Don’t be alarmed — no, it’s not Monday. Although PlayStation Plus updates typically kick off the week, we’re trying something new by pulling back the curtain on our Instant Game Collection updates a little early.
For September, Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is leading the charge, so you can break out your PlayStation Move Controllers (yes, regular controllers work too) and start destroying zombies. Later this month you’ll get the HD-remastered version of iconic PS2 classic ICO, one of Rockstar’s awesome portable versions of Grand Theft Auto (in this case, GTA: Liberty City Stories), Ubisoft’s loveable platformer Rayman Origins for PS Vita and the classic arcade shooter Galaga Legions DX.

I already own the RE collection, but ICO and GTA liberty city are great additions!
I do criticise when I think its a bad update… August for example, I said it was horrible, and justified.
But this mont will be pretty good! Really liked that! I mean, looks like the complains were listened:
1 awesome PS Vita game. Rayman Origins is really nice, and the only thing I didnt like about it, is that I bought it this month with that promotion LOL, but no regrets at all!
1 PSP game but definitely a worth one, and thank god not another fighting game! Also, with GTA V hype I believe this will be pretty enjoyable! Thanks, I did not have a PSP and never played this GTA before, and I really enjoy the serie… cant wait to play this one.
ICO HD – One of the best games of all time, a true PS2 classic! The only thing I didnt like abou it, is that we could have received the pack ICO + SotC, like PS+ EU already got before. But anyway nice game! Hope IGC can bring Shadow of the Colossus soon.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection – Ok, its not a AAA game, but this one really got my interest! I have a PS Move here and I believe I will enjoy playing this Resident Evil with it. Also this one seems much better than Assassin’s Creed 3 (thw worst AC for PS3). Thanks a lot for this one!
Galaga Legions DX do not got me so much interested because I dont care too much by the genre. But looks fun! Sure a lot better than that crap pinball, and a PSN game that probably worth buying for those who like the genre, a great addition as well.
So overall I would say that this update is awesome!!
But I would really like to get a arcade race game! My preferences would be a Motorstorm or a Need for Speed! Please try to bring one of those to IGC, would be perfect!

As for this month’s update, awesome. I don’t usually own the titles coming out free on PS+.
By the way, since the IGC got a refresh on the PS3 staples last E3, is it safe to say we’re getting a refresh on the Vita staples on November? Thanks.

Pretty good update overall. Looking forward to Rayman but i still think the Vita isn’t getting strong AAA titles when comparing with the PS3 and PSP offers. i would hope this gets balanced in the future. Also as many people have said, more RPGs and less fighting games.
Sorry that I am late to the party but this month is still lacking. In my eyes resident evil Chronicles will be a mediocre game and Galaga will be an ok game. I will give these two a shot and see what happens. I played ICO in the past and wasn’t that interested in it like I was in Shaddow Of the Colossus. Its ok I tried it out at least.

For those asking about SOTC not being apart of ICO, it might have to do with SOTC being offered for $5 back in July. As for the udate, I say its alright. I never played Resident Evil Chronicles so might check it out. Rayman Origins, I got the PS3 version for $7 last December. ICO I bought but never beat. So glad I have it again as I never played it before on PS2. Gala Legions, never played it. GTA Liberty City Storiee, I had the PS2 version but nice to see a game that aint a fighter. I think people have a right to complain but like Morgan said in a previous Plus update the content is done in advantage. Sony cant always please everyone and some months I get upset as certain games go on sale and later added to IGC. But I really feel like there needs to be like a way to filter games that do get discounted so they don’t later appear in IGC. Kinda feels like a slap in the face to buy something and later it’s offered for free. I am not bieing rude just agree with other people who feel the same way.
I think this is the first month in the almost three years I’ve been a Plus member that has no games I’m interested in.
I don’t like playing violent games so I don’t care about Resident Evil or GTA. (Seriously, Does the “Headline” game have to be a shooter EVERY month?)
Ico has never looked like something I would enjoy.
I would be happy about getting Rayman but since I already own the PS3 version it’s not too exciting for me.
Normally love arcade style games but Galaga Legions DX just doesn’t look very good.

Love the vita lineup, and most of the ps3 lineup, however I would of preferred to get the Jack and Dexter HD collection rather then Resident Evil Chronicles. But that’s probably just me.

Galaga Legions DX is really the only interesting thing here for me. I may go ahead and add Rayman to my Download List in case I get extremely bored sometime in the future… but otherwise, lackluster month for me. Not a fan of RE games or GTA.
Hopefully we’ll get some more awesome discounts throughout the month, on top of the rest of the Summer Select titles. (can’t wait for Dragon Fantasy Book 2!!!)
I hate that people repeat this all the time “why does Eu ps+ get way more better stuff than Na ps+?” Morgan has to sit and repeat the reason all the time lol. Yeah the majority of the time Eu gets triple A titles,but the discounts in Na ps+ are amazing. Some don’t look for discounts, they look for free triple A titles. As a plus member I really wish that I could see more triple A titles but sometimes you just have to be patient and wait….

@ arkangel4357 You may be right the ps plus NA have great discount on games, but the IGC are always taken from that GREAT DISCOUNT. Bought rayman origins vita last 2 weeks now it’s on IGC. We got indie/psp/ and a vita retail game taken from previous sale.

What the heck Sony!!!???? I bought Resident Evil Chronicles HD when it was on sale a few months ago during your Resident Evil Sale and I bought Rayman Origins on sale just a few weeks ago!!!! I thought you weren’t going to give away the games that were on sale for a few months. Man I really don’t want to buy another game on sale because of this.

Easy dont get discounts from plus, you already know they will be giving it for free in a couple of months, and seriously dont say what games you want here cuz they read that and avoid giving those games trust me I know.
I think the issue is they’re having a tough time finding publishers that are willing to put their game on the IGC… so they go to the publishers that have put their game on sale and say..
“Look, the people who want to buy it have bought it… if you put it free on PS Plus, you’ll get a whole lot more exposure.”
It’s sad, but it’s probably the case.. The games that come out in Europe aren’t selling well there.. and SCEE tells those publishers that the only way they can get a fanbase, is through IGC. In the US, there’s still potential sale in a ton of those games.. hence why SotC isn’t free. There are people that still want to just purchase that game (mostly digitally).

Ah well, I was hoping for AC3 or Stealth Inc. Nothing for me this month since I already own ICO (great choice btw). But, as #440 said, I don’t get the hype for this month, I guess it’s a good month for Vita, but not so great for PS3 owners (the exception being ICO, of course)
I wish SotC was included, too. I already have ICO. but I don’t have SOTC. It seems like if we are going to get PS2 retreads, we would get the whole collection, since the EU folks do. I’m not keen on RE, but I’ll give it a try. I’ve posted previously that I’m happy with the service, but this one seems like a downer, just before the big PS4 launch. I bought Rayman for PS3 in the sale, but I understand those who are thinking that was a dumb choice on the heals of that sale. I guess it will be nice to have the Vita version in the que for when I get my Vita. My taste in games definitely is closer to whoever picks out the EU games than the person who picks out ours. lol It’s all good, I don’t need to get something I want every month and I am very happy with the Rayman games I bought in that sale.
