Well like its been said several times and I have to agree. They didnt have to give us anything. And ill be the first to admit by boiling mad meter was about to over flow with alot of force. I believe they were doing all they could and learned some good lessons on being prepared for this kind of stuff. Its generous of them to give the extension on the subscription and had it been 10% for a day its still giving back regardless of how you look at it. Thanks Sony
I find this time frame completely crippling. This ONE weekend you choose in particular with no forewarning so I can balance my budget and finances? I happen to be broke this week because I am still recouping from all of my Christmas purchases and saving up for Valentines day. Why couldn’t you put a 3-6 month date on the discount or have told us much earlier when the weekend would be to have money to use on this discount? Looks like I will not be using the code so thanks for nothing.

Today is the first I had heard of this. There was no notification when i logged into my PS4 or PS3. Is it possible to get an extension?

To all complainers: Don’t like the discount, don’t use it. Don’t like how Sony does things, don’t give them business. As a consumer, you have the freedom to choose how to spend your money. It’s impossible for a business to please everybody. The fact of the matter is, Sony certainly did not have to do this. If you can’t or don’t want to use it, oh well. It is just 10%. If you can, just be appreciative that you got anything. This discount is EXTRA, on top of the 5 days they’re giving for PS+.
This whole “gimme” mentality is ridiculous, and extremely childish.
@619: Most people have bills to pay and such. Not saying you don’t. But the 3rd weekend of the month is a bad weekend for most people are broke. With that said I can’t take advantage of it. I don’t get another paycheck for another week. Then with so many restrictions its not even a genuine apology.

Putting an expiration date on the 10% code is stupid. I was under the impression that I would be receiving a code via email which I’d be able to use whenever the time benefits me best, but it seems I was wrong If I can only use the code for 4 days then Sony should have just gave a dollar code instead of some crappy discount code.
10% off an entire cart could add up to lots of savings; although in order to save my target amount of $50, I’ll have to spend $450 on $500 worth of eligible games and movies. Anyone feeling so kind as to send me a generous gift of $450 U.S.- hit me up and I will most definitely add you! BTW- my friendship is worth waaaay more than $450 U.S.D.; in fact, some may say it’s actually, “priceless.”
All joking aside; fair is fair. People who are complaining because Sony owes them for the server experiencing DDOS attack are definitely rabble-rousing. Sony didn’t know or forsee it- and i believe they didn’t enjoy it. They probably experienced as much discontent as we did, since they absolutely need the servers to be alive for thier business. The only thing Sony owes us IMO is to allocate a justified amount of profit revenue to spend toward super-strengthening the network security. I’m talking better firewalls, a flagging system, staff of elite hacker-wise techs, monitoring for attempts, etc. If they can keep data from being illicitly accessed, keep servers from being attacked and broken by groups of malicious hackers, I will be thankful. Put my 10% off into that fund, Sony.

What joke keep your code. If it was a true apology there wouldn’t be any restrictions as far as what we could use the code for. For a week it was said it could be used for pre-orders now that the code is out it can’t be use for pre-orders. Thanks for nothing Sony
I got my PS4 for Christmas with just a game voucher. Even after the PS4 Network was up, the voucher redemption page was still offline for another 48 hours. So what did I do? I spent nearly $200 in the PS Store. Would I have bought some of these games if I was able to redeem my voucher? Probably some but regardless, those are the purchases I should be able to use this coupon for, but no, you give me a 78 hours of your choosing. And I should get to choose anything in the PS Store to use the coupon on, if it’s in the Store for Sale I should be able to get 10% Off, instead you block pre-orders and PS+ renewals
I know I must seem like a complainer, but I’m really not. I’m not upset that the PS4 is not backward-compatible. I’m not upset that I had to buy copies of “The Last of Us” and “GTA V” and “The Walking Dead” for the PS4 even though I had these titles for the PS3… ok I’m a little upset about that. I just wish you gave me something I could use, like 10% of my purchases since Christmas in PS Store Credit. Now that would be fair.

As a playstation fan since day one and buying games over 200 new. You have become the worst company ever. Exuding preorders what a joke. Can even get a refund for a broke game for and rude customer reps. As much as I wanted to go digital I recommend to EVERYONE buy from a store the will refund you stuff. Never been so disappointed with a company before. Thanks for the 10% code for all the cap games cuz you know everyone bought the new ones.
It’s saying I’ve reached the maximum allowed value for items in my cart. I’d love to buy more if I can use the 10% code.
i’m so pissed right now. tried to buy something in the mornign with the code, and it kept giving me an error, so i called playstation support and the guy told me to try a few more times on the phone still nothing. eventually he said to just try later cuz it might be the traffic.. so i wait the whole day and try now, nothing still.
Call PS support again this time the guy tells me there is a block on my account because i tried to many times and nbow i have to wait 24 hours. seriously sony? The other tech guy should have known that. i been holding off purchasing my items all month so that i could use it with the code, and between the 10 cart limit and the fact your support is useless i have to wait 24 hours now..
I have been a playstation supporter since ps1, i have owned every console and have bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff, and i feel like this generation you guys took a major step backwards..

the 10 percent off coupon is a nice gesture but to add all kinds of restrictions and to top it off have a flash sale without telling anybody after you know full well most people tried to use their code first thing in the morning is just really shady… Xbox seems like a better deal to me every day lately.. screw your 10 percent off coupon and having to wait an extra 24 hrs after only 5 tries apparently..
That flash sale is ass because I have half or more of the games in the sale or the games suck
