I hope you’re ready for Soul Sacrifice — the demo will be available this afternoon on PSN!
Your first reaction to the demo might be, “Holy moly, this is a LOT of demo!” …And you’d be right! The entire first chapter of the full game is included, all of which is playable with up to three other friends via online or ad-hoc multiplayer. Inafune-san made it a special point for the demo to be quite substantial, as you can read in his comments below:
Soul Sacrifice is a long adventure, with dozens of hours of gameplay. The demo is not only a great way to sample the full experience, but also to let you get a head start on that adventure before the game releases. To that end — this part is important, pay attention! — the save data will carry over to the full game! Not only that, if you do carry over demo save data to the full game, you will receive an exclusive bonus item: “Spirits’ Heart”! It summons a powerful stone golem that will fight for you!
Trying the demo and carrying over your save data is the ONLY way to get “Spirits’ Heart,” so why not give it a shot if you’re already interested in the game?
The Soul Sacrifice demo offers a single player mode AND a multi-player mode. Multi-player can be played via both ad-hoc and online, but please be aware that multi-player and all online features for the demo will be terminated and will no longer be available on April 30th, 2013. After this date, you will still be able to play the demo offline and ad-hoc. Of course, that’s not a problem, since you’ll all be picking up the full game when it launches on April 30th, right? *wink*
Don’t forget to pre-order! Not only do you get three exclusive Magic Offerings and two exclusive costumes, but you’ll also get the Japanese voice-over audio pack for free!

This is great news indeed :) For those who are waiting, maybe it’s best to follow them in twitter, they practically update there live… so you’d know when the demo is up.
I wish they put up a exact time instead of a vague “this afternoon.” But then… I’m not really complaining just excited :D

@afigueroa – I know, right? XD I’ve been waiting for this game since i pre-ordered. It was my main reason why I bought my VITA in the first place :3 Of course, they had also other good games but this was my #1 reason.
I don’t regret it, I love my VITA. XD
Another prof os Sony’s incompetance… They can’t bring their patch to the due date
almost 7pm,quarter till 7. no update. i work a very early first shift job, so i get to bed about now, or 8 if im busy. i hardly ever see a tuesday update. might as well call it a wednesday update and then on the off chance it happens during normal hours tuesday we will all be in shock and excited. versus every tuesday anxiously waiting, checking and always being letdown.

but you suck at time management. its honestly pathetic. any excuses? feedback would lessen the frustration. silence to customer questions, only responding to piddly nothings…is upsetting.
It’s still afternoon in California where they’re located. I don’t see why everyone is upset. They usually update the store at 6 PM the latest. Possible two hours to go.
chances are high i would likely need to free up space to download this…a file size confirmation would of been sweet…and the servers are gonna be crazy trying to download it..

@Brandon1491 its likely a perm. ive played the demo in Jap psn and its a golem that summons from the ground and hulk smashs stuff and causes aggro it can break tho and require repair ingame :) hope that helped

Like some others on here, I too have played the Japanese demo. I know the game well and can beat the bosses rather quickly. Looking for others that need vista friends and want to play this A LOT. Just send me a request with Soul Sacrifice in the subject line. And to those that are still on the fence about getting this game, it is epic! Have been playing it for 2 weeks now.

Honestly. Don’t tweet about “Grabbing the demo today” if it isn’t already available. You got all my and my friend’s hopes up and we’re still just sitting here twiddling our thumbs. Get it together Sony.
