There’s a bunch of old PSP/PSX games that never got full compatibility to the Vita. Legend of Dragoon is one of them. What you would need to do is download the game to a PS3. It’ll show a bubble icon on your PS3. Connect your Vita to PS3 via USB and copy it over to your Vita using Content Manager
I did this last night on mine. Even though it’s not listed as fully compatible it seems to work just fine on my Vita. I don’t know why all PSX/PSP games don’t work directly downloaded to Vita. It’s probably a licensing issue but use that workaround and you’ll be able to play it
And of course, Australia (among other countries) are excluded

well its all good if you want to play older ps1 games and all–but a few of the games like the cave–oddworld munchs oddessey are two games that I would have bought if I haven’t already paid 15 bucks each when came out–these discounts are good and all but I think sony needs to see that those of us that buy games when released should get a credit on our accounts like 10 bucks to put toward other games on their network

Why are so many of you complaining… “I want this…. I want that…. why didn’t you do this….” and so on. You should be grateful that there are sales like these and just because you don’t like/need any of the games on offer doesn’t mean it’s any less awesome !
I only wish this sale was available in the UK and if anyone can give me an informed answer as to whether it will be available in the near future I would much appreciate it

Yes, I have had my eye on that 2014 White Rolls Royce. The one sitting there, looking all pretty! I’m sure my crispy-100-dollar bill should cover it. You do realize, selling it for $100 would be an epic sell. You really shouldn’t pass it up.
I really think some of you need a reality check. Hate to say it; but maybe put down the games for a bit.
Anyway, I’m thinking about getting 8 of the titles above. At just a dollar; I wouldn’t be losing much if one or two turn out to be crap.
I might get Legend of the Dragoon also. I have beating the game about 5 times. My second favorite game (after Arc the Lad 2) on PS. But I would love to play it on the Vita.

I completely agree with you. I never understood why they didn’t make a sequel to this game. Supposedly, there was a sequel being made. As far as I remember reading in the magazines and articles online; the game sold well. It didn’t sell as well as FF and other top JRPGs of the time, but enough to warrant a sequel. And there is all sorts of sites and message boards from fans asking for a sequel. There is a demand for this game.
It just seems stupid to not cash in and make a sequel. Hell, they don’t even have to try to make it good (of course that would being even more displeasing that not having a sequel at all). If you have a game or movie or book, and the first one in the series sells very well, and you don’t really care to continue the series, then sell it or make a crappy sequel and end the demand. Just the hype alone would sell many copies whether or not it crappy.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking for crappy sequel. It just doesn’t make sense to do nothing with a cash cow! Although I really do believe one will come, eventually! I’ve seen movie sequel not be made for 10-20 years later.
I love sales like these. Had to grab a couple titles.

Glad to see a flash sale. I picked up many games. Glad to have waited on Dyad. Reading the comments on here, some of you people are so pathetic. Specifically those complaining that you had to add $5 to your account to buy a $1 game…. You don’t think that in the rest of your life you will want to purchase another game on PSN? Calling this a gimmick shows how pathetically stupid you people are (Looking at you comment 297).
I just thought I’d sign in to let you know (since it would be considered rude if someone from Sony did so).
I don’t own a Vita, so I don’t know about putting Dragoon on there, however, many kind folks on here have offered up work-arounds to get that and other psone titles on your Vita. I don’t know if that method works, but try it out.
(continued) Only the companies that wish to participate in these Flash Sales will be there, so why so angry at Sony if a third-party game that you want to see there, isn’t there? I have no problem with complaining when you have a legitimate complaint but let’s try not to be a bunch of cry babies.
Finally, for those that haven’t tried The Cave, give the demo a try for twenty minutes…. if you like it, its only a dollar. If not, at least you checked it out. And if you like bright colors, moving fast, try Dyad. (From Dust for 99cents would be nice. And I also would like to see Ape Escape there. No one will buy Ape Escape for the prices you’ve had it at).

@bluedragon77 et al.: The problem at hand may never be fully solved, but the way around it is to create another account. Go all the way left on the XMB and click Create New User. You’ll need a different e-mail address, but there’s no cost involved. Once you’re up and running, you can buy anything you like as long as you don’t have Plus on the new account.
It would also be nice if actual Sony reps would periodically read and answer legit questions like yours several days later and several pages on…but let’s not dream too big. -_-

Sony if you listen to these four things for me. I will buy 3 ps4 consoles and lots of games for each. First I would love to see a weekly flash sale with like 2 $1 old games , the ones that would be really popular, Warhawk, Fat Princess, All the sony exclusive beautiful games. Next if you guys fix playstation now to be a 14.99 a month or so subscription service where cheaper but still good games are all rented within the charge, or making everything .99 cents but make that per 7days. Lastly, for the console to be 10/10 for me, it needs COOP games. A warhawk like splitscreen game, a 1rst party game that is based on coop, a party game ETC. Tell me what everyone thinks of these ideas.

These flash sales always catch my eye, and allow me to increase my sony game library whenever they come around. But what would really catch my fancy is “The Big in Japan Sale” that was recently given to the EU psn store. I was going to buy so many games from the list, until I realized it wasn’t for NA T.T

Finally some love for the classics. I’m gonna love playing Wild Arms and Legend of Dragoon again.
For .99 cents, i can’t complain. I find it hard to believe anyone is. Sure we would all like better games, but again, it’s for a buck. Being able to add a little oomph to my vita for that price is greatly welcomed. I ended up dropping 5 bucks into my account to pick up harvest moon, wild arms 2, tekken 2, and dino crisis 1 and 2.

Flow and Flower would be good games for a flash sale or PS Plus. They are cross buy on PS4 and only cost $6 to $7 normally – to those that are posting that requesting PS4 support in the flash sales is a ridiculous request. Some great games on sale though, thinking about getting Machinarium, Thomas Was Alone, and Urban Trial on Vita. Just got PS4 with Plus this month so missed out on these previously. Seriously thinking about Papa & Yo, The Cave, Double Dragon, and Oddworld on PS3. However, I just unhooked my PS3 when I got the PS4 and may be giving it away to a family member. It’s only $4, I just hate getting a game and then not playing it, wasteful. Shame all PS3 games can’t be played on Vita, I was really hopeful that would be the case when the system came out.

I know the PS4 is new and have few games, but I think it’s time for you guys to do a Triple A sale for ps4 with games like Assassins Creed 4, Need For Speed, Killzone SF, Knack, and others. I want to get some of theses games for PS4 instead of PC or other platform, but I’m not doing that when I can get them for cheaper elsewhere. Now would be a great time to have a sale like this because of the drought of games. The playstation 3 overall has some great sales, but unfornetely I don’t own one.

Okay, Virtua Fighter and Urban Trial[s] were pretty bust; former seems kinda dull (forever-long moon-jumps), latter seems like a “unless you’re godly, you suck” sort’ve control. Tekken 2 seemed dynamic enough. Worms Revolution, though Worms it is, seems just barely bogged down (noticeable in cutscenes and menu delays) and lower-than-appropriate stage resolution. I apparently suck at getting weapons in Twisted Metal: Black, which also commits the carnal sin of Triangle-as-Cancel (and isn’t reconfigurable?). Velocity was neat on PS minis, but haven’t booted Ultra up yet. Can’t start Wild ARMs 2 or Dino Crisis 2 ’til finishing their respective 1s. Have booted up Legend of Dragoon, but wasn’t giving it much mind, so that’ll need a later play session. But Harvest Moon: Back To Nature… Couple friends like those games, but don’t think I’ll get past the early days, though I do enjoy the dialogues.
That covers what I’ve now acquired…
I have the rest from various means, so here’s what I feel confident in recommending:
YES
– Machinarium : Much as I got annoyed in getting stuck (Adventure Games 101), especially with repetitious noises (BTW: there’s a puzzle that seems to require being not-tone-deaf, if that might snag you), but a good aesthetic and some charming characters/interactions enough to warrant.
– Papo & Yo : Unreal Engine jagglies/patchiness aside, pretty neat environmental puzzles. Ham-fisted delivery of the resolution, though.
– The Cave : One of those I groan thinking about the trophies which stumped me, but humorous narration (Worms Revolution, too, to lesser extent) and some cool uses of character abilities.
– Thomas Was Alone : YESyesyes. Minimalistic design made dynamic by lighting and particles, good platforming, good story and characterization via narration.
MAYBE
– Dino Crisis : If you’re good with olde Resident Evil tank controls, then prolly. I just want dinos, but I’ven’t acclimated.
– Double Dragon Neon : Definitely has its aesthetic down, including soundtrack from resident Jake “virt” Kaufman.
– Dyad : Haven’t gotten far, but again an aesthetic trip.
– Malicious : When I booted it up, I just spent time in its logs of backstory. Even that alone was interesting.
– Wild ARMs : I can’t remember every good first impression, but this did plenty right in control (such as full remapping!).
I’D REALLY RATHER NOT
– Oddworld: Much’s Oddysee HD : “Clunky” describes hos it felt to control.
Got Dino Crisis, Wild Arms 2, and Harvest Moon for my vita…I just wish Legend of Dragoon was on vita or I would have bought that also.
