Pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS3
It’s T-minus six days from the launch of Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS3 November 5th, and we wanted to share a few cool things we’ve been working on as we’re gearing up for the big launch.
Pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation Store and you’ll be able to start downloading the game any time after 3:00 PM PT on Sunday, November 3rd so you can begin playing as soon as 12:01 AM PST on November 5th. This feature will be available for both the standard game and the Digital Hardened Edition.
Then, after you’ve picked up your game, take advantage of the Double XP event during launch weekend from Friday, November 8th (10:00 AM PT) to Monday, November 11th (10:00 AM PT). You’ll earn twice as much XP on all of your multiplayer accomplishments.
Also, for those of you planning on picking up a PS4, don’t forget you’ll be able to upgrade your PS3 version to the PS4 version for $9.99 — get the full details on that program here.

no, it unlocks in your respective region at midnight. ONLY for the pre download does it not.

Where did you see that stated? In this post they just say “you can begin playing as soon as 12:01 AM PST on November 5th”. I know some friends of mine could not download the digital version of BF4 until 3 AM ET (12 AM PT) on launch day.
I was just looking for a way to avoid the midnight release.
I just contacted Sony support and they stated that the game will not be available to play until 12:01 AM PT regardless of what time zone/region you are in.

Wait I can’t play until 3am?! How do I refund my digital purchase? First I bought gta5 digital because of preload turns out they made a mistake now this?! Never again

GTA V didn’t do this in the US probably because of what happened in the EU when they tried it there. They still need to fine tune their skills with the pre-downloading setup.
Regarding Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed IV, etc.: Other publishers may have chosen not to allow this for the same and/or different reasons. I can’t imagine it’s all up to Sony.
Anyone commenting on the quality of any other game in the comments section of this blog post is trolling, plain and simple. (Duh.)
So when we DL it we have to wait till Tuesday ? To play

Why is everything based on the west coast ? I am 3 hours in the future compared to the west . Sony needs to get their **** right .
How does this “Pre-Load” thing work? It’s 6pm Eastern right now (3pm Pacific) on 11/3 and i don’t see anywhere that i can click a button to pre-load this game to my console. What’s the deal?

Got my download had to activate preorder leave store go back in go to downloads in store and activate hope this helps

as far as i know it only activates AFTER you download it

in the EU store we can’t even download the theme ! -_-‘ and with my internet i will need more than 24 hours to download 10GB

Try go to your ps3 xmb turn your auto log on off what i mean by that is the account that activates when your ps3 is switched on not your psn account and try i did this and got a message about auto downloads then i went to store then downloaded it if this doesn’t help sorry guys might be your location im in Scotland uk if you are wondering

just called sony support, they said they are doing maintenance and it might be 2 hours before we see the download><
this might be the first time a cod game has problem BEFORE launch
Still waiting to download the ghosts I pre-ordered through the store they said download early at 3:00pm pst time….. Still waiting…… It’s 3:31pst 6:31e so what do I have to do to download? Anyone know?

Here’s what i see. When you go into the PS Store. It says the game is 11.7 MB. THAT is the XMB background that you get. The game is going to wind up being around 10 gb. There is no where in the PS store or in the XMB that allows me to “Activate” any pre-ordered game. If anything, i would think this “Pre-load” would be a function in the PS Store for us to click on. I don’t see that anywhere. The only thing i see is that 11.7 Mb file. Which is not at all what i thought i would see.
i just talked to PSN and they told me that they were uploading it to the store now and check back in about 30 to 35mins
If I download the same theme again I’m going to be bullisht
@86 if that so… why didn’t they do the maintenance before so it would be in time for download at 3pm/6pm EST? -_- such a shame.
