December sees yet another awesome addition to LittleBigPlanet 2 — the Cross-Controller Pack — making LittleBigPlanet 2 the first game to support this exciting new feature!
But what is Cross-Controller? Well, Cross-Controller lets you to use PS Vita as a controller for PlayStation 3, allowing the use of PS Vita-only features, like front and rear touch, in PlayStation 3 games. More importantly, it provides a whole second screen where action can take place! This allows for an unimaginable number of new ways to play, some of which you’ll experience with the LittleBigPlanet 2 Cross-Controller Pack!
In the LittleBigPlanet 2: Cross-Controller Pack, Sackboy joins up with a group of lovable Space Pirates as they race to find a valuable treasure long thought lost to the Cosmos. On their adventure they’ll encounter new obstacles that can only be overcome with the help of PS Vita’s unique features.
As well as a new adventure for Sackboy to take part in, players can get their hands on a suite of new tools that let them create Cross-Controller levels for the community to play.
The LittleBigPlanet 2: Cross-Controller Pack will be available via download on PSN Tuesday, December 18th for $4.99, and requires a PlayStation 3, a copy of LittleBigPlanet 2 and a PS Vita.

Awesome stuff, unfortunately I do not yet have LBP Vita, but will be looking to get it in the near future.
This…probably would have been more impressive if the Wii U hadn’t already launched. Even then, had we seen that Arkham City Armored Edition trailer yet by the time Vita released?
Regardless, I like the idea of a home console DS (and with the PS3’s capabilities, a home console 3DS), so I hope to see more come of it from both companies. I need a rhythm game using this stuff, guys! Maybe I should boot EBA or TFF back up…

We’ve seen cross controller before this, it was just done differently.
And Yevon, it makes me sad that so many people in the PS community are so challenged. It’s not hard to understand that this is DLC for LBP2, that uses the PS Vita for unique gameplay you can’t have without the Vita features.
Not hard to realize this has nothing at all to do with LBP Vita either.

Can I play on the Vita and more 3 friends play on the dualshock in one cooperative match?

@Undrey what about the question really? it’d still count as a download on your other account but you can still receive trophies if you play on your main account.
here’s a question …. I bought my son a Vita for Christmas, as he was always using mine – will it be possible for both of us to use Vitas to play at the same time ? it sounds like the Vita player will have the most dynamic experience with the additional features the Vita offers …. can we leave the dual shocks & just both play from the Vitas ? fun fun ….
also, is there any future possibility that LBP K will come to the Vita ? I really love the game & think it would be a perfect addition to the Vita line up … *crosses fingers*
Will the cross-control feature be free? Is it induvidual DLC, or do we have to but it with a level pack?

Please ,please ,please….can you do something about all the hacking on MW2?I believe I´m speaking in behalf of thousands of pleople who still enjoy playing the game online the way it´s supposed to be , no hacks and no advantages other than the perks you choose!!!It could be our Christmas present ; ) P.S. If you want PS Network ids they can be provided they To whomsoever it may concern I thank you in advance for updating the software or whatever it needs to be done to end this huge inconvenience which is taking the fun out of the game Big Time!!!
You just sold me a PS Vita…if I don’t get one for X-Mas :D Loved LBP/LBP 2 and this just gives me another reason to play. Looking forward to whatever other games take advantage of this function in the future.

wow this is really great new i have been a big fan about littlebigplanet ever since the first game i think all cross plays should be free considering i have lbpvita and littlebigplanet 1 and 2 and a additional 4.99 for cross play well i might find a solution for that but i think cross play feature should be free well is it i just rushed through the comments
Question, will there be any uses to LBP Vita? Or is it just, install LBP2 /Cross-controller data to the Vita and all good to go?
During the demos of the gameplay, you can also use the Vitas OLED screen as the platformer, no different than LBP Vita.
Is that all installed data?

Had a Vita since release, never had a ps3. When they released ps plus on Vita i got it and a ps3 after. Cant waiiiiittttttttttttttttttttt.
A few questions.
1. Will PlayStation Vita be able to replace a Dualshock? in other words, will PSVita be able to be used as Player 2 Sackboy? and will what displays on the TV screen also display on the PSVita screen?
2. Will there be able to be four Sackboys (players) and a fifth person using the PlayStation Vita for PSVita specific features?
3. Is the multiplayer (co-op and competitive of course) for this offline and online?
4. Why isn’t this also available on LBP1?

sry guys, but i didn’t understand something: what about who hasn’t got a ps vita, we’ll we be able to use the new tools in lbp2 and play the new lvls?
Do you need a ps vita to play or dos the vita only allow access to otherwise restricted parts of the level to get prizes? And also can you use a regular psp or do you need the vita because i do not own a ps vita only a psp.
