Don’t be alarmed — no, it’s not Monday. Although PlayStation Plus updates typically kick off the week, we’re trying something new by pulling back the curtain on our Instant Game Collection updates a little early.
For September, Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is leading the charge, so you can break out your PlayStation Move Controllers (yes, regular controllers work too) and start destroying zombies. Later this month you’ll get the HD-remastered version of iconic PS2 classic ICO, one of Rockstar’s awesome portable versions of Grand Theft Auto (in this case, GTA: Liberty City Stories), Ubisoft’s loveable platformer Rayman Origins for PS Vita and the classic arcade shooter Galaga Legions DX.

RNRAG if you like psp that much then good for you. What is wrong with us? the problem is what is wrong with you. LOL… ps plus service is for ps3/ps vita. It did not said psp does it? psp should never be on monthly service because we paid for our vita service.
Ninja Gaiden/rayman origins are both games that are sold for sale then added to IGC just a month or less later. That’s a huge slap to vita subscribers!
I pay 50 bucks for a year of plus. I DEMAND brand new AAA games every month darn it. Fine. I’m not going to sub to plus anymore and tell my friends not to either. We’re all going to just stop buying games and sale our PS3′s too. Now excuse me.

I already bought the Rayman Origins for 6 bucks on Vita when it was on sale. And honestly, I’m fine with that because if I DO decide I don’t want PS+ I’ll still be able to play the thing.
Mostly, I’m excited that RE Chronicles is free.
I was litteraly JUST talking to the gamestop clerk about getting PSN cash for it hahahaha.

I don’t understand how people are impressed with this garbage. Especially when EU gets games like NFS: Most Wanted and Assassin’s Creed 3 (already own it, but still) for the same price we pay. Oh well, this was my last month anyway. So long Playstation Plus.

Hey PS Team! First of all, it was a pleasant surprise to see this post! I’ve checked the date and it has been here for days, I almost passed it by, I was waiting ’til monday to check the blog. I really like this, it is nice to have the IGC games list some days before the month, it cuts out the long waiting :P
As for the games, I have to say that I’m impressed, they were a surprise. Let me give you my oppinion about them:
RE Chronicles HD: Thanks for this, I have a PS Move but not many games to use it, and some months ago I wanted to buy this, and now it is free… both of them :D
ICO: Again, Thanks :D I have never played SotC or this one, but SotC I have bought last year on sale, now I have the complete collection ;)
Galaga: I am not that much into this type of games, but I’ll surely give it a shot.
I don’t own a PS Vita, but a friend of mine that also has PSN+ and a Vita was glad when I gave him the news.

Wow, so UK gets Assassin’s Creed 3… and we get the “Has Been” classics!? I mean, the RE collection is kind of interesting… the rest, eh. I got all excited when I heard, “AC3 COMING TO PS PLUS NEXT MONTH”, only to find out it was on the UK side. Until then, sadly, I wasn’t even aware UK and US lineups differed. Then as I looked into it, sure seems UK get crown jewels as opposed to the cubic-zirconias we US folk get. o_O
PS – I will at least agree, it’s nice to see selections announced a bit earlier. I liked that UK got to know their selections 2 weeks or so early, but then I thought one would be chomping at the bit… a few days to a week early might just be perfect time-frame for announcement.
I am quite dissapointed about this update, there has been moths without me been able to actually feel catch by any IGC game…
AT the Gamescom 2013 was anauncced than playstation plus suscribers will recieve Assassin’s Creed 3 cuz ur promoting Assassin’s Creed 4… and u came with this such OLD and PSN games

Aww I’m disappointed. I thought I can play all these games on the PS3. Grand theft auto only for the handhelds (PSP,Vita). Resident Evil is only for those who have Move. And seriously this is stupid why is Rayman Origins only released on Vita? At least I get to play Galaga and ICO (more excited for ICO). I was initially excited until I discovered the truth :(. Still more than Xbox Live offers but major downer.

Oh Lord, after taking a closer look… RE Chronicles is just the two “Chronicles” game from the Wii brought to PS3? I had quickly thought that “Chronicles” might be a collection of older RE games. I played Umbrella Chronicles back on the Wii many moons ago… both games are going to be cheesy as heck using just a standard controller (as I don’t have Move or the Sharpshooter at the moment).
Okay, I change my vote… ICO looks so-so decent… but this is DEFINITELY the “has been” collection… this doesn’t even compare to HALF of what the EU/UK PS Plus users have been getting. *facepalm*
@hazelcabug i’ve never said is your problem, but i don’t see a problem with that, since it works on vita, even, i wold like to get sone PS One / PS2 classics on PS3.
The problem is, i cut off half of my text because of length limit, and forget to post the rest, it must be balanced, of course must be vita games (stranger than it looks, vita was one of the reasos for me to subscribe, so when i buy mine i got games) but i see no reason for people asking to remove PSP games, a friend of mine that has the vita was quite happy with God’s Eater Buster & Metal Slug XX. My problem is not “Always have PSP”, is don’t abbandon PSP, since there is good games on there., To my, it’s almos the same that ask to Abbandon Classics and PSN titles on PS3 (classics i haven’t seen, so bmaybe there isn’ classics, but in my opinion it should be there…
For PS3 AAA gamers this is the second month in a row which is proving out to be fail as far as the IGC is concerned…Whats happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why giving us lame ps2 upscaled games..Cmon guyz this is really disappointing

Not even remotely impressed with the lineup this month. PS3 users really getting the shaft. One over-a-decade-old title and crappy Move-controlled game? Yikes. That’s just terrible. I’d rate this month 0 out of 5. Seriously. Just rubbish.
Arcade game again? … I got PS+ only for the discounts, because the IGC for me is dead 3 or 4 month ago.

Too many people complaining, chill out and enjoy the great value we get for only $50 a year. Game lineups can’t satisfy all PS plus users month by month. I’m personally exited for Resident Evil Hd Collection, I haven’t used my move controllers in a long time.
Yep…lineup looks like crap. Was mildly excited about there being RE until I realized it was the point and click games of the series…truly terrible. I’m with the others, I’m pretty upset we didn’t get AC3 and NFS…or heck, even Shadow of the Colossus. This is only my 2nd month so please don’t make this a habit. First time PS+ user, don’t make it my last. Collaborate with PS+ EU if you need to so you make sure you don’t offer us crap in comparison.
It’s almost like they try to recruit more new customers for Xbox One with this crappy offerings for Ps Plus subscribers. They definitely pushed me away from Sony to Xbox with these last 2-3 months. I am ready to sell my Ps 3 with my PS Plus account for decent offer
ico is remoteplayable to vita, that should be added to the pst. Alsovsony should up device lmit to six on ps4 release so everyone can link them to account release day or sony will get flooded with calls.

@544 – Bit of a difference there, if my neighbor and I were both given a free car by the SAME person, and I got a rusted out clunker, while they got a screaming sports car… yeah, I might complain, as the burried message behind it says, “this is what we think you’re worth receiving”… so take your attitude and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine (not nice calling people stupid when that’s your own malfunction going on FYI — but I guess it’s like they say, blatant ignorance is bliss).
As for this “has-been collection”, (I’ve actually read that ICO has a trophy for beating it in UNDER 4 hours!?!?), anybody have any idea when any of it is going to end up on the PS Store? It’s now Monday, September 2nd — I checked multiple times this morning, as well as a couple of times this evening… just checked about 15-20 minutes ago, and it’s no 17:51… and still nothing there? o_O
