As you probably know, PlayStation Network and some other gaming services were attacked over the holidays with artificially high levels of traffic designed to disrupt connectivity and online gameplay. The video game industry has been experiencing high levels of traffic designed to disrupt connectivity and online gameplay. Multiple networks, including PSN, have been affected over the last 48 hours. PSN engineers are working hard to restore full network access and online gameplay as quickly as possible.
From time to time there may be disruptions in service due to surges in traffic, but our engineers will be working to restore service as quickly as possible.
If you received a PlayStation console over the holidays and have been unable to log onto the network, know that this problem is temporary and is not caused by your game console. We’ll continue to keep you posted on Twitter at @AskPlayStation and we’ll update this post once the problems subside.

Can someone help me please. I have PS4 and for some odd reason I can not sign into my PSN+ account from my PS4. I have rebooted several times. Changed password. It is not a network problem on my end because Netflix works perfectly. I can sign into my PSN accoutant on my iphone and computer, but not from my Ps4. Can some someone please help me or do I need to return it back and get a new one. you can reply to this post ASAP I have even tried to call the support number and all get is a message about opening hours and thats it. Follow steps from 2004 disco. Ign posted this fix to, it’s helped a lot of people, just change it back later on when psn is back up completely.
Also all my friends are online why not me
1. Go to settings.
2. Go to Network.
3. Set up Internet Connection.
4. Choose wifi or LAN, whatever you use.
5. Choose CUSTOM.
6. IP Address – Automatic
7. DCHP – Do Not Specify
8. DNS – Automatic

10. It will be set to 1500 BY DEFAULT. Click that, change it to 1473. 1450,1477 Press R2.

I am still having problems with psn being signed out repeatedly. I had just purchased premium for battlefield 4 since it was on sale and I couldn’t even play since origin was down and kept freezing my playstation. I understand you’re having problems but I rely on my ps3 daily, being a stay home mom it gets really boring watching the same tapes over and over so yeah. Get it fixed and do it right so that I can actually use my console without getting pissed off. I would be really angry if I had just spent 400 dollars on the ps4 for this to happen… get your stuff together guys.

this is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Its been almost a week with out a service that almost all PSN users pay for now!!!! I have been a life long Sony supporter and have had your consoles since the ps1. you as a company are really not doing well at keeping up your end of things. You’ve made millions and millions off of the ps3 alone not to mention the ps4 now and you think with all that revenue that u could help stabilize your network and servers a little better…………. I hope to hear back from you regarding this issue otherwise a web wide petition may rise up from the depths of the internet against SONY
It is not back Online! I have tried 4 times a day since it went down and have spoken with support today. I was told just wait, it will be back eventually! So I’m paying for a subscription that I can’t even use? Also I’m not the only one who’s having this problem, I have several friend with the same problem! Resolve this soon or this will be my last subscription!

PSN has been down for 4 days now I paid for a service to play online which I did not receive! Psn was hacked few years ago where it was down for a month! Yous have all these billions off pounds but you don even have systems that can stop these nerds with glasses sitting in there mums house on the computer from hacking into sony!
