Closure (PS3)

Closure is a unique and stylistic puzzle platformer that takes the concept of light and shadow and twists it up into something never before seen. In Closure’s dark and foreboding universe, the only things that exist are what you can see. An object properly lit up is physically there, yet an object shrouded in darkness ceases to be. Experience this mind-bending puzzler free as a Plus member.

  • Morgan: so what’s the word about getting a monthly update for Plus. We voted on wanting it months ago so why hasn’t it happened yet? Can we please get an answer on this. Thanks

  • closure looks fun but otherwise…another garbage update…nothing for me for another week T-T

  • Oh and one more than Morgan, I saw you mention your Twitter name on one comment earlier, could you please tell your Twitter username so I can follow you? :D

  • I very nearly pulled the trigger on Closure a few weeks ago when there was a decent sale on it – but I didn’t. Couldn’t be happier now! My 13-year-old daughter loved the demo (and keeps downloading it again and again, even after I delete it for space), and has been pestering me for it, so that will be nice.

A couple years ago that same girl wanted Critter Crunch and got it for a birthday – not a bad game, but she never did go all that far in it, and it fell off our radar a bit. The style and humor is top notch, though, and I toyed with getting back into it again some day…after I’ve played some of the 13 for 13 I picked up a while ago!

  • Morgan, 346’s question lies in post 303, though I can’t really decipher the whole meaning. His second post is just a rant of questions he asked in the past that you didn’t specifically answer for him..

  • Iv gotta check out that Closure.

  • Yeah, What? Not even giving this a try I can see by the first 5 secs of the trial I’m not interested. I have no faith in this service. Should of read some reviews. Oh well. Mabye pick it up a bit?

  • does anyone know how i can i subscribe to EU PS+?

  • REALLY MORGAN HOW BIASED IS THAT? PRIMO INSULTED HOW MANY PEOPLE’S PSN NAME ALONE FOR HOW MANY MONTHS?

    • easy with the all caps bud. if I see him/her, or anyone else attacking others on the blog from here on, I’ll work with moderation to ease them up.

  • Blah nothing here. I wish we’ed get bigger and better games like Europe does

  • Closure… Yep, yet ANOTHER game that you could have bought basically free if you wanted to from humble bundle #7 back in December. That’s probably the 10th game in recent months that have all been in previous humble bundles, that\s NOT what I call value Sony!!!

I would happily renew my Plus sub if we got even close to the content the EU region is getting, but for my money my plus sub is worth next to nothing lately.

  • Morgan who is your boss? Is there any way we can contact them either by phone or email? I would like to give them some feedback on US Plus service.

  • @DonkeyKongKilla

Lol I know right, Primo is the biggest troll on this blog, comes here every week to write 50+ comments that do nothing but insult other commenters, yet he doesn’t get so much as a warning and is allowed to keep doing it just because he is defending US Plus. I think it’s plain to see what is really going on here…

  • At DKK,

why bring up Primo? He has not commented ONCE in this thread. Sab on the other hand….wow, some people just have way too much time on their hands.

PrimoIncognito while some may find him irritating, he is nowhere near the same level as sab was. He was just going off on anyone he didnt agree with and calling them names all day today, at least Primo offers something to the discussion and doesn’t go off randomly calling other people names for no good reason. Can he carry himself a little better when a kid doesnt understand what he’s saying? Yes of course, but cmon, don’t for a second think he’s on the same level or any worse than sab_krit was, that guy was a total pest to anyone he wanted to bother.

There’s no favoritism going on here, just one person causing a disturbance for the whole community, I don’t see that with PrimoIncognito.

In terms of sab_krit though, Good Riddance.

  • @drGiggless exactly can’t ignore it when clearly favoritism is being played

  • Wow, glad that dude sab finally got what was coming. Not sure what his problem was, but thanks Morgan, his act was getting really old.

  • @TitleOne – really? one thread he might haven’t even gotten to yet and yeah he has came to this late before but you don’t call it favoritism?

Morgan – “To all: personal insults”

Hmmm he insulted my psn name at least 15 times yet no warnings?

  • Another very disappointing PS Plus update!

  • Can i get an answer on my comment #141

  • Morgan~

  • Looks like a game I’ll want to try, the trailer looked pretty cool on YouTube.

Also thanks too Morgan, That guy sab_krit just went off on me for no good reason a while back ago, it was really uncalled for. I ignored him and he would still try to rattle me even when I was commenting and not even talking to him.

Thanks for taking a stand on people like that.

Oh great, looks like there’s going to be some conspiracy nuts here now, “They are only banning those that don’t like PS+!!! Censorship!!!! ” Ummm, no. Act like a jerk nonstop like this guy and you’ll get the same too.

  • Well Thanks Morgan It’s about time. I’m just a little upset how this person was attacked for doing something someone else has raged on others for months at a time.

Stepping it up, I like that. Kudos

  • @ DKK,

Im not going to deny he hasnt thrown an insult to someone (I have seen a lot more insults come his way), but he was nowhere near the same as sab.

Looks like they are going to be more lenient towards name calling and unprovoked personal attacks, and we’ll see how it plays out from here next time ANYONE does that sort of thing.

I would also suggest they get rid of those comments that are just like, “this a trash update” or “its crap, nobody wants this.”

I mean its one thing if you don’t like it, but I loathe those type of moronic comments, it offers nothing to the discussion. Is it too hard to say, “I don’ like this game, so I won’t get it.”?

  • @ Giggles,

let us know what canned generic e-mail response you get, k slugger?

LOL, so funny how you think they are suppressing anyone that is not happy with PS+ Take a look at the comments, do you seriously believe that? Wow, talk about denial.

Sorry you are so upset that a troll was banned.

  • This is exactly why I purchased Playstation Plus. I purchased it for the quirky games that I wouldn’t buy on my own unless it had a disc with it. And I get to experience these game for a fraction of what they would have cost.
I enjoy the full PS3 game as well, but I prefer games I can’t get at a game store or pawn shop. I could buy these games off of PSN, but it seems a bit high for something you can never resell.

Enjoying this PSN-only game for a few bucks a month is value to me. Everyone is different, but at least I don’t expect steak when I buy a hamburger.

    Keep up the good work.

  • meant less lenient*

  • I am practically giddy with excitement! Closure is one of those games that I found intriguing but have always been preoccupied with the allure of other titles. I am also a huge fan of old school style falling puzzle games ( Tetris, dr. Mario, trash panic!) so critter crunch will definitely get a download from me. I am glad to see such a resurgence in the realm of indie/art games in recent years. My interest in gaming as a hobby was really waning in the onslaught of all the hyper-realistic, generic(or in sometimes cropped) gameplay (elder scrolls ! Cough!) being marketed exclusively to mountain dew gamer fuel drinking frat bros. darksiders is atrocious, the main characters head is about the fourth of the size of the smaller of his two hands ( because he’s friggin buff bra!) and the story is laughable and lazy…. ( still it’s not as bad as gears of war) . Shamefully I actually really enjoy darksider’s gameplay and level design, despite how much it offends my senses and intelligence.

  • On a side note, I was overjoyed to find quantum conundrum for free in the store. I had read somewhere that we were supposed to have access to it but I looked and never saw it before. Was this something you guys fixed or was I just overlooking it the whole time?

The game is blowing my mind btw… How can square Enix make something this good( also space invader infinity gene is top notch) and totally and repeatedly drop the ball on final fantasy with unwanted sequals and hollow illusionary “customization”!?!?! I will never find the answer…

  • Great update. Thanks.

  • Well I know it’s not plus problem, but will vita ever be able to use avatar more like ps3?
Or I buy from Web store and get them work in vita? I really want that

  • always wanted to try closure. Am not sure if sound shapes was ever in discount on psn plus but can that be included as well as Okami HD??! I promise i will buy both of them, i got a $20 psn card waiting to be used.

  • Another cooool update! Closure seems really awesome, so I am looking forward to download it.

On another note, I’d LOVE to see some classic PSP games get released for the PS Vita’s Instant Game Collection. Games such as Jeanne d’arc, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, MGS Portable Ops, Resistance, or many of the other great PSP games would be great to get through Plus! Other than that, I’m very happy with the service so far! keep up the great stuff.

  • I find the argument of the ones that defend SCEA too shallow, they claim that we should be thankful for the “free” games, that everyone should stop whining about EU, so I ask myself, are they not aware that they paid $50 for the subscription, and we all subscribed for no other thing than the “free” games, there’s nothing else I barely care for the timed trials or the early betas… and we also did not subscribed for the online because that has always been free for all, so we paid for the games, games that are not free, because they will expire, so I think that there is nothing to thank SONY because that is what they’re selling, and seeing the mediocre updates that we get here in America we should all claim for better games… I think that SCEA don’t try to make it better because they’re seeing that there are a lot of subscribers and the numbers are increasing, what they’re not seeing is that a lot of people (me included) will not renew if things go on like this… there’s no better advertising than happy customers telling all their friends who have a playstation to subscribe because the service is amazing, and is way better that customers telling their friends to not subscribe because it not worth it.

  • As a gaming enthusiast and someone who is drawn in to play station products i am utterly Disappointed in the line up, What happened?, Ill still take a shot at closure though

  • Closure is for babies … thanks for nothing. I will never renew my playstation plus

  • @384 the free game is not the gamers choice its up to the devs to put it out there not sony.. To say eu and usa should be getting the same is not possible.. They have never gotten the same thing.. never, even before ps+ discount program. Eu and usa team always comepted, always had diffrent gaming agendas, diffrent gamer said bases of popularity. Just becuase we pay the same, dont we you will get the same becuase both are regional gaming plans in reality .

Country Regional laws is the reason ands sony does make any laws of the world. Btw we had all those games they have for free before they did and we(us) got the demo or beta and eu didnt not. So alot here in usa dont complain about a free game that we already had before anyone else.

  • See? This is the sort of game that I like to see on PS+. I know, I’m in a minority but I rent most of my retail games thru gamefly. I liked the way that PS+ used to be before the Instant Game Collection. But as I said, I know that is just me.

  • @TitleOne:

    “At DKK,

    why bring up Primo?”

Because it seems that Morgan is finally willing to do something about the trolls on this site and whether you agree or not, Primero is definitely one of the worst offenders. I don’t see why you would want to defend him

  • Oh god, another PSN game. At least its a good one, right? Yeah…

  • WEAK SAUCE!!!! Another terrible week. I’m about ready to cancel my subscription if we keep getting terrible games.

  • @387 Thanks for the info, but what I try to say is that the whole contents should be better it doesn’t need to be the same just as good as EU (lots of people claiming for PS1 and PSP games) to be capable to compete with other regions and keep/atract new customers and as I said before the majority of the people come for the games, even thou they’re good people prefers better games than early demos or betas.

    Thanks again for the info.

  • *Sigh*… i was really expecting something for the vita this week… Not that i’m expecting a retail vita game every week, but i thought that when vita went plus it would be a vita/psp game plus a ps3/psn game every week u_u

In the end, it just seems that IGC for vita wasn’t added to the existing IGC for PS3, but it’s just replacing some weeks-a-month worth of PS3 updates.

  • Sleeping Dogs for free would be sick. What about Dragon’s Dogma?

  • Wasn’t there already a sale on NHL 13 before? I feel like they’re trying to cram this stupid sports game down our throats, it’s on sale, oh it’s on sale again, BUY IT OR WE’LL KEEP PUTTING IT ON SALE!!

Also, AGAIN, EU is far superior to NA. F1 Race Stars AND Sleeping Dogs, and we’ve gotten…..Middle Earth and now Closure…….. *sigh* Not to mention, their discounts on DLC for sleeping dogs!! The one and ONLY time that happened with a free game for us was Borderlands if memory serves correctly.

So like I constantly say each month, we’re not living in a world where people are ignorant of what’s happening in other countries anymore here. People KNOW what EU is getting, they know it’s superior, you have people in the US opting to buy EU PSN cards and making EU accounts in order to buy the Plus option from ANOTHER country.

And, I know it doesn’t matter as much, but people in Canada are doing it as well. And yes, I live in Canada, and yes, I’m seriously contemplating doing the same thing, why wouldn’t I?

It’s bad enough you’ve taken, what, four months to get around to finally deciding maybe you’ll get around to doing MONTHLY updates finally?

  • Last ps+ update was better, but this one seems OK… But don’t make me regret renewing my ps+ early, please?

  • A good update this week, I passed on Closure and I’m looking forward to playing it. Not very excited about the PS Plus sales for this week, would be awesome if there were some sales for PS Vita games.

  • I hope that PS Plus will eventually get some marketing support and please add the functionality to upgrade a secondary account to a master account along with automatically uploading cloud saves for PS Vita games.

  • Just renewed myself (well my brother did on his account anyway) so that’s 15 more months. I’ll never be amazed at all the stuff we get for only $50.

Make sure to thank the team for the free extra 3 months!

  • meant, I’ll never stop being amazed.

Man, I need a cup of coffee :P

  • @DigitalReveller Closure came out as a Flash game and was under development as a full release a year before Limbo was released. Do some research br0.
