PSN Members Get One-Time 10% PS Store Discount This Weekend
Update: The discount promotion has now ended.

Hi Everyone,

We hope your New Year is getting off to a great start! As promised, as a thank you to all of our PSN members, we are happy to announce the details of the 10 percent PlayStation Store discount. See the official terms and conditions here.

The discount will be valid from 9:00 AM 1/23 PST through 9:00 AM PST 1/26. Simply use the promotion code for a one-time 10% discount off eligible items in a total cart purchase in PlayStation Store on PS3, PS4 or the web/mobile at store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com. Some exclusions do apply, including subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, PS Now and rental video content (update: game preorders are also excluded from this promotion, we apologize for the confusion). The code must be redeemed at checkout and discounted transaction completed before 1/26/15 at 9:00 AM.

Use the discount on hundreds of thousands of items including blockbuster new releases, award winning indie games, game add-ons and season passes, pre orders, and an enormous selection of TV and Movies to own. You can find the code on PlayStation Store and via @PlayStation.

Also, for those PS Plus members impacted by the PSN service interruption over the holidays, we have started to roll out the 5-day PS Plus membership extension, no action is required on your part.  You will receive an email in the coming days with a confirmation of details about the extension.

Thanks again for your loyalty.

  • FOUND THE CODE!!! Turned on my PS3 and it’s the first thing listed on “What’s New” (the golden icon under the PSN menu)

  • Sorry Kharm I was being sarcastic WETROOLEDU is what I was going for. Just trying to lighten the mood

  • Codes changes lives.

  • What is the promotion code?

  • The code is KF56EM5KB3 everyone. Enjoy

  • Double checked me email and no code. Messaged @PlayStation 15 minutes ago no responce. Messaged @AskPlayStation 13 minutes ago no responce.

  • As I said, it’s on your PS Home Screen, but those too lazy to log in, I used – KF56EM5KB3

  • guys just turn your ps3 or ps4 and its under whats new, stop complaining..

  • I’m in the USA and my discount isn’t working. do I have to have a code or what?

  • Appeara as though the code is different for everyone. So the waiting game continues…

  • Woohooo and there’s really nothing to purchase. Thanks.

  • So where is the discount code for US region?

  • *appears as though

And yes, pinktrash, you need to have a code. That’s what this whole thread has largely been about, at least for this morning.

  • @bludragon77 the terms state you can do it on their website. Not everyone is complaining, but some of us travel for work and do not carry our PS3 or PS4 every where we go. Remember, assuming everyone is in reach of their 3 or 4 makes you look just as stupid as those complaining. Your welcome.

  • I won’t have any cash until January 30th. So does this mean I won’t be able to redeem this code? :(

  • Code is at the top of the page now. KF56EM5KB3

  • Ok, so people are just trolling now. This is what happens when you are vague, Sony.

  • Thanks, I see it.

  • And what about Mexico!!!!???????????

  • So, any true confirmation on how is the code going to be ditributed? PSN message? Email~?

  • Nevermind, so focused on comments I didn’t check the page was updated~.

  • Can I use this code on packs for nhl 15?

  • @lodgedrocket The above sale post has been edited a number of times since it was first posted. The original instructions were vague and did not say how the code would be distributed. That’s why there was so much confusion. Anyway, off to make my purchases finally. See you all at the next badly executed and confounding PSN sale!

  • Let me first start out by saying Sony is my brand of choice for consoles. With that said, I spent way too long hunting for the US coupon code and just trying to sign on to the Playstation Store before finally getting it from another gamer in the above comments. I’ll get over it shortly, but it was annoying.

  • why did playstation say we could use it on pre orders then the day the promotion starts it changed thats wrong, thats lying, and it was the main thing most people were going to use it on.

  • No pre-orders :-(

  • Is the code one time use only?

  • I am still waiting for the email for the 5 day extension. I wonder if anybody received the email. Other than that, the code is up there so I can use it on other things like DLCs and so forth.

  • Sweet. 10% off the only 10 games on the marketplace on a system that has been out for over a year. Which means that most likely people already have most if not all the 10 games on the system. And the arcade games are a joke. So not allowing for pre orders was a fail. Im talkin Xbox One not allowing trading or loaning games from the get go fail. Why offer a homeless man a cracker instead of just brushing him off? Why not just not offer anything instead off offering next to nothing. Next time youre down for a dayor 2, chop that off as a loss and move on. Dont try “making things better” by trying to make yourselves look like you give a **** lol.

  • is it just me or what? I can’t buy anything. keeps saying an error occured..

  • @rhinosana One time only, so make sure you put everything you want in your cart before you apply the code.

Also, it should be noted that the code is different for different regions. So you should check your respective PSN Store’s webpage to get your local code.

  • US users? What about Canada?

  • turn on your ps3 for the code. the us code is KF56EM5KB3

  • I think I’ll save my money for a Preorder instead. Not interested in a older game. Hope other’s find what there looking for.

  • Anyone else felt it was unprofessional to just update this original blog post with the code instead of making a new post?

They could have at least added a FLASH sale for this weekend.

I know I will be holding off purchasing anything in the hope that we will see a flash sale this weekend.

Without the option of pre-orders like others, I would like some more incentives.

  • So, if i understand correctly…

PSN is offline during the holidays because SONY refuses to invest in proper DDoS mitigation.

Sony agrees to give PS+ users that time back, because it’s the LEGAL thing to do. – Thanks.

But, to say “Sorry, we do not properly protect our network against common threats”, Sony is going to offer a 1 time code for 10% off of SELECT items in the PSN store.

  • Now, Sony ends their holiday sale (That is better than 10%) and kicks customers in the nuts with this bogus 10% sale.

This sale not covering pre-orders is a complete joke. As a loyal Sony customer who buys 90% of all releases on PSN, you would think I would be the first person they would want to help out. However, there is not much left for me to choose form, and there was a reason I didn’t choose that content in the first place. Saving approximately $2 whole dollars, isn’t really a push either.

So in short, Sony, you disappoint as usual. While some will choose to see this post as a hate post and me just being negative and not appreciating the fact that Sony didn’t have to do anything, I just state the facts how they are without all the hype behind them. it would of been better if Sony did do nothing in some cases.

The only company who can take down Sony in this generations console race is Sony themselves; and their doing one hell of a job of it.

  • it’s mentioned right on your PS3 and PS4 people…not difficult at all.

  • I’ve been around since the PS1 days, and I’m not normally one to complain, but man Sony, seriously? Brag about releasing a 10% discount code as an apology, then give us an extremely short time frame to use it. Absolutely ridiculous. The bulk of the people effected by the PSN outage probably won’t even aware of the code being released until its too late, or maybe there’s nothing up that they want. The PSN cart maxes out at what? 10 items or $150 worth of content? So a most, it would be a $15 discount for ruining arguably the biggest gaming day of the year. Why not extend the (I assume) one use code for a year? Let people chose when to use it. You’d probably have more happy customers versus throwing out a random flash coupon that a lot of people will miss.

  • I appreciate the gesture, however the way it was originally explained I assumed the customer would be able to use the code whenever they wanted, not only during one weekend. I was excited about this code until I saw it is only good this weekend. You should have given us at least a month to use the code. You lost a sale sony because I would have bought something if your code worked for longer or worked on preorders.

  • I want to see better sales on PlayStation Store. How about put Season Passes on sale for half off or better? Steam gets better deals than console owners most of the time. It’s really frustrating because I want to get Killzone Shadow Fall, DriveClub, and Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare season passes, but don’t want to shell out $100 bucks when I put $180 into those games already. Last year Call Of Duty Ghosts season pass was half off multiple times. I’m not a huge fan of DLC, but would consider buying it if it was on sale.

  • It’s also on the store Online via a PC.

  • A 10 item limit I thought the only limit was no subscriptions
    Come on Sony…

  • Well Sony. The 5 day extension is a great courtesy for the hack. The 10% discount is also a great idea. However, why the complications? Why say it includes pre orders and retract? Why limit to 3 days on a week where very little came out as new releases? Isn’t this courtesy meant for loyal PSN users? Don’t you think LOYAL PSN users purchase what they want, when it comes out? How is such a limited coupon useful to your loyal PSN users? They’ve purchased what they want. You release a coupon limited to 3 days of a week with almost no new releases (games or add ons) and then you prevent pre orders. All of this good will gesture seems to be gone now, not because of the 10% coupon (which, again I do think was generous), but in the way you cornered us into using it.

  • For Canadian people it’s JBFHBPJL8H

  • (cont.)
I have gone from saving a possible $15 in total (one time purchase with a full wallet) to saving
$1.35!! I am buying the LBP3 Frozen pack and the Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea pt. 2. That’s it. You’ve saved me $1.35. That number is not a good will gesture.

However, with an extension on the time frame of coupon, or an extension to include pre orders, I could have purchased The Witcher 3, Apotheon, and Grim Fandango. The good will gesture for that would have been $9.70 (plus any other preorders I may have managed to find).

It was all in the execution, Sony. And you failed there.

  • The 10% ONE-TIME discount code for the US PSN is: KF56EM5KB3
    Hope this helps anyone :)
I think I saw the code listedin a little blue box at the top of this post too.
Anyways, let’s try and maximize our purchases folks!!

  • Finally gonna pickup Drakengard 3, one of my favorite series(including Nier)!!
And a few Shin Megami Tensei games(I’m late to the party and catching up with that series but love it so far.)
    Thank you, Sony!

  • Hopefully Eric you get fired for your false advertisement of pre orders being 10% off too, you know false advertising is illegal right?

  • 10% dis count great idea right everyone

Oh wait digital content can be found cheaper at a retailer even with the discount.
    Sony services are excluded
    Pre orders are excluded

So the discount is only valuable when buying digital only content. Hmmmm kinda sucks now.

Also why not re type the statement instead of crossing words out use interns if you have too.
