  • Really? We just got Machinarium for PS3, guys. :/

Thanks for Hitman, I guess. Never played any of the Hitman games before.

  • I’d like to see dead head Fred and LocoRoco 1 & 2

  • terrible month u,u i´ve better a spain playstation plus, that´s super super super better!!!!!!! now i´ve need for speed most wanted, mafia 2, spec ops the line, pay day etc etc etc and here???? just that f…..ing game??? wtf with american psplus u,u

  • I am seriously disappointed by this.

    1) I JUST purchased Hitman: Absolution last week. While I paid cheap for it, its still money I can no longer spend on something else like one of the Rayman sales. (The most interesting + thing happening this month imo.)

    2) STOP with the PSP games already. Unless they are new (within the last 6 months) I really do not want to even see them on the list anymore.

    3) Compared to JP and EU + plans we seem to be getting spit on lately.

    4) If you are going to insist on giving us 2-3 year old games, why not give us older “classic” games. Uncharted 1/2, GoW1-3, RDR, Arkham Asylum/City. Hell I would take some PS1 or PS2 classics over PSP games that seem to be added just because they are Vita compatible.

    5) Where are the Sports games and RPGs? Would be nice to see something like a Tales game or Atelier game drop once in a while. Now that its been 9 months since Ni No Kuni that would be good too.

TLDR: No More PSP Games, Make these announcements farther in advance like EU does. Give us some RPGs!

  • amazing update for the ps+ Hitman Absolution and Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball one of my favort games i was waiting for them to com out for PS+ thanks alot :)

  • It really sucks that the EU psn+ gets 3 big retail games and we stick with one, note sure why, maybe it’s because EU is a much bigger market for sony? We are not content with this and they should, at least, give us a response.

  • And since when did the blog became a place where people complain about people complaining?

  • @ Stranger_Eddie

I’m happy with everything Plus has offered me, and I haven’t even touched about 75% of the IGC collection, and never will, because many of the games in the IGC don’t appeal to me (or I already bought them). I probably like less games in the IGC than you do, yet I still think it’s a great service, because I understand that not only my tastes matter here.

I’ve gotten my money’s worth from the very few free games I’ve taken from the IGC (I really enjoyed Closure, brilliant game), the discounts on other games, and most importantly to me, the cloud storage which, more than anything, brings peace of mind. And that’s priceless. See, it’s called being “appreciative”. I know, that’s a foreign word to you, but it’s in the dictionary, I swear. You should look it up.

  • Yes to Hitman Absolution, thank you! I like the PS+ content discounts you’ve been offering lately. Keep it up, there can never be enough PS+ discounts. Please though, STOP giving us PSP games. We’ve already played the PSP games on our PSPs before the VITA came out. We’re done with the PSP. If we want PSP games we’ll buy them ourselves.

  • I don’t mind another PSP fighter, but Darkstalkers Chronicle is probably the worst one to put on PS+. I mean it’s not a bad game, but it’s doesn’t have much replay value. I bought it for $4.99 and I hardly ever play it due to the game’s lackluster of modes. I just wish it was a different one like Mortal Kombat Unchained or Power Stone Collection. Or even better, how about a different genre of a PSP game that isn’t a fighter?

@PrimeroIncognito You tell all those crybabies what’s right. :)

  • @ 500 Primerolncognito if you are happy with the service then why do you even bother here? Are you just that LOW LIFE to mind other people’s business? If we are a kid then why you even care argue over the net? Does that make you a grown up now?

Just mind your own business okay? Isn’t that easy or you just want another attention.

  • I really cant believe that have people defending this update.
I mean, its ok to have a personal interest for all the games listed, but its undeniable that its the worst update in quality by far compared to PS Plus EU and PS Plus Asia.

Europe receives 3 (three) big PS3 games per month, and some real good VITA games for Ps Vita. At PLUS USA were getting 1 (one) big PS3 title, and the others are just indie/psn games, and for Vita were getting almost just PSP and indie games aswell.

Come on. It cant be right! =/
THEY NEED TO CHANGE IT!! I have more 9 or 10 months of subscription. But if things do not get A LOT better at the months coming, ill change my PSN region.

  • Morgan, or anyone from Sony.

I like getting PSP games, and DarkStalkers Chronicle is definitely one of the games I wanted. I don’t like Tekken/Soul Calibur, and am not a fan of BlazeBlue, aside from getting MK for Vita for just $5 from Plus and free SSF4 obviously, DarkStalkers is my favorite fighter you’ve given out. But unless it’s Ultimate MvC for Vita, you can give fighters a rest for now. You’ve given us all the good ones now.

Here are my suggestions for future PSP games to give away to Plus members with PSPs or Vitas (i think people who just cry about PSP games are forgetting about the 70 million or more PSP owners who havn’t gotten a Vita who can also get these games). These would all be amazing on Vita and even the PSP haters would like these on their Vitas

    Ultimate Ghosts n Goblins
Untold Legends 1&2 (good for the RPG crowd)
    Savage Moon: The Hera Campaign
A Monster Hunter since Capcom refuses to let HD out of Japan evn though the game was already localized in the PSP version.
    Dragon’s Lair
Neo Geo ports like Baseball Stars and Samurai Showdown
    Ridge Racer
    Mystt

  • Chill out PrimeroIncognito. This is a forum to discuss what we like and sometimes dislike about the service.
If no one complains about it Sony will not know to change things for the better.

The mods here have already said they can “take it” so don’t worry about it. It’s a pay service where a certain amount of quality is expected and we as consumers have the right to voice our opinions.

I love PS Plus. I have been a subscriber since the start and have no plans of stopping even going into the PS4 era, but I’m not a mindless Sony fanboy. I will continue to voice my opinions.

  • @ hazelcabug

Your recent post was hilarious. And brutally embarrassing. Shall I dissect?

    1. “if you are happy with the service then why do you even bother here?”

Don’t you think this question should be asked the other way around? Why are YOU here if you’re not happy? I don’t care for Microsoft or their business practices, so, I simply don’t peruse their forums. See, that’s how it’s supposed to work. This isn’t the customer complaint hotline, it’s a place for fans to gather and discuss.

    2. “Are you just that LOW LIFE to mind other people’s business?”

It’s my business if it’s in my face, on my screen. This is a public website. I choose to be here, as a PlayStation fan. You little twirps are ruining the fun vibe. And all for nothing! Nothing at all!

    3. “If we are a kid then why you even care argue over the net?”

I’m not arguing. I’m simply telling you how you’re wrong. Period. There’s nothing to debate/argue.

  • Worst month ever! I was expecting something like GTA IV to help promote GTA V, or even Kingdom’s of Amalur, NFS… but another pinball game?? Another fighting for PSP?? No platinum for Vita??

Seriously, PS+ team… you can do better than this…

  • @ SpooNManX

I am chilled. A little annoyed by the whiners, sure, but I’m not angry. I speak firmly, that’s all. People imagine that someone is angry when they do that, but I’m actually quite calm as I type. It’s just my style to be straight-forward.

“If no one complains about it Sony will not know to change things for the better”

Really? You really believe that? You think they’re that directionless? C’mon dude…

I’ve got no problem with constructive criticism anyway. I’ve never gone after anyone for expressing legitimate concerns in a respectful manner. Haven’t you noticed I’ve only ever gone after the trolls, those who make excessive demands, and ungrateful whiners?

  • Thanks for the PSP Games Morgan. Keep them coming. Hitman looks cool. The rest of the games are a little week. But I will give them a shot.

  • Man… I Thought Mafia II, Spec Ops & NFS is going to be on the List oh well.. At least i got Hitman Absolution for my HDD Tomorrow. :)
And i wonder if PS+ Should Release GTA IV or any Rockstar Title for September’s update because i was hoping i can play that game on my HDD before GTA V Comes Out.

  • I am willing to bet that they actively avoid giving games people ask for, so that people buy them and give the less named games, which probably are the less selled too. So if you want a game dont name it here cuz they will avoid giving it.

  • @507, pheenix, how long have you been a participant? Because it’s always been a place where people complain about complainers. Only, since Plus got the big promotion last E3, we had a huge influx of gamers who have an unrealistic expectation and are very rude about expressing that.

You know like at Disneyland, the one fat kid complains all day long? And you feel like punching him because he’s ruining everyone’s fun? That’s what happens here.

I’m not in love with the monthly content either, but I agree more with Primero than the people he’s talking about. If people didn’t sound like the fat kid at Disneyland, we might all have more sympathy.

  • No love for Runner 2? Bought on steam.. great game

Will likely pick up the original rayman! And Dragon’s crown launches tomorrow.. Things are heating up for the vita :)

  • PrimeroIncognito

    LOL!

You ask to me to use (or learn it) in dictionary to the meaning of “appreciative”, And YOU call ALL PSVita owners who only gets LIES during all marketing, all promises, are …”babies”???

    LOL

Thank you! I´m “appreciating” your humble help!

    LOL

I´m not against nobody, but you are wrong!… Go and see ALL NEWS AROUND THE WORLD ABOUT PSVITA!

And all shows bad news for PSVita situation!… I Appreciated ALL SONY PROMISES!… And I´m one of the THOUNSANDS “crybabies” who WANTS the ACCOMPLISHED PROMISES!

    =================

Here is a Forum! And the point, after this Update, one more time proves The PSVita need more attention!

Attention means = PS VITA EXCLUSIVE GAMES!

  • Less than 3/5 and they ignore when subscribers complain about. We return to August 2012 when they ignore everyone and give us bad games.
This month even the Live is better than Usa’s Plus.

  • Please no more psp fighting games! And seriously another pinball game? It’s pinball how different can they be.

Why machinarium again? You gave it to us on ps3 a month ago, if we wanted to play it we would of by now

Is it too much to ask for a vita retail game? Europe gets so many and I can’t even remember the last time we got one. I don’t care how bad it is, it would make a change from indie sidescrollers

  • And Sony, just to add,

You should REALLY consider adding Untold Legends 1 and 2 as PSP games to the Vita IGC. First of all they are both AMAZING isometric aRPGs. Almost as good as Champions of Norrath or Baulder’s:Dark Alliance. Maybe just as good…..which can NOT be said for that unbelievably horrible PS3 launch Untold Legends. They would really scratch a Vita gamers itch for this type of game which has no good representation on Vita as yet.

And most importantly from a Sony perspective……..YOU OWN IT!!!! It’s a Sony game so it wouldn’t cost Sony a dime to give away. I honestly bought both Untold Legends for PSP the day they came out on UMD, but I’d REALLY love to have them on my Vita, but to be frank I’m not willing to buy them again.

Something for Sony and the Plus team to consider anyway.

  • Looking forward to Hitman and bit trip runner but I think we have enough Pinball games already. What I would like to see is some more psone and also ps2 classics coming to the IGC. Other than that thank you for a great month.

  • Well this is cool now I can trade in a physical copy of Hitman trilogy & get a physical copy of a game. I always wanted Star wars pinball & now I get it for free!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ hazelcabug

You never answered my questions at #500. Probably ignored them on purpose because you have no answer, actually.

    1. Why can’t you handle 97 cents per week? You’re not homeless. You have things. You own a Vita, right?

    2. Why can’t you just buy the games you want? And just accept Plus as a nice little bonus on the side that may or may not serve you a few gems here and there, all the while delivering constant access to precious cloud storage?

    3. Why don’t you just turn off automatic renewal if you don’t like the service and move on with your life?

    4. Why does Plus “suck” just because it doesn’t give you the EXACT games on your own personal wishlist? Don’t you realize that makes YOU look like the greedy and selfish one?

They do listen and, yes, they are a corporation. I.E. they think like businessmen, not gamers.

I wouldn’t exactly say they are directionless, but they often make typo’s and other mistakes that are corrected by people like us.

Anyway, all options should be shared here as long as they are civil.

  • @521

Like you have guessed, Not for a long time, But god this complaining is annoying
I agree with none of them, I just want them to stop instead of spamming the whole blog with complaints, Those people stupidity makes me want to flip a table

  • @476 drags_ – The real shame here is that BlazBlue (PSV) and Darkstalkers (PSP) are both fighting games that catch my eye, but even eye’m soured toward them because their niche has been covered to death between both cuts of the IGC. There’s so much more to the PSP’s library — a rather strong library, I think — but it’s being disserviced by being the next victim of the fighter overload.

  • @531, “flip a table”….lol.

  • 1. Oh hey, another pinball game… I wonder if this one will actually work. And if it doesn’t, why don’t you just keep it on the IGC forever and ignore it.

    2. ANOTHER PSP/Vita fighting game too? Awesome. Nothing I love more than playing a fighting game by myself. I do actually like fighters, but I hate them on portables. If it doesn’t have local multiplayer, it ain’t no fun.

    3. First it was Jet Set Radio… again. Now it’s Machinarium… again. I get it, not everyone has both PS3 and Vita, but its rather annoying to the lot that do.

    4. BitTrip games, oh yay. It’s like being magically wisked away to my childhood of Atari games. Back when we’d play E.T. constantly despite knowing it was terrible. Ok, I don’t actually hate BitTrip games, but they should already be freeware in the first place.

and finally, Hitman… ok, I have nothing legitly bad to say about that, but I do already own it, so I’m not particularly happy, selfishly.

  • Exactly, Lisa!

These fools need to learn that I wouldn’t say anything at all if they would just show a little respect. That’s all it would take to shut me up. I’d probably make no more than 5 posts a month here, mostly just expressing a point of view on a game (rather than my usual social commentary) if it weren’t for all the whiners here. They brought it on themselves, and then they have the nerve to pull the victim card. As if I’m the bully… hell, I’m the guy who always stood up to the bullies.

  • Wow check out ll the games EU gets on sale for their summer blast sure wish we had something like that

  • As I said 100’s of comments ago, I think the Plus system is great and I love that they release PSP games as there are many that haven’t been enjoyed by others yet. IN the long run, the occasional month that doesn’t meet my needs usually is balanced by the free games in other months OR outstanding deals. I mean, I got Walking Dead full season for $7. That’s crazy.

That being said, I just don’t understand why they release SO MANY FPS and fighters and NO RPG’s. People have been clamoring for RPG’s. It’s not a balanced distribution to cater to a variety of tastes. I don’t hate FPS, but as a family man with kids my time is limited with M rated games I can play since I can only play them after kids are in bed.

Those complaints aside, Plus is an incredible deal.

  • Didn’t you deciders see all the bloody posts saying that they’d like a break from Fighters????

Give us an RPG! Tactical, Active, Strategic, Turn Based, whatever. There are sooooo friggin many on the PSP, I don’t even care, but seriously, you give us a Darkstalkers game and the vita version of Machinarium?
It’s not even a burn against Darkstalkers, it’s a great series and somewhat underrated in the last decade, but this is silly, The only fighter I kept installed is Soul Calibur, what’s the to keep this one on my card?

And I don’t like to compare to EU, but they’re getting an actual Vita Game.

    /bleh

That said, Thank you for Bittrip Runner 2 and Hitman, they are definitely games I’m looking forward to. Nice PS3 choices.

  • never know why rayman legends is always more expensive on the vita vs the ps3.
well, at least the price is unbeatable now

  • Primero, I think you’re having a positive effect because the chronic jerks have been a little more acceptable the last couple days. And true to your character, you haven’t derided “them”.

We’ll see. Hard for fat kids @ Disneyland to stay upbeat.

  • Lol im not sure if he is the Blog Police or works for sony. Smfhh… anyways supp with the ps2 classics we been getting. never hurd of most of them.

  • Sweet, looking forward to contracts multiplayer mode and single player in Hitman: Absolution. Can we get some JRPG love on the vita or PS3 time soon?

  • As always, the big game of the month is an M rated title that I wouldn’t want my kids playing until they are significantly older. I sure wish more of the big retail titles included in the collection were E, E-10, or teen rated. It seems like the more family friendly titles are almost always the smaller or PSN titles, not the big retail releases. The one exception is when the long-term titles are updated in the summer. It be nice if 1 in 3 of the big retail releases included in the collection wasn’t M rated.

  • I would of liked Bit Trip to be on the Vita personally…it just seems like a great Vita game.

  • Morgan is such a terrible person. Sony should fire him or move him elsewhere! Bring Chris Howe to manage the US PS+ Content.
Look at Chris Howe’s work https://blog.eu.playstation.com/tag/playstation-plus/
He does a great job, European players are always happy and pleased with every monthly PS+ Update for Europe. Morgan only make players angry by giving games 99% of the players already own like Battlefield and other shooting games…

    This month Europe is getting
31st July: Need for Speed: Most Wanted
    31st July: Mafia 2
31st July: Spec Ops: The Line
31st July: Lego Lord of the Rings
    31st July: When Vikings Attack!

    Last month they got:
    Leaving PS Plus in July/August:

    31st July: Battlefield 3
    31st July: Catherine
    31st July: Malicious
31st July: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus
    31st July: Unit 13

  • Horribllllllle Month… 2 in a row………..

Hitman: Absolution (PS3) == average game 20 hours to plat.
Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball (PS3) == Pinball …. Again ?!!!…. not my cup of tea
Bit.Trip Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien (PS3) == i will discover the game….hope it will be great as the review say…
Machinarium (PS Vita) : already bought 2,5$ the ps3 version… which was FREE few weeks after….
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (PS Vita, Compatible with PS Vita) = How many times we say we DONT want PSP game WITHOUT TROPHY… + A FIGHTING GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lineup in Europe is just totally great… put 10$ more in the yearly price… and put the same game

    EUROPE KILL NA………………

If i could change the region i would….

  • Wow. I don’t usually post, but the free games and perks for PS+ members for the month of August is complete and utter trash. You guys should look at Europe’s PS+ for direction because you all clearly lack one. I am highly disappointed.

  • It amazes me how most of the people who complain about Plus keep paying for it. Actions speak louder. They must actually LIKE Plus. The complaining might just be their uncreative (as well as selfish; embarrasing) way to get the games they want to play without having to pay full retail price for them… hmm… that’s quite cheap. And yet they call Sony cheap and greedy. It’s the other way around. If you want everything for free (or even heavily discounted), YOU are the cheap and greedy one.

If you want something, just buy it. Your incessant whining isn’t just bad for this blog, it’s embarrassing for all of humanity in general. I can’t believe the way some of you act. It’s absolutely appalling.

Anyway, I’m outta here now. I’ve got things to do.

P.S. – SpooNManX – I agree with everything you just said. Yes, civil. That’s all I was looking for. It’s the tactless crybaby approach that irritates me, not the respectful legitimate criticism. We all can correct each other and learn from our mistakes. By the way, I appreciate your contributions to the Pinball Arcade forum. I don’t post there, I only lurk. But dude, Central Park wizard goals are EASY! Hee hee… :)

    Later.

  • I’d kill for Mass Effect 1 being a upcoming PS+ title soon. I never played the first one, but would love for the chance for myself and others to be able to experience the first chapter in vibrant and living universe Bioware created. It is truly a sci-fi rpg opus. I also suggest a DLC sale for Mass Effect 2 and 3! Personally, I have all of them already, but everyone should have the opportunity to experience the Citadel and Omega DLC. The from the Ashes DLC should have been in the game in my opinion.

  • The worth month ever in ps plus nothing this month for me really really MORGAN !!!
