Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus

Hey everyone. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus has gone gold in North America, and is on track for its November 12th release date! Ratchet and Clank’s latest adventure is an Epilogue to the Future saga of games, has an all-new story, arsenal, and gadgets, and — best of all — it’s only $29.99!

To sweeten the deal even more, we’re including a voucher code good for a download of Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty, our first downloadable game from the Future saga. The voucher will be inside physical copies of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.

If you missed that adventure, you’ll be able to check it out. For those of you who’ve played it a dozen times already, you can give the voucher to a friend who hasn’t and introduce them to gaming’s greatest intergalactic duo.

With Into the Nexus done, we’re in the middle of working on a bunch of cool content that you’ll see in the next few weeks leading to launch. Next up? A video showing off a good portion of Ratchet’s arsenal, including some we haven’t announced yet.

Until then, I wanted to give you this little tease, showing off one of our fan-favorite weapons. That’s right, Mr. Zurkon is BACK, but this time he’s bringing the family along.

Finally, if you’re on the East Coast, we’d love to see you next week at our fourth ever Community Day, and first one on the East Coast! We’ll be hosting an Into the Nexus themed Community Day on Thursday, October 24th, at the Durham Armory. The doors open at 5:30 PM and the event starts at 6:00 PM. If you’re interested in joining us, a limited number of tickets are available here.

That’s all for now. As always, for all the latest on Insomniac, and Into the Nexus, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

  • Tools of Destruction still doesn’t have trophies, and it probably never will. So I wouldn’t get your hopes up that Quest for Booty will get a trophy patch.

Also, they had the exact same deal when All 4 One was released. A voucher for a digital download of Quest for Booty was packed in with physical copies of the game. It may have been exclusive to certain stores; I know I saw it at Target.

The point is: The current deal is better. It applies to all physical copies of Into the Nexus and apparently even digital ones.

It’s being given away for free.

And still you complain about it.

    Jesus Christ.

  • All these years I never played any of the Ratchet and Clank games, which one should I start with?

  • I”m buying it and I’ve never played Q4B, so I’m good!

  • @52 Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a really good choice.

  • Oh this is great…shame I already have Quest for Booty…would prefer a Vita version of Into the Nexus instead like FFA but whatever….couldn’t have been a better deal for those who dont have Q4B.

Into the Nexus -> DAY 1 BUY retail.

  • @46: What on earth does not wanting box art to not be ugly have to do with “milking you dry”?

I’ve already got the game preordered. I buy every R&C game day 1. I’m a great supporter and would prefer not to have to see boxart ruined by stupid marketing crap.

Go look at Batman games “GOTY” versions for a prime example of why it sucks.

  • Since my friend has Quest for Booty and it’s not a huge game I just played at his place.

It will be nice to actually own it, only R&C I haven’t bought.

  • @ Elvick

Oh, you know, the “I don’t like what you did here so you should compensate me somehow” crowd. I wasn’t saying you circle haters and the self-serving money milkers were one and the same, however, so I guess you got confused there. Oh well. It happens.

But damn, who knew circles were out? What’s the new popular shape with the in-crowd these days? Hmm… with all the conspiritard crap going on, maybe trapezoids are the new big thing in the world of shapes…

Oh that’s right, you’re the one who doesn’t like “lines” either, as somehow these annoying lines “ruined” the PS3 slim design, in your truly enlightened opinion. Well, hell, if you don’t like lines and circles, sheesh, what the hell do you like? There’s literally lines and circles everywhere you go in life. You must be quite unhappy, eh? :)

  • Stupid ESRB and their rating square! Ruining the box art! Ruined!!! Stupid square with a letter in it! I hate letters and squares!

  • Stupid Sony and their PlayStation Network logo! It totally pushes down the main box art picture!! All those unnecessary letters!! It’s all ruined! Forever! I can never lovingly stare at video game box art ever again! And what’s with that little “Only on PlayStation” tag sticking down into the picture?!?!? Do we need to know that? It’s totally ruining the box art even more! SO UGLY! Damn greedy corporations always slapping their promotional garbage all over everything! Ugh!

And don’t you just hate it when you flip the box over and see all that fine print at the bottom? All that legal mumbo-jumbo and copyright crap?!? Who needs it?!?! It takes up room where there could have been more pretty pictures instead! Stupid corporations!

  • @PrimeroIncognito: Well played, sir. *applause*

  • Just when I thought people had reached the limits of whining and complains…they come here and complain about a circle on the boxart that is only showing you’ll get a game for free…..OMG…I pray for you all…because you’re lost.

  • Too down to buy this.

  • quest for booty and this one are the only Ratchet im missing! perfect!

BTW… now that u finished this… can u start preparations for Resistance 4 for ps4 pls?!

  • You know what would be great?
Adding Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters on PS2 Classics. After all, it IS the bestselling Ratchet game to date…

  • Any word on adding PSN versions of the first 2 Future games? I’d like to get this one, as I well as Quest for Booty, but I’m not getting many physical games anymore.

  • YO YA COMPRE EL QUEST FOR BOOTY!!!!!!!
    haaaa!!!!!!
