  • For what it’s worth, I would appreciate this sale a lot more if you were simply discounting the game to actual tempting prices. Like when you made Dead Space 2 $10. And then put the DLC on sale separately. None of these sales are tempting to me as they are. I would probably impulse buy a couple of them if they were $10. And if you sold the DLC on sale separately then you would get the money of people that already own the game as well. The prices in this sale look like they should simply be the new updated permanent prices.

  • This is laughable!!! You guys at Sony need to seriously think about having a real sale!!! If any plus member who is thinking about buying anything in this list just remember how many times in the past they put things on sale ( not a real sale) just to have it show up in a month or two for free in the instant game collection. Thanks for the joke of a sale Sony, I needed a good laugh today!!!!

  • QUEEEEEEEEEEEESTION
I Preordered Playstation All-Stars yesterday, but it didn’t come out till today. Am i still eligible?

  • @ ProfessorAnatil: Normally I don’t comment on ongoing discussions, but I feel I can bring in a point that you seem to be missing. These Ultimate Edition deals are being presented as really great deals because of the percentage discount off of the total value. If they miscalculate the total value, then the discounted price is not as large a percentage, which actually makes the claim of “up to 66%/73% off” false advertising. There’s no way around that. It’s a fact.
The only huge discount that people aren’t complaining about is Warhammer, and that comes out to a 63%/70% discount off their alleged total value. But if the prices for RF:A and Homefront really are off $10 and $20, then WH40K is the only discount that’s over 55%. Everything else is only about 45% off for PS+. (I didn’t bother checking all the standard sale prices, but most were about 6-8% less of a discount.)
While these are great deals on the digital content, many others have pointed out that these prices are still terrible compared to retail. Add to that the fact that the math is blatantly off on several of the prices, and it makes the claim of savings seem deceptive. Not really a good thing for Sony right now.

  • when exactly will the store update?

  • Man, AC revelations is still really expensive after being out all this time. It wasn’t even judged as a great game in the franchise, so I wonder why the price is so fixed?

  • dammit i spent 60$ yesterday at 11pm to preorder all stars i dont get the voucher right??

  • LOL the NZ PSN store had Deux Ex complete for sale a few months ago for just $20usd. You’re right about the “insane prices” though, you’d have to be insane to spend that much money on old games that are worth less than HALF as much in store. Go home SCEA.

  • Ive been waiting all week for this since hearing it on the blog. then i saw the game list. not a single game i wanta play. was hoping for at least one rpg. oh well good deals for people who want these games. (ps. mass effect is a shooter not an rpg )

  • So, let me get this straight. The Alice: Madness Returns Ultimate Edition is $19.99. If so, I might buy it!

  • Awesome deals, and I understand the rebate is mainly for the deluxe game stuff, but nice job screwing over those who pre-ordered All Stars last week! And my buddy stil hasn’t received his $20 rebate for spending $100 from last month -_–

  • When is the store updating for the free games for Vita ?

  • A lot of these games should already cost less than this without a sale. I can get physical copies cheaper than this. Anyone who thinks these prices are a great deal are fools.

  • And before someone tries to debunk me by mentioning the inclusion of DLC; Yes I’ve taken that into account and buying physical is still cheaper.

  • PSN usually has a lot of good sales, but this isn’t one of them. I was expecting something big for Black Friday, and these just aren’t that good prices. Everybody is saying Mass Effect trilogy is coming out next month, don’t forget the Assassins Creed Ezio series is coming too. Really lame choices.

I wish we got the Playstation Allstars sale like Europe did.

  • I wanna get all of these aside from Warhammer, Homefront, and Red Faction. Those three I don’t care for. The rest I am gonna get. BUT ME2 Ultimate Edition. BEAST!

  • HOPEEEE this aint the black friday sale, if so then its wackk. i want some dirt cheap psn games not full games thats 20 + … guess only time will tell.

  • i mean not full RETAIL games that il prefer on Disc

  • sigh….its 6:10pm here and not another article posted about a REAL sale on games. This is so lame. Did you guys really think overpriced Ultimate Collections could compete with black friday sales at retail (or even Amazon)?

  • Please Lord dont let this be the black friday sale.

  • I preordered All Stars last night at 8pm, and then downloaded it at 10pm. Will the money spent go towards the $10 promotion?

Is the promotion from 12:01am EST on the 20th to 11:59pm EST on the 26th?

  • when will black ops 2 be available to download from psn store????????

  • Hey everyone the vita store is updated already! Downloading the free games now. As for PS3 and this sale will pick up Alice for sure, was hoping Alice was going to be on sale digitally when the blogcast hinted at a sale. I feel so psychic lol. Two games that look to have a action RPG gameplay style for $15, can’t wait.

  • From moments ago I am a proud new PS Plus member on PS Vita :) This month is awesome keep up the great work!!!

  • That new-ish Red Faction game is a steal for the amount of entertainment it provided me when I bought it brand new.

  • If I buy something on Playstation Mobile will count toward the US$60 deal?

  • You say that Alice: Madness Returns Ultimate Edition includes “all DLC”, but from the Store description it doesn’t sound like it includes the original American McGee’s Alice, which is listed as an Add On for the game on the Store for $9.99. Is that not included?

  • You can get all this on the superior physical version for less. Only a fool would buy into this.

  • I must say this is beast mode!!!!!!!!!!

  • I spent $ 49.99 with a renewal of PSN +. If tomorrow I spend over $ 20, receive $ 10 in December?

  • There really need to be more DLC deals. We get all these PSN game promos. We get Ultimate Edition promos. We get pre-order promos. I can’t remember a big DLC sale. I know every once in a while DLC goes on sale, but it never gets a big push.

I’d buy DX:HR’s missing link, but there is no way I’m paying $15 when the full game is going for $15 new on Amazon right now. I’d buy Mass Effect DLC. I’d buy Arkham City DLC.

Hell, I waited YEARS to get MotorStorm: Pacific Rift’s DLC for less than the outrageous $20 asking price, and you’ve lost out on that, since I’m not buying content for a game that has since had it’s servers shut down. I waited to get a deal on the Fallout 3 DLC as well. Instead I just bought the Game of the Year Edition for $10 used at GameStop. I think those DLC packs are still going for $10 each on PSN. It’s ridiculous how out of whack DLC is with base game pricing.

  • :) thanks

  • Okay, this just ticked me off. I purchased Alice: Madness Returns assuming the original American McGee’s Alice would be included yet what do I find out when I start to play it? It’s NOT included. PSN called it the “Ultimate Edition” and stated with all DLC the Total Value of the Game would be “Paid & Free): $31.97” and since you need Alice: Madness Returns to play the original American McGee’s Alice it is DLC. Alice Madness is 17$ at most retail places. Buying the Alice Madness from the PSN makes it a brand new copy and every brand new copy comes with a free voucher to receive the original American McGee’s Alice why is it not included!?

  • What the heck? All M rated games? Thanks for a little variety. So much for getting something me and the kids can play.

  • If we still have the $20 in our wallets from October, can that be used toward the $60 we have to spend in the next 2 weeks (meaning we’d only actually be spending $40)?

  • Hi, I need some help. I downloaded WH40k: Space Marine when it was offered as a free game from PS+, but now considering the awesome deal here, I decided it to buy the Ultimate Edition. So I download it, but the games still have time limit, how can I fix this?

    Thx for your time

  • Hey Kristine,
I still haven’t recieved the 20 dollars from the promotion in october. I just wanted to know when we will recieve that, I spent 105 dollars, thanks.

  • @ViralDoll I hope you get this answered, I’m ready to finally pull the trigger on purchasing this game, but this is a deal breaker.

  • Thanks LooTekiLi I hope so too. I sent Playstation a message last night about this issue. I asked them why it wasn’t included when in their own wording it made it sound that American McGee’s Alice would be automatically included with this Alice: Madness Returns “Ultimate Bundle” Hopefully they can fix this issue because it makes absolutely no sense for this “Ultimate Bundle” to not include everything. When their own wording made it sound it would.

  • ?Some one help with the slow downloading of movies and please give us rewards for trophies.?

  • I have to agree with Satnamji. It seems like a great deal, and I hate to sound like some bitter gamer turning up his nose at substantial discounts…. but last time there were a bunch of Ultimates I scooped up about 5-6 of them, spending around $250. A week later, almost all of those games were then offered for free. It felt like a slap in the face, and it’s not like the powers that be at Sony didn’t know the games were going up for free the very next week. So it revealed itself for what it was– a cash grab at those who would jump at it right before the games went into the PSN free library launch; making a last few bucks where they could before the games went free-to-play. If those games were going into the free rotating library, there should have been other, different games offered as Ultimate packages. From now on I’ll be waiting a lot longer for the prices to come down even more.

I still think PSN is a great deal; but there’s no reason to be abusing the customer base like that, and it’s made me very wary and distrustful. I now feel like I have to approach these sales with a very skeptical eye to not be taken advantage of again.

  • the only game on there I would consider is deus ex, but I have seen it as low as $10 new and rather not spend the $25 or w.e AND have it sitting on my HDD which is already tight with the PSN+ games we get.

  • Ah, gee, tempting… I’m saving up for Wii U but…. This is such a good deal. :'(

  • Is there an actual list of the full bundle info for the Alice game I could see before buying? I saw that the PSN lady stated that the orig. Alice game came with the ultimate bundle of Alice Madness Returns, but there is nothing indicating that on the PSN Store…It states only the weapons and dress pack..Happy Thanksgiving all!

  • Alice: Madness Returns only shows up for $19.99 for me, and doesn’t give the Playstation Plus discount :(
I don’t understand why the discount is not working for me, even though I am obviously a Plus member. Would it have anything to do with playing the timed trial before? I noticed some of the games show “unavailable” and at least one of those games I have already downloaded.

  • Ok, a little confused, it states above that ALL DLC and ADD ONS are included with these Ultimate Bundle Games, but..on the PSN Store the original Alice is considered Add On Content
for $9.99 and is NOT included…Which is it please!

  • There´s an error on Alice: Madness Returns. Plus price is set to $15,99 but when I try to buy, the price is $19,99 (I´m a Plus member off course) Please fix it so I can enjoy the Ultimate Deal. Thank´s!

  • I hope at least it cames with the first Alice…

  • *0* Alice Madness Returns Is an amazing game,by selling my psvita (good riddance!) i was able to buy the infamous ps3 blackfriday value pack and i’ll only be opening it on christmas, so will Alice really Go back to being 31$ :/ or will there be some more Insane price droppings for christmas :D By the way i have a 30 day trial for ps+ so is Alice normally cheaper when using ps+, thank you.

  • PSN Price: $19.99 ($15.99 for PlayStation Plus members)

the plus discount does not appear in store??
