Later today, the next system software update for PlayStation 4 (version 1.51) will be available. With this minor required update, stability of system software has been improved. In addition, minor refinements to elements of the system UI (such as clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time) have been introduced.
In the North American region, automatic downloads for system and game updates are enabled by default when PS4 is in stand-by mode. Once system software update 1.51 is available later tonight, your PS4 will automatically download it, enabling you to update quickly and easily.
Yo Sony…..WHEN ARE WE GETTING WIRELESS HEADSET SUPPORT. For the love of god in this day and age how do you release a console in 2013 without wireless headset support and instead you include a garbage mono wired earpiece mic that we used to use on the PS2 two gens ago!!!
Seems like a lot of people are having the same situation as me with the headset compatibility. So maybe I’ll let you all know what I ended up doing…
I’ve had this Sony Wireless Stereo Headset for years, and it’s still an amazing headset. Unfortunately, Sony wants us to wait 1-2 years for them to make new PS4 accessories or buy third-party products (the latter is what everyone will probably end up doing…).
I printed the Amazon page for the Sony Pulse Elite for $122 and Best Buy price matched it (make sure it’s directly from Amazon and not just “endorsed by Amazon”). I also asked for a gift receipt because anything bought between now and Christmas as a gift can be returned until January 15th at Best Buy. Maybe Sony will release USB wireless compatibility by then… It works 100% wired up through the controller, but not wireless.
Another indication that Sony wants to make/sell new PS4 accessories? The old Wireless Stereo Headset and Elite Pulse use Mini USB. The DualShock 4? Has a Micro USB port. So a new headset is probably in the works, but don’t count on it coming soon… again… not cool, Sony.
By the way, the Pulse Elite headset I got? They’re really an exceptional piece of audio equipment, I must say. I’ve always been part of a Sony family, so it didn’t really come as a surprise. But going from the Wireless Stereo Headset to the Pulse Elite? It’s a vast improvement. They feel a lot more sturdier, the noise cancellation is fantastic on them, they’re nice and snug on my head. And there’s like 5 different options and switches I can play around with. The Wireless Stereo Headset is nice and all but now that I see what I was missing, it was definitely lacking. If you have both in each hand? You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the improvements.
The only thing I might miss is how light they were. I like a nice sturdy feel but for prolonged use, lighter is better.
If this thing would work wirelessly? I’d actually consider keeping them, because they are really nice. But if not, then sorry Sony, but we’re really just not willing to wait another year for new products. Astro might get my business. So chop chop. Us gamers aren’t familiar with patience.

# 3 – Add content to playstaytion store , ( its dead in there )
# 4 – More voice commands
# 5 – dual pictures on screens regarless of location ( such as xbox already has)

UPDATES NEEDED: When r u updating the external USB connection and HTML5 is advanced but for the convienence why not maneuver through both including flash until sites actually have it. Saving opitions on browser should be mandatory, which I can’t make my background display.
really sux that if the camera is plugged in you cannot disable the mic from picking up your sound. It should have an option for online gaming.

I think you should add the following to the next PS4 update:
1.) Add a photo, video, and music section to the PS4 UI like on the PS3 UI.
2.) Add a Save As and video support to the Internet browser.
3.) Add USB/flash drive support for copying/uploading photos, videos, and music to the PS4 UI. (Btw, I know you can upload and copy saved data to and from your flash drive.)
4.) Add text chat and video chat to the PS4 like on the PS3.
5.) Add the ability to delete TV shows and movies from the video unlimited section of the UI (after all, you can just re-download the TV shows and movies from the PS Store if you want to after you have deleted the content).
6.) Add the option in the settings notifications tab to see when your friends sign in, sign out, how long ago they signed out , when they broadcast gameplay, etc.
7.) Add the ability to save your encrypted password for when you sign in like on the PS3 and not just have an automatic sign in or manually typing in your password.
I hope they take all of our advice(the good ideas) so they can make the PS4 an even better console.

This system SUCKS. Can’t plat blue-ray music DVDs in Dolby Digital 5.1. Can”t play music CDs. Can”t play campaign mode on BF4, it won’t safe and most times can’t log in to PSN to play on line. Not sure what type of entertainment center PS4 is supposed to be, but it can’t even do half the things PS3 can do. I was looking for a better system than PS3 but very disappointed, wish I never spent the $400 for all this aggravation. Strongly thinking about X-Box, never thought it would come to this.
I have been playing cod ghost on my ps4 for a couple of hours, now however when I try to play online it says ‘ you need playstation plus to play online’ I have 12months playstation plus so don’t know what its on about..very annoying. my partners is playing up too keeps saying it cant connect to server. needs to be fixed very annoyed

This is rather silly that I cannot use the Wireless USB Headset I bought from Sony and used for years on the PS3, home PC, etc…. and the latest and greatest PS4 has no effing clue what I plug into it…..
Sony, step up your game in developing the coding for the accessories. I know the Sony Corp. got all hyped on the CELL CPU from PS3 and that was a unfortunate bust. But this newer PS4 architecture is older than dirt and a company as large as Sony is still blossoming? This is quite sad, sirs.
Why is there no YouTube App available and when will flash video be supported on the web browser.

Suggestions for future updates that many of us want sooner than later are:
1. Use of personal media through USB (music, video, and photo files)
2. Media Apps (YouTube)
3. Music Apps (iHeartRadio, Pandora, SoundCloud, etc.)
4. Friends list: Sorting capabilities (when they were last on, what console they’re using, etc.)
The PS4 is still a relatively new console and I would imagine that Sony will release future updates further optimizing the system so that games run smoother with faster load times, etc. Just take a look at Nintendo’s Wiiu console for example… Several months after launch Nintendo released an update that cut load times nearly in half. Not only will Sony be optimizing the consoles firmware; the gaming companies will be learning more about what works on Sony’s new system as well. Then we should start seeing new games that look and run better because they will be more optimized for the PS4. Just give things a little time so the full power of the PS4 can be utilized in the next gen games.

Due to the fact that I no longer possess my playstation 3, it’d be fantastic if you brought back the feature to download our previously purchased avatars. I did pay for it after all.

I just bought a brand new PULSE Elite Headset yesterday for my PS4 because honestly I think PULSE headset is better than other turtle beach headsets. My only request to Playstation is to please patch PULSE Headset to work on PS4 the way it works on PS3 wireless mode.
The PULSE headset is still awesome on PS4 when playing BF4 but you have to connect the audio jack on the Dualshock4 controller.
Please patch the PS4 to work properly on PULSE headset and also to be able to upload videos on Youtube as easy as when uploading on Facebook. Thanks Playstation.
I had an issue where my PS4 could not send out any signals to my HDTV (forcing me to turn off the hv and turning back on again). It’s gets very annoying and hopefully Sony will fix this issue.
i like what others say aswell, but one this i have an issue with the most is the share button, and can only upload my gameplay pics and vids on facebook and that tweet thingy, cause i dont facebook, i dont wanna facebook or tweet whateverm i like more options on that, like upload to youtube, or have the option to save that video into my ps4 hardrive to “videos” and able to transfer them to a usb hardrive, and rest of the ps family ideas are cool too, but keep it up
IT NEEEEDSS!!!!!!!!!!! a option to pause background download and if possible a gamertag change option even if we gotta pay to change it like XBOX it would be cool to change
