  • I already have Stealth Bastard, and I don’t have any interest in Strike Suit Zero. With any luck there will be some good arbitrary sales going when the store updates. If not, then this will be a money-saving week (can’t say I mind that either).

  • @CraddaPoosta

You’ve commented eighteen times today in this single comment forum. We get it–you’re not enthused about indie games and their presence in the IGC. Not everyone feels the same way. If you don’t enjoy them, don’t download them. Stick with the games you enjoy. Or, if you feel like you’re not getting adequate value from your Vita, sell it and spend the proceeds on games/systems you enjoy.

    Simple, huh?

  • @CraddaPoosta

Not a lot of time to play games when your trolling the PS blog huh? I understand, I would be angry too if I was so pathetic. I’m sure someone will buy your vita from you here. Then you won’t need to worry about it anymore.

  • @flooderdooden; obviously you cared enough to comment. Run along.

@EGGS_ONE, actually, I have spent more time today trying to give you a new baby brother than I have playing my Vita OR “trolling the PS blog”. Do me a favor; ask your mother to shave her back. It’s hard to suspend my sense that I am mounting a yak, no matter how much she pays me.

Also, “you’re” and “your” are not the same word. Read a book.

  • Long time plus member here. I have to say I am worried about plus. their was a time when many new releases came with a 10% discount for plus members upon release not so much anymore. EU gets tons of sales for plus we really don’t by comparison. Finally we keep seeing the same games listed under discounts.

How many times have we seen

    Foosball 2012 (Ps3)
    Foosball 2012 (Ps Vita)
    The Impossible Game
    9-In-1 Mega Pack

and who would buy these games they aren’t good to begin with

Cradda sure is a stubborn little fella, ain’t he?

I already explained to him how it’s IMPOSSIBLE for Sony to be “pushing” indies on the consumer, yet he still believes in that delusional theory. I also explained why games on phones can sell for 99 cents while it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do the same on consoles, yet he still keeps “pushing” that theory. Heh. Did you catch that? Cradda is the only “pusher” here. Of blatant disinformation.

Fortunately, enough smart gamers are here to expose his lies so that the don’t infect the uninitiated masses who don’t know any better yet.

    He’s OBSESSED. He needs THERAPY.

    Heh heh…

I swear, this guy must have tried to join an indie team and got rejected for lack of talent, work ethic, brains… something. There’s no need to harp on one single subject over and over again unless you’re OBSESSED.

  • I’m interested in this Stealth game. So I’ll be downloading and checking it out

You’re pissed at indies for… MAKING GAMES? How in the hell do you pin the lack of AAA games flooding the market on indie developers, for simply doing what they do?

And guess what… it’s not Sony’s fault either. It’s the consumers’ fault. You know why? Because all you graphics snobs want pretty pictures in your games so bad, so, to give you what you want and to stay in business, the industry heads have to continually invest in the latest and greatest technology (and the people who understand it), but unfortunately, the more and more complex games become, the longer they’re going to take to produce. AAA games are going to be more spaced out than ever before because of this. Blame yourself for the lack of AAA games. The people who cry out for fancy AAA games are the same people responsible for the lack of AAA games. Crazy, huh?

If indies didn’t exist, there would be even less games available, and gaming would die. You should be grateful for indies. They keep the ball rolling.

CraddaPoosta: “I know it’s cheaper for Sony to acquire distribution rights to super cheap Android ports”

No, you DON’T know. Funny choice of words, genius, because it doesn’t work that way. The developers and publishers decide if and when they will send their game to the IGC, based on projections dictating how much profit they’ll potentially earn from traditional marketing strategies. The IP holders choose, Sony does NOT.

CP: “I, and hundreds of thousands of other Vita owners”

Hundreds of thousands, huh? You really want to speak for that many people?

CP: “getting butthurt at my dislike of the indie genre”

I already explained to you… “Indie” is not a genre, it’s a class. Pay attention, kid. Repeating inaccuracies over and over again only hurts your argument and your reputation.

  • @ 106-107-109-110 – You’re saying he is obsessed and you’re having a conversation with yourself. You posted 4 times in 1h.

  • @Riomegon They have been doing discounts on that game pretty often, so expect one soon. Excited for that game too as I recently got a 2DS for it.

@Mando44646 It’s fine, good enough. I apologize for calling you stupid then, didn’t know you were being serious at first. And the same with Mako, I skimmed the comments way too quickly as most of them are filled with Cradda’s posts.

To be honest, I’ve been thinking the same way too. We’ve been getting a lot of good titles on both PS3 and Vita lately. But starting in March, I feel like the quality of PS+ is dropping somewhat. I think we are getting sightly too many indie games and not enough full titles as they are still more that EU got and we don’t (Still waiting for Assassin’s Creed III). Thought I should say this right now. If I complain, I would be no better than the people here as I tend to stay positive most of the time.

CP: “Casual gaming is cornering out the hardcore gamer’s market, and saturating it with Flappy Birds this and Clash of Clans that. I’m an old school gamer who had a first-run edition of Super Mario Bros. 3. I still have the original issue of Nintendo Power kicking around somewhere. When you grow up on mostly quality titles, it’s hard for you to praise Thomas Was Alone, in a world of Skyrim and Injustice and Grand Theft Auto V.”

I go back even further than that, started gaming on Apple II in 1983, moved up to an Atari 7800, then an NES, and so forth. Congrats on acquiring SMB3, so did I… on day 1. My older brother has every issue of Nintendo Power ever printed. Big deal. I grew up with “quality titles” too, and that’s exactly how I know that a lot of AAA games nowadays are over-rated, rushed, broken, shallow experiences, while many (not all) indies have rediscovered and reproduced the subtle details that made gaming such a satisfying hobby in the first place.

  • PrimeroIncognito

CP: “I love how everyone keeps glossing over the fact that I have, repeatedly on this topic alone, suggested a solution that will work for everyone.”

Because it WON’T work, genius. It’s not feasible, financially. Even you would hate it. An all-AAA Plus would cost more than $49.99, I can guarantee you that. In every post you make, you talk like an ignorant consumer rather than the insider you claim to be.

CP: “I never said NO ONE wants indie games”

You have indeed stated that, numerous times. Including 3 times in post #16 in this very thread!

CP: “It never occurred to me that I should not download the indie games offered in the IGC”

Really? Hahahahaha… yeah, you definitely just revealed how delusional you are. You really were assuming that it was all being forced on you. Why not just buy the games you want? Why are you relying on the IGC to serve your specific tastes? Moron.

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @ The_Great_Ska

That was a reference to his repetitive posts to me on another thread, where he repeatedly claimed I was obsessed and in need of therapy, while simultaneously showing an obsession of his own. It was sarcasm.

Everyone should just look at Cradda’s profile. Dude isn’t the real gamer he claims to be. Everything about his profile says, “casual”.

AizawaYuuichi nailed it with this statement: “The vocal minority is always the loudest, but they don’t get to overrule the silent majority.” Of course, Cradda likes to pretend that 4 people complaining about indies on this thread must mean that “hundreds of thousands” of people are upset. The guy is delusional as hell, and recklessly spreading disinformation.

Anyway, I gotta go finish doing my laundry. Later.

  • Any chance of a mass effect sale? I just beat the trilogy and loved it and I REALLY want that DLC.

  • Does anyone know if GOW Ascension will come to PlayStation Plus IGC? Please, I thought for sure this month due to anniversary but nope :( Ive only needed the online tutorial trophy for the plat since it came out and I rented it, im a huge GOW fan but this was worst yet and due to the fact that im not interested in the online and found the story to be shorter and weaker (probably due to online) I do not want to have to purchase this game just to play a 5 min tutorial

  • Thanks! We need more sales though. If you could manage a nice Mass Effect 3 DLC sale, I’ll be particularly happy! Treat a converted 360 gamer well for finally choosing the right platform!

  • @116 I know that PSN Europe had a recent Mass Effect DLC sale. No idea about US though. But my friend is in Europe and got all the DLC for a heavily discounted price. So that gives me hope that we’ll get it soon too.

  • @91

That is the best thing about the IGC for me. You get to play games you otherwise probably wouldn’t. I’ve been pleasantly surprised many times.

And everyone should understand that PUBLISHERS control the prices of things online, not the store operators. They have some influence on promotions, but I guarantee that the REGULAR price of Angry Birds is all Rovio’s doing.

  • I get really irritated, too, when people discount indie games as lesser experiences.

And I’d rather pay for the ability to play some mobile games (if they’re good) on Vita for the physical controls, because i HATE touch-only controls!

  • You guys should remember that personal attacks are against the code of conduct. Just because someone has a differing opinion doesn’t mean s/he speaks for the minority and you for the majority, or vice versa.

You should make your case and leave it at a few comments and a rebuttal or two. More than that just wastes everyones time and ends up nowhere. Based on the text limit in posts, and the semantic arguing that occurs one can pick apart any point even if it’s mostly on point. Calling people names or trying to posture on the internets is just inane.

Fact is Sony wants to get as much content on their platforms. Right now Indie’s are the latest thing and it’s a two way street. Even though by and large I don’t care for the majority of the content, I still think it’s the best way for the store to update in meaningful ways week after week.

I bought Arkham City at launch, does this make this month a bad Plus month for everyone, only you can answer that question.

  • My issue with Plus is not so much the indies but moreso the lack of variety on certain gaming genres. The most damning part of this is that different regions get better variety. This is not a supposition, this is fact. The people at Sony have determined that North America (US/Canada) like shooters and action games more than others. Despite everyone getting indies now to fill the gaps and abberations like when we had a bunch of fighting games in a row (Tekken6 / soulcalibur PSP) this has been the case.

Anyone can play devils advocate and say well they did have NFL Blitz that one time, and there was dragon’s dogma and kingdoms of amalur… etc

But when i look at Europes selection I just wish that my Canadian gaming self wasn’t bundled in with the Americans. I would like to have Pes 2014, I paid $30 for it since the price dropped. I would like to have Sly Cooper cross/buy for my vita and ps3, instead I get Arkham City which I bought at launch, since I am a batman fan.

There should be more variety. More sales and not the same things ad nauseum only to be put into the plus collection so as to punish people for buying. There should be more day one discounts on new content. (that has improved slightly recently)

  • The problem is not the Indies of themselves. I like not feeling guilty for trying a game out for 20 mins and knowing it was a bonus and didn’t cost me extra.

On the other hand I don’t like that sometimes I go for months before I get offered a game that is on my 2nd tier interest level to play. What i mean is If i had not previous interest at all for any price than what is the value of giving it to me on plus.

Sure it’s neat to get a crack at games like thomas was alone, and xcom along with other types of games that never made my radar.

The last thing Sony should be doing is punishing their core gamers who spend the most on the products and services for having the subscription. It is very irksome to be punished for loyalty.

Meanwhile the “freeloaders” aka people that buy plus and maybe cod or battlefield a year or whatever, talk up the amazing service of the plus games. There is a middle ground and Sony needs to respect their different userbases.

Still a better value than MS or the Big N or I would be on there blogs right now commenting.

  • Dear Sony Blog

Please introduce a character counter and allow us to edit our posts. It is tiresome losing what your write, and or not able to edit what you write over an easily implemented feature that has existed for well over a decade now on the internet. I am able to “sense` when i am getting close to the limit now. I copy my text habitually in the case that I err on the side of oblivion. I do however typically find that I have made some mundane error in grammar or punctuation etc after the fact or have a complete u turn on train of thought. It vexes me that I have no ability to correct this, when the technology certainly exists.

I have come to terms that your staff do not like to respond to anything that is taxing to them, or any direct problems or queries. It would be nice to have a little more autonomy though when interacting with others on the blog.

Thanks for passing over my messages as usual.

    – Skeetlejuice

(I would put my name buy you would actually respond to that for violating the blogs code of conduct.)

  • indie games are like underground hip hop to me. alot of them can be better then the mainstream. PAIN and The Last Guy was my first ever psn indie games. was surprised by how much i liked them strange yet addicting games. now here i am, 100+ games on my harddrive i paid for. some indies are just straight up garbage and some over rated to me..Cough**Journey**Cough.. lets see who has a pissy fit over it. sue me. for the most part though i enjoy alot of them. my Appetizers between AAA Retail games. ppl either like it it or dont. Ha

  • I already got Stealth so nothing for me this week but it is really a good game, I want Tearaway on sale o.o

  • shibbydibbybibby

    @skeetlejuice

couldnt have said it better myself. bravo!

side point: beyond these sales (or lack thereof/recycled) on psn, target is finally doing a buy 2 get 1 free deal. sadly the website is beyooond broken. go into the brick n mortar and theyll honor all stocked titles but the site is a ghost town. hell, the site doesnt even have game listings for titles that are at the stores.

while we all may wait till the psn update to find out how poor/rich the week may be, its always good to keep a look out for other avenues to get a deal. psn does feel like its just going through the motions, when compared to its other regions. ps+ seems to be having an identity crisis. if ps+ utilized the pool of games from all the regions that it offers, i highly doubt anyone would be feeling like ps+ is floundering.

  • shibbydibbybibby

for any of us longtime ps+ subscribers it can be painfully evident. we expect more because ps+ has been de-evolving. where a digital vers would cost $5 less, now they cost identical to retail. where it was a standard to have at least half the month contain retail games, now its not. minis/dynamic themes/avatars were offered, now they arent. ps+ titles would depart to provide room for new content. how long has uncharted vita been up there? its a great game mind you, but its been stale/moldy for a while now.

now to find out how to get amazon to price match targets deal…

  • It’s been a sad few months for PS+. Sure there were a few good PS3 games for those that didn’t already own them like Batman and Tomb Raider, but for me that wasn’t the case. I have to wonder though, with more Indie games that I am seeing on PS+, if this is the transition phase so that when Playstation Now is open to the public, there would be a reason for people to sign up due to the lack of PS3 games being offered on PS+. Just something to think about since I am still wondering how they will manage both PS+ and Playstation Now services…….

  • Stealth is the only one I don’t have for this month. All the other plus stuff I have already purchased. Sad face. I hope there is more I don’t have next month. All the same. I’m grateful for the free stuff. Thanks guys!

  • This guy is simply obsessed with me. He usually posts at least twenty comments at me, to every single one that I respond to him with.

Seek therapy to help you with your obsessive issues.

  • Hope stealth inc is good… gonna give it a go :)

  • PrimeroIncognito

This guy is simply obsessed with smearing indies. He usually posts at least twenty comments at them, to every single one that I respond to him with the reasons he is way off base.

Ugh… such poor sentence structure. Sloppy grammar aside, you know what’s funny, Cradda? In every post where we’ve both commented, your post count has either been higher than mine (including this one), or we’ve been about even. So, it looks like the “obsession” is on your side. And, how come no one else who confronted you is “obsessed” with you? Why is it that you’ll argue your feeble points with all of them, but, when I come around, you crawl into a little hole and resort to stale one-liners to brush me off? Is it because you know you can’t beat me in an argument, chump? ;)

Do you want to address the facts, or keep pretending I’m obsessed with you? I can’t believe that’s your only rebuttal. Seriously pitiful. (Hint: It really shows that you’ve lost, and that you’re aware of it! But that darn ego just won’t let you say it…)

  • Seek therapy to help you deal with your obsession with me.

  • PrimeroIncognito

How are you not aware of how hypocritical that statement is? It’s bewildering. :\

  • loved the free Unit 13 and look forward to Stealth Inc… no store update yet though.

  • You are the one who ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS writes at least 4,000 words in a dozen different comments, directed solely and only at me, on every single blog post I comment on. You are seriously, clinically obsessed, and you NEED help. You think I am kidding. I am as serious as it is possible to be.

You desperately need counseling to help you with your mancrush on the internet. I have never once called you out by name, or referred to you in any of my comments. YOU are the one who can’t see my name without getting a thrill of excitement that you get to try to get me to respond to you, yet again.

Which is why it drives you NUTS that I keep repeating the same thing. I know it must be maddening for your weak psychological tricks to not work on me, which is why you have a compulsion to keep coming back for more.

You are obsessed, and you need help. Seek therapy.

  • The Hustle is REAL

  • Oh crap, now we’re back to square one.

Looks like you’re mad that YOUR psychological tricks didn’t work on ME, yak boy. Aww… :(

  • 1. How do you, as a supposed insider, not understand that Sony is in business to make a profit? How do you not understand that AAA games make more money than indies? And therefore, how is it failing to register in your brain that if Sony were able to shower us with AAA games at all times, they would? Why would there be a ridiculous conspiracy to push indies on consumers, when they make less money than AAA games? How do you not understand that the IP owners (publishers) decide whether or not, and when, to allow their game to go to the IGC? How do you not see that Sony is only giving us WHAT THEY CAN, as dictated by the IP owners? What kind of ignorant, misinformed insider are you? (Or just a liar?)

  • 2. How do you, as an insider, not understand that a 99-cent game on a smartphone can not sell for the same on a home console with a much smaller install base? How do you fail to realize that platform-specific programming needs to be done on the port, which almost always includes the following advantages: Real gaming controls, upgraded visuals, trophies, PSN leaderboards, and in some cases, all DLC included. How do you not see that the PS3/Vita version is the ultimate version, and therefore, is deserving of the higher asking price (not even counting that the developers need to be compensated)?

  • Therapy. Seek it.

  • this is gonna be good!
    *grabs popcorn*

  • That didn’t answer my questions.

    Resorting to tattling now?

What did I say that was so threatening? Did it rattle you to see that after you accused me of psychological tricks, I then pointed out that it’s actually (your) disinformation that is the attempted psychological trick? Didn’t like that little tidbit getting out, eh, Cradda?

Again, I don’t use psychological tricks, I only tell the truth. That’s all I need. That’s all anyone needs. You should try it sometime.

  • Can you answer my questions at #141 and #142, Cradda? Why are these questions so hard to answer? Why do you keep dodging them, and reply only with your tired one-liners?

    @ The_Great_Ska

Don’t waste your popcorn. I’m leaving in a few minutes. I have things to do.

  • Seek therapy.

  • I guess you guys are never going to get rid of PS Plus Vita games Uncharted, Wipeout, and Gravity Rush are you? I am so tired of seeing these games as free. Can’t you guys pick 3 more? Rotate them out? Something?
PLEASE GET THESE GAMES OFF PS PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
