The video game industry has been experiencing high levels of traffic designed to disrupt connectivity and online gameplay. Multiple networks, including PSN, have been affected over the last 48 hours. PSN engineers are working hard to restore full network access and online gameplay as quickly as possible.
From time to time there may be disruptions in service due to surges in traffic, but our engineers will be working to restore service as quickly as possible.

10. It will be set to 1500 BY DEFAULT. Click that, change it to anything between 1200-1499. Press R2.
11. Click Next.
12. Proxy – Do Not Use

No, the PSN is NOT back online. As of 10:30pm PST last night I STILL cannot get back online. The frustration is only compounded by the statement that “everything is back up” when clearly it is not. C’mon Sony, after your Gawd-Awful response to the 2011 hack I was hoping you would be a little better by now.

well I get in changing the MTU but I am lagging, if this is what they call fixed it is bull. don’t even try to blame my ips as is constantly carry 50+ mg download and 5+plus upload. and if this MTU is the official fix then why has not sony posted the fix themselves. it is not a fix it is actually a down grade of service and should be deemed unacceptable. they know it is not fixed that is why they have taken customer service offline, not answering phone calls or emails. if it is fixed and it is a problem with our consoles now then I want to send both my consoles in for repair yet can not reach anyone in support to be able to do so. I see a lawsuit coming……

I have been reading a number of blogs and tweets etc saying Playstation was going to compensate users with 2 free games from a list that was undetermined and provide playstation plus members with extra time.. The problem is I can’t seem to find any official sony or playstation news release to corroborate this. I tried to go on the chat support however, that is a no go as there are to many requests for help there and the alternative says to check the twitter feeds which have no recent updates. Can anyone point me in the right direction or can Playstation give us an official announcement about what if anything we can expect. I for one am glad that the system is back up and running, Bungie has given extra time for xur to be in the tower so that was great, it sucked not being able to play the golf game I have with my dad over xmas while we were visiting but, I suppose in the grand scheme of things it could have been way worse.. although being stuck in the mountains due to an accident on the road wasn’t to fun without the playstation to bide my time.

ARE ALL THE PROBLEMS REALLY FIXED? Even though SONY says that they have all kinks out, I still cant log in on my PS4. Sure I can log in on SONY Network but when I try to log in on my PS4 it just says reset my router. That’s what I do and still no solution to the problem. Literally just played a round of Call of Duty with no issues what so ever. I used the information below and previously had 4days of unsuccessful attempts to log on because of the stupid network issue.

I am the most disappointed customer ever. I have waited almost 10 years since my PS2 broke and finally got a new console for xmas this year. I have dreamed of turning on my very own PS4 for years and years. Finally got it out of the box, and it is a completely worthless piece of plastic. It refuses to connect to the PSN and this website claims the problem with hacking has been fixed on the 27th. it’s the 29th and it’s still a worthless piece of plastic under my TV. Will someone please help me?

As of this AM we still can’t connect but we encounter no errors just a spinning icon. So dissaponted! My son yet has to play the Destiny game I bought him. I shouldn’t have to call support just to get online. Come on Sony, I’ve been a long time supporter but this is a bit of a disaster. I will be calling support momentarily.

This is garbage customer service. Two days ago we get an all clear from Sony saying everything is working fine. Now there are thousands of people still unable to use a service they’re paying for and we hear NOTHING from Sony. We have to modify our own network settings that somebody else figured out to get things half working again. Sony’s response, “Did you try turning it off, then back on again?”. Xbox Live has been up and running smooth for how long now? PSN status: ONLINE! Yeah, sure it is.
