WB has just announced that Batman: Arkham Knight, the conclusion to Rocksteady‘s genre-defining Arkham series, is coming to PS4 this year. In it, players will become the Batman in what promises to be the most detailed, fully realized rendition of Gotham yet — and they’ll get to drive the Batmobile, too.

Why isn’t the SEN Add to Cart bug being acknowleged? This has been going on for weeks. Sony isn’t even responding to all of our requests and inquiries. Chat and Phone support gives me the run-around. I missed the burnout paradise legendary cars dlc and now I’m missing these ps+ IGC games. I’m a paying ps+ member and it’s about time that Sony address the Add to Cart issue. Clearing cache and different web browsers isn’t helping for a lot of us.
I haven’t played any of the Arkham games yet… Maybe I’ll work through all of them this year to prep myself for the final game in the series.

Wow, this will be the biggest Batman game ever! And I love that RS will finally be able to let us drive the Batmobile through all of Gotham! This will be truly the best Batman open world game ever! Hopefully they won’t stop here but they already stated it. :( Anyway, can’t wait for this! This is now my most anticipated game for this year!

@68 – because to make it multiplatform you have to cripple it on the newer consoles to make the game run on older consoles. Otherwise they’d have to do 2 different versions of the game which isn’t cost effective. It’s just the way of the world.
I, for one, am glad that this isn’t going to be dumbed down on the PS4 just so the people that are hesitant to get a new console can play. I doubt this game will be ready before the end of the year so you have more than enough time to get a new console if you want to play it

I currently have thousands of dollars tied up in PS3 games that the PS4 won’t support. There’s NFW I’m throwing that money away and buying a PS4. There are more PS3 users than PS4. Many, like me, aren’t budging. Sony is going have to support both platforms, or start making xbox games, because they won’t be able to support the PS4 on what little revenue it generates.

To say that this trailer gave me chills down my spin in anticipation is an understatement. Every batman game that has been made in recent years has been fantastic. this is definitely a must have.
Wonder how hard it is to Marvel to give money to Rocksteady or another company that can make awesome games like batman series, imagine an Iron man like this, instead Sega’s games that even for free it isn’t worth it

My logic is flawless. My fat60 plays PS, PS2 and PS3 games. The PS4 plays none of those. If and when my PS3 dies there’s a high likelihood that I’ll be unable to replace it with another PS3 that supports backward compatibility as has Sony dropped backward compatibility in the newer PS3 models, unless I get very luck on eBay or at a pawn shop. The inevitability of replacement failures and lack of hardware support from Sony will eventually render my current games unplayable.
Will wait for the full trilogy to be released on PS4. Loved playing the PS3 versions in 3D, would love to play it on PS4 in 1080p 3D with HD audio and DS4 features utilized.
@Psycho_Eddie – No man. Your logic is flawed, twisted and bent. Who says you have to get rid of your PS3 to get a PS4. You can have both. The PS3 was Cell architecture and the PS4 is x86. 2 completely different animals so you can’t get mad that an x86 machine doesn’t play your Cell PS3 games.
Just so you know there’s a little rumor saying PS1 and PS2 digital support is coming to PS4 and PS3 games will be playable from the PSN Now service. Most, if not all of your old generation games will be playable on the PS4

Heard the rumor. Not holding my breath. I would only expect a scant handful of games to be made available if the rumor pans out. Most likely it’ll be just the blockbusters. Of the ones that do make the cut, I would hope they’re not like some the ports for the PS3 where features and game play were omitted.

This isn’t the first time a new console has come out and new games have been exclusive to the new console. There’s a PC port if you can’t be bothered to take part in the current gen.

OMG milk milk milk,it was hard to believe when I saw it yesterday….its really sad to see what video games are becoming these days…I bet 2015 we’re getting a new Batman and so on….soon it’ll become yearly…they even got 2 developers now just like CoD.I really thought that that group who developed Arkham Origins stepped in because Rocksteady was no more.

I also kept my ps3, in fact I still have my Xbox 360 (although I’m still not planning on getting the Xbox One in the near future) and the reason for that it was to keep playing the games I like on those console, that are just perfect on those consoles. I do prefer new games being developed only for the newest gen, this way they will take full advantage of the new technology formerly known as “next gen”.
It’s the way it should be, because otherwise there wouldn’t be any reason for a technology generation upgrade.
Or at least that’s only my humble opinion, not planning on offend or attack no one here… it’s just what I think…

This is hardly a COD like release rate.
I’m sure sure the arkham games are great. I’ve played the first one and was truly disappointed by two simple things. 1 canned moves, and 2 not being able to jump. For a Batman game jumping and having your own fighting style is important. I haven’t touched the games since.
Please do release this game on the PS3 also because I bought my PS3 a month ago and I was sure that this game will also be out on PS3 worldwide because I live in Saudi Arabia. There were no doubt’s in my heart and never will be that this cool, awesome game will not be released on The PS3. I will be very very pleased if you do so. I beg you. Your thankful.
Batman is my favorite superhero of all time and always will be and rocksteady is my favorite game developer and I am very very sure that they will listen to me and alot of people that Batman Arkham Knight must be released for The PS3. Thank You and I do believe in all you guys who are working hard for this game.
Just need to get the taste of Origins out of my mouth now, and I’ll open wide for Rocksteady.
