Well I’ve got to say I’ve been a Sony gamer for a long time and have seen some ups and downs but this is really bad. So we are promised a 10% off coupon code for the psn outages. Then it comes out and then is amended to show that it isn’t eligible for pre orders and expires this weekend! If you mess up bite the bullet and deal with it. Probably worried you were losing margin because everyone wanted to use it on the Order 1886. This on top of your Driveclub fiasco has really got me thinking… maybe its time to move on.

You know, Sony, this was never your fault to begin with. A couple of basement hackers got there jollies by jamming the PlayStation Network with false traffic, and you were caught off guard. Never before had anyone ever done something so deliberate, so widespread, with the intent to simply laugh at the misfortune of others. Even going so far as to “ruin Christmas” for some folks. It wasn’t something that could have, or even should have been foreseen. We’re all here to have fun and play games. This err was nothing more than a literal version of taking candy from a baby.
…Or should I say “babies?” for I also must apologize on behalf of some of my fellow PSN members, who love to complain that this isn’t enough. Sadly, the “something for nothing” mentality appears to be strong with this group. Frankly, Sony, we should be saying “THANK YOU.” Thank you for taking time to reach out to customer loyalty over a matter that was beyond your control. Thank you for giving us something to brighten our day, ensuring that we will return to your platform time and again. Thank you for thinking of us, and doing everything you can to keep the good times rollin’!

I purchased one PSP game, a DLC item for a Vita game, and a free Vita game this afternoon, and while they show up in my purchased items list, they are not on my download list. Is there anything i can do about this?
So is this not valid on Vita games?

bait and switch definition.. 1.A fraudulent advertising claim or sales offer for a product or service that is not available or not for sale at the stated price, made with the intention of luring customers who are then offered something else or forced to spend more money to get the same thing..
you said we can use the code on preorders. and not we can not. I got a PSN card because I want dying light + season pass. and I was short. so I got a PSN card to make up the different and not I’m short still. because you CHANGED THE SALE.. that is wrong Now I have to spend my money on things that is higher price or something else. ..
It would have been less controversial to just not have offered a discount at all. Now they are starting to look like they want to have the good press of doing something nice for us gamers without having to actually commit to doing something nice. They actually stand to make money off of this the way they are doing it by enticing people to buy something they normally would not have. First they limit the amount of time you have to use it then they severely limit what you can use it on. So, like many, I won’t be using it at all. Nice Sony. Real nice.
How many time we can use this code?

Hey since last news about this discount i prepare myself to buy a preorder game charging 100$ to my account now i cant use it or if i want to use it. it’s have to be wasted in something else that i dont want.. this is not only confusion this might falls into a tricky publicity so everyone add funds

Ill start paying 60$ a year for better service than my PS3 had with online games, sure. PS4 outsold the **** out of the competition thats more money for you guys I THINK. No good games released for over a YEAR ONE DAMN YEAR.. My controller was recalled???.. what do you guys provide us? A ****** search engine designed by 1 guy who probably interned at Sony so you dint have to pay him and he had no idea WTF he was doing.. Destiny players cant even play the game because the search/ invite/ servers DO NOT WORK on peak days. YOu get HACKED AGAIN and what do you give your customers???? I understand that Sony really doesn’t have to give us anything for the inconvenience, but apologizing and requesting for more money from thier valued customers is a kick right in the nuts. I’ve spent enough money throughout the years to buy a sports car, and I’m sure there are hundreds of thousands of other people who have done the same. Just think its TOTAL CRAP that our loyalty to Sony always gets ” rewarded” by making systems that can’t play the games we already own for thier previous systems… unless we continuously want to spend money to purchase a digital version of the game. I will be switching to a gaming pc and leaving Sony in the dust, and I suggest that others do as well. You can upgrade a pc constantly to outperform any “next gen consoles” and download all the games you own for ANY system for free. Sorry Sony, but I’m done spending thousands on you to get nothing in return.
So what exactly am I supposed to get with then? The “discount” really doesn’t apply to much, not even ps plus wtf.
I’m sorry, there’s no real point for me to use this code. Sure, I could get a measly 10% off (10 cents off for every dollar spent, so I wouldn’t be saving too much in reality), or I can wait until the games I actually want go on a better sale (I’m really not interested in the indie games you have on sale right now), because I know that if you were to promote a sale with a list of games and their sale prices for 10%, the difference would not be very different. And so, I’ll just be patient, and maybe I’ll get digital copies when I actually get a good deal. And unfortunately, I will not receive my compensation for not being able to play games on psn on CHRISTMAS DAY..
Can the 10% discount be used to get DC universe online legendary membership. And if so how do you use it, can you buy it with the discount through the mobile store or can it only be done through the console store or in-game.
There is zero redeeming quality about this limited and pitiful 10% discount. PS Plus has much better deals on the regular, and the fact that this can’t be used for pre-orders just kills the deal even more. I was expecting to use this to pre-order Dying Light at a discounted price only to find out that it can’t work at all. Not only did PSN lose a sale in this regard, but they also lost a golden opportunity. 10% off of pre-orders would have sky-rocketed sales for games like The Order, Dying Light, and Uncharted 4. It would only be $6 off the base price, but people who pre-order would feel like they are getting a stellar initial deal.
This is such a missed opportunity, and the fact that this 10% discount is supposed to be compensation for the holiday incompetence only further proves how disconnected Sony is with its customers.
Question: This discount CAN apply to Vita/PSP content as well, as long as one purchases through the website or PS3/PS4 interface(s), correct? (i.e., the content isn’t excluded from the offer, but the purchase must go through a separate medium, as the Vita Store doesn’t have a cart feature for collective purchases) Am I understanding correctly?

Why can’t we use in pre orders?
What a ridiculous bait and switch. I tried to pre-order two games last night and no discount. He only reason i bought those pre-ordersis because of the discount BASED ON WHAT THIS BLOG SAID YESTERDAY. Not only that, but it’s extremely deceptive to have a preorder button that doesn’t take you to a cart so you can select method of payment. I bought both preorders without even knowing it. I want my money back!
