Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, Batman! Yes, that is the sound of Batman: Arkham City coming to PlayStation Plus in April for PlayStation 3 owners. Arkham City garnered praise from gamers and critics alike, as evidenced by its cumulative 96/100 score on Metacritic. With the recent announcement of Batman Arkham Knight, this is a great way to catch up on Batman’s adventures.
PlayStation 4 owners can join up with friends and take down an evil corporation in a new 2D action game, Mercenary Kings. As you explore the island CLAW (that’s the evil corporation) has taken over, you’ll discover weapon parts that you can take back to your base and use to fashion together some new spiffy gear.
There are two other PS3 games this month: Stealth Inc. A Clone In the Dark and Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. Stealth Inc. is, as you can probably guess, a game where you should stick to the shadows. The only way to make it out of the lab alive is via some sneaky platforming, so proceed with caution. Castle of Illusion is a proper remake of the Sega Genesis version, not just an HD upgrade. There are new levels to navigate but the goal is the same — save your #1 mouse (that’s Minnie) from the evil witch.
While Vita owners can also enjoy Stealth Inc. (the benefits of Cross-Buy!) this month, they’ll also get Velocity Ultra, an arcade-y space shooter where you’ll teleport around and save other ships, and Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD, a classic tower-defense style game where you’ll need to save baby Tiki-people.

Tired of seeing indie crap as ONE free PS+ game for PS4…There is only 2 good games for ps4 right now in stores, and while ps+ is necessary, we are being screwed by indie crap. Give us something GOOD for ps4 or more than one thing. Its ridiculous that after spending $400+ on everything needed, we are given slop to play.

Everyone recommends pixel junk monsters and velocity so I’ll probably enjoy those, I think I might have pixel junk monsters though not sure I got a bunch of pixel junk games 4 for 3 bucks awhile ago, not sure which ones they were though lol.
Honestly this is one of the weaker months for me, but that’s probably a good thing, my backlog is ridicules.
Good lineup this month, though I’ve generally been disappointed with the PS4 PS+ games. I’m still enjoying Resogun, and Don’t Starve was a good distraction. Outlast was okay…Mercenary Kings, I’ll give a try (Contra is an all-time favorite) but it’s just not exciting for some reason.
I might have to dig out my PS3 when I’m done with InFamous. Still need to play Brothers, BioShock, now Batman and Mickey. And Vita offerings are great, per usual.

March’s Playstation Plus lineup sucked and this one doesn’t appear to be any better. Civilization Revolution given away for free on the Xbox 360 was better than both these lineups put together.

While I did not care for the PlayStation mini game velocity, I will add all these games to my list of Plus games that I have been collecting since day one. And I am sure my son will love playing a Mickey game.

I’m willing to bet that most of these whiners slamming indie games haven’t even played them.
Once again, CruddyPoostains exposes how little he knows about the industry he claims to work in.
There isn’t one AAA developer out there that doesn’t appreciate what indies are doing for the industry. And Sony isn’t “forcing” anything on anyone. They’re giving what they have. I swear, this guy has got to be a disinformation agent. Always trying to plant seeds of dissent against indies, which, if they took hold in a widespread fashion, would ruin the industry altogether due to the fact that indies provide a serious chunk of the support that keeps the whole thing going.
None of us want to see a collapse like that, except for him, apparently. Dude couldn’t possibly be a real gamer. Just another poser wearing a mask. Luckily, he won’t get his way, because Sony doesn’t take advice from the blatantly ignorant, and the majority of the consumer base sees the light that he still hasn’t found.

My only grudge in PS PLUS is the psp games being included on ps vita IGC. No offense to psp dev/publisher, psp games are good no question but the thing is, psp emulator on ps vita is outdated. The psp graphics becomes blurry and stretch out when played on vita. I’ve seen and played the psp games on android platform and I’m impress with their emulator because the graphics are still good.
Hope sony will take a look and improve the PS VITA’s psp emulator or whatever they call it. Until it’s not fixed, they must stop putting psp games and put indie vita games instead.
