes, I’m well aware Dragon’s Crown is an exception to this, but that was a one time thing and you need to just be thankful for that instead of immediately holding your grubby hands out expecting more EVERY single time. For goodness sake you look like peasants whining for extra games. Want it that bad? Go buy it.

It is not surprise that majority of positive reviews are on first few pages of comments. It tends to be like that if you have payed reviewers.
They released TWO games for free on PS+ for PS4 (Injustice and First Light) as all other games are similar or worse quality from some free games you can download on PC. That is far from “free game every month” and I don’t even think to stop with negative reviews after I canceled my subscription.
No shock PS4 gets the shaft again don’t see why they couldn’t have included thief on PS4 instead of just PS3. So happy i didn’t get rid of my PS3 seems the only some what decent part of plus any more and even that is a roll of the dice month to month.

I’ll enjoy all of these…except Thief. That game wasn’t so great. I don’t mind Indies. Actually, PS+ has allowed me to play games that I normally wouldn’t have even considered. I have enjoyed most of the picks. I have played, enjoyed, and 100%’d more than $50 worth of games annually since its inception. For those complaining that PS3 gets better picks than PS4, well the PS3 has 8 years worth of awesome games to choose from. The PS4 will get there in due time. For those who complain about a lack of PS+ discounts, Sony is moving to a mandatory PS+ model, starting with the PS4. Once the PS3 is officially unsupported and with the next interation of the portable PlayStation, there will no longer be a free option. Therefore, there will no longer be a reason for Sony to incentivize switching to plus. It’ll be mandatory anyway. The only reason Sony is going to keep IGC is because Microsoft picked it up.
