  • To my fellow posters:

Please realize that childish complaining and name-calling o nothing to improve things. The PlayStation employees involved here are all very open to new ideas and constructive criticism. After all, this is their job, and they are trying to do it well. They actually do read the comments, as Morgan has demonstrated. If you speak to them and your peers with respect, and don’t act like children, you might get further than if you just complain.

They are people too. Know what happens when you say something insulting? It pisses them off. But then they have to pretend to be nice to you when replying (since this is their job), and that pisses them off even more. These guys are on your side. But you have to understand that they have a HUGE corporation behind them calling the shots, and nothing will move as quickly as you expect it to.

    • this is a good note, but I don’t mind that sometimes you just gotta let it out! It’s ok to be angry and frustrated, as long as it never gets taken out on your fellow gamers (including me! lol) But to be clear, I never get angry or anything (can’t be a good Community Manager if you don’t have thick skin) =) . But what you say about us being on your side is 100% true, couldn’t have said it better myself.

  • @agentGOP

I’ve been told that’s the reason we haven’t and might not ever see Suikoden II, so that’s a possibility. (a technical issue)

  • Is there any news on an update that will improve the remote play compatibility between ps vita and ps3. Any news would be nice Morgan becuase that was a high sellng point of the system and hackers have already accomplished what sony hasnt. That is one thing I want to ask you is why hackers are able to do the things your company promised us when you guys can’t. Honestly if the ps vita isn’t up to par with what SONY said it could do I will stop supporting sony. I love sony but I can not support you guys if you blatantly lie to your customers and so far that is how it seems. I understand there are always issues however updates on promised abilities that aren’t out would be appreciated. And I am not upset with you on this I know you have no power over it im upset with the head of SONY. Also wasnt ps+ supposed to get a better update this week I mean its prety sad and I though this week was when the new stuff would be launched on it. Thank you if you answer this for me.

  • I’m disappointed in the Crunchyroll App, the videos are clearly not HD,

  • Just want to say how awesomely fun that Expendables demo was! Never expected it. A good chunk of gameplay in the demo too.
Kinda like an on-foot Renegade Ops, and the chopper on the bridge was badass.
@ Everyone- give it a shot. I’m going to pick up a PSN card now!

  • I can see why pre-order a product from a store, like GameStop, but why pre-order a game from the PSN Store?

There is no perk for pre-ordering any of the PSN Play 2012 games! I ask this because I WAS going to pre-order shapes and sounds, but I see no reason and decided to wait a week.

  • Too bad about GTA III, I was going to buy that one too. A future release date, huh? If it’s anything like waiting for Sony to enable PS1 support on the Vita, we are going to be waiting a long time, like eons. I’m not holding my breath for this one.

  • Yet another week with exactly nothing of any interest to me. As a normal customer that’s a bit of a letdown, as a long time Plus member it’s a bigger dissapointment.

I use to look forward to the weekly store updates and the less frequent plus update info posts as one of my fav things to see on the internet.

Now I hardly care about the store (since the first/only good Instant game update). I hope Plus has just had an off summer (not many big releases for games during the summer anyway) and goes back to being what it was before – worth the money.

Kinda sad the only thing in the last two months I saw of value was old PSP games on sale via the publisher.

  • Oh but good job on the consistant early updates lately. Even with a terrible updates it’s good to have the information/see what’s out early rather than later.

  • July has never been a good month for video games. I know becouse my B-day is in July and I don’t think any New game has ever came out in July at lest none I would pay full price for. But here in about 2-3 months I will be in heaven. Shopping season is right around the corner.

  • Dear Morgan

Do you know anything about hitman blood money being released on psn.

  • Hi All does anyone know if we getting the Sunday Ticket this season

  • This update is terrible. Firstly, Vita owners get the shaft once again. Vita’s starting to look like PSP Go Redux (also known as PS Move: The Sequel), where Sony charges an outrageous amount of money for promises that they never make good on. Secondly, even the content promised (GTA III) doesn’t show up! If you weren’t sure that you could secure the game, you shouldn’t have said it was coming soon. Bad faith and incompetence are not the way to run a business, and unless Sony realizes this by the time the next console cycle begins, they’re going to lose more of their market share to MS than they did this gen, which, as you well know, was a substantial loss. I can’t help but wonder — how did Sony go from the PS2 to this? How did Sony so utterly and completely lose the plot?

  • excited to try crunchyroll and the expandables demo! i got the preorder demo for transformers a few days ago and i highly recommend that demo- game is gonna rock! wish there was a few more demos and move vita stuff would be awesome- i wish i could get war of the monsters on my vita!

  • That blows on getting GTA3 on PSN as download for PS3. When it does come out i wanted to ask question about the game disc. When GTA3 is out for PSN download will the disc be able to work then for the PS3? I have the game disc for GTA3 so if i put game disc into the PS3 will it allow the PS3 to play the game then?

It would be waste of money to own the game disc if I have to re-buy the game as download then. And it’ll be no point buy any PS2 games for download that won’t work with the disc. All the PS1 game disc I have work for PS3 fine & so I was hoping it does the same thing for PS2 games by having the disc it will work to play then.

Hope i made some sense if you are reading this.

    • No, the PS2 disc would still not work in the PS3. The game would only be executable via the download.

  • Maybe this will finally be answered since this thread tends to get responses.

Why is it that 2/5ths of an imcomplate game is considered 1 of our Instant Games?

Not only is it less than half of a game, it will be a while before the rest of it is out.

So how exactly do you justify filling an Instant Game spot (the games rotated in keep getting worse) with 40% of an UNFINISHED GAME?

Getting a plus discount on it would make sense, but it’s not even half a game.

    • I answered a similar question to yours in the Plus thread, but I think it’s all in the perception. I’ve played both WD games, and they are super quality, gaming-wise and offer up about 8 hours of entertainment between the 2. It’s a different way of releasing games to be sure (episodic), but the fact that many are calling the first 2 episodes in the series game of the year type of content, shows that these games are very much a good value, even though they’re 2/5ths of the to be completed work.

  • very upsetting. due to the psn hack last year i had to resort to using only gift card transactions. i recently put 20 bucks for GTA3 (and escape plan + DLCs). i hope it comes in tomorrow. if its ready before next tuesday, why not put it out earlier.

  • Hey Morgan, since you said it was okay to vent, can i vent about the complete morons that seem to want to forget how to read, or skip important information and just yell at you instead?

I mean what the hell is wrong with you people that you cannot read, or do not understand that the universe is not perfect and is not at your damned beck & call. Get over it, GTA 3 isnt coming out today, and unfortunately may never due to what i understand are possible music licensing issues, so, again, GET OVER IT!

And what is with you people that are complaining about the Walking Dead, when THE PS+ NEWS INDICATED IT WOULD BE HERE NEXT WEEK!!! So far only one person that yelled at Morgan has apologized, and kudos to him. For the rest of you self entitled children, get a clue.

…Okay, done venting, now Morgan, one question. Is Growlanser on the Vita store today, or atleast transferrable, or do we have to wait a while? i’m willing to buy it and wait a few weeks, as i havent even finished Gungnir or Unchained Blades yet, but i’d like to know if possible.

  • @ 117 boomstick.

Well, seeing as how the games are available separately, and come out separate from eachother, and is EPISODIC you should be happy that it is only being counted as 1 game, and not 2.

  • Nice early update but no GTA3,that’s ok I already have that game anyways. Still no sign of the PSone games, let us know when we get more of those (please get Gex: enter the gecko and Ridge Racer PSone games,
    I really appreciate it). ;)

  • i dont understand why some ps2 games will work for download and some wont. they should be close to the same format right all developed for the same system the ps2 so why do some work and some not work GTA would be a great game to play again.

  • Any plans on getting Star Ocean the last hope on PS3 as download for PS2 game? I have list of game i would love to see come to the PS3 as PS2 games. Xenosaga 1-3 would be awesome to have on PS3, all Star Ocean games from PS1 to PS2 on PS3, and Kingdom Hearts games as well.

  • No GTA 3 what. Why did you not let us know befor the update.

  • People, please read the posts before firing off on Morgan Haro. While I’m a fellow gamer, I’m also an English teacher. Morgan does a really good job of writing the posts and constructing a blog that is readable. Sure, many people have legitimate questions that Haro answers, but too often I see people getting stark raving mad over something that was posted in plain sight on the blog. Chill out and read.

Morgan, I don’t know what your English teacher in high school thought about you, but in this one’s eyes, you write a comprehensive, well-rounded blog.

  • wow Morgan …. just wow …. im amazed as how the crunchyroll app is so good it puts the subtitle language automatically in spanish because i live in puerto rico …. but guess what my console has the language set to english … this crunchyroll app blows im sorry, it doesn’t even have an option to change the subtitles to English, it needs to be updated, get the word out my friend i want english subtitles not spanish

  • @ 124 Wickedghost.

If you actually read whats been posted, you would know that the blog/update guys did not know until Monday, and they misplaced their time machine.

    Please learn to read.

  • LMAO at the Day 1 DLC for The Expendables 2. Are they really this money hungry? What’s next? Being able to pay to unlock all the trophies in games?

  • Thanks Morgan Haro for the answer, its been bothering me for some time now.

  • Hi Morgan what happen to thw walking dead on playstation plus thought it was this week for free or is it next week, And i heard rumors that you guys were going put final fantasy 10 on the network can you let me in on that if its true

  • jose213jose stop man those games are the ones we all want sonys never gonna put them on the store

  • Someone needs to establish a petition to improve the features of PS3, PS Vita and PSN that the CUSTOMERS are demanding instead of the features playstation thinks we want. If all else fails we have grounds for a decent class action lawsuit. Its still illegal to bait in switch in the united states. All these promises were made when the vita came out and we are still waiting. Way to put profit before customers. Stop worrying about next gen and start worrying about your customers jumping ship. i will not be buying a ps4 for 2 years after release (if ever…. leaning xbox 720 right now) because it seems to takes sony at least that long to do anything they promise. I want a refund for my vita

  • @131 ItaChu: Yea i know dude but it doesn’t hurt to try lol.

  • Very disappointing that GTA 3 didn’t make it specially last second. Like it’s already bad that it’s a straight port and no HD compatible but having to delay it right last second and causing all this is hype was just put to nothing.

  • @LionFranco: Are you braindead or something? We’re lucky TWD isn’t counted as 2 games? Seriously? The FULL GAME is released in increments. You can choose to pay for each indivudual episode of the game as they release, or pre-purchase the full game with a $5 discount. The fact is that all 5 episodes are the full game, not each episode. 2 episodes is less than half of a game not 2 games. This is exactly why they pulled this stunt; Because people like you are easy to fool.

  • Thanks Morgan.

Even when I’m dissapointed with Plus/updates/etc… I’m more than happy with your level of interaction/co-operation/help on these threads.

I know your job isn’t easy and while I have some negative feelings towards plus right now, my feelings towards the Sony/PSN staff are nothing but positive.

  • When can we expect the all stars beta to come out in the US?

  • @TwinDad

    Ditto

  • Lion franko is did not see the damm post. So I should be angry about GTA not comming today. and we should not have to wait intill next tuesday just to get it. I hate the people that get on the blog and thin they know everything.

  • Man i completely agree with 101. man every tues. when i read the comments (mostly the ones with red replies) it’s about complaints. i understand about speaking your mind but i think people exaggerate way TOO MUCH! but it’s good to hear morgan is a tough (& ect) dude, just wish people are more respectful…. (well there’s nothing you can do about it) i’m sure we can expect great things soon :)

  • When are we getting ps classics for Vita? And Legend Of Legaia please!

  • I’m so confused. I thought that we would be getting new “Instant Game Collection” titles every month. How does this work? The same ones have been there forever. Do they only swap out one game per month? Or are they going to be changing all the games at once every month? Can someone please explain how this is supposed to work?

  • @ 135

i’m not easy to fool, as i dont give a care about the Walking Dead games. Its people like you that moan and complain about every little thing instead of realizing that you get a helluva lot of stuff for that PS+ subcription we pay for. Whether it is discounts, free games, etc.

Seriously, if you have been paying for PS+ since its inception, it has paid for itself JUST in game discounts. And if you count the FULL games that are available for free that started in June, it has more than paid for itself.

If you think you are entitled to more than that, then just cancel your PS+ subscription and wait a few months, you will get more than that, and then you can just resubscribe.

  • Morgan Haro,

Please tell me you have some news about PS1 classics on the Vita? Any thing you’re hearing around? Your killing us. I really think PS1 classics should have been on the Vita since day one.

  • @ WickedGhost

I dont know everything, again, i just know how to read.

And also there is no guarantee that GTA3 is coming next week, or possibly ever, due to the issues that have come up. So i would not hold my breath.

  • @ people asking about PSOne classics.

Morgan isnt going to be able to say anything about PSone classics on the Vita, i’m sure he has to stay tight lipped, but there is A LOT of rumor that the firmware update that enables PSone classics will be coming in about 2 weeks at Gamescon.

Of course no guarantees, but it would fall right about the middle of Summer, and we were promised that it was coming in the summer.

  • You say you’re kidding Morgan… but I know it’s coming. =)

Regardless, The Expendables 2 seems like it will be a lot of fun.

  • seriously? no sales this week?

  • @LionFranco: When we as paying customers are being played for fools then yes I will complain. We actually get less than we used to before this stupid Instant Game Collection trickery. Oh, 12 games always instantly waiting for you! Umm, maybe for your initial signup month, after that you are getting 3 games a month (less than that in August it would seem due to TWD not being a full game). If lowering the amount of monthly games resulted in AAA titles being provided monthly then that would make sense. I still think it would be crap, but at least I could see the reasoning. I don’t see how the Instant Game Collection is any better than what we used to get once you are out of your first month of Plus. It is actually worse. So yeah, YOU are easy to fool.

Also I definitely don’t intent to renew Plus because it’s become total trash compared to what it used to be. I will not wait a few months to renew, because if I cancel it then that is it.

  • Every week, I come to the Playstation blog to see what fresh new content is in store for PS Vita. UNSURPRISINGLY, there isn’t anything, yet again. I have been checking the blog every week for the past six weeks, and every time I have been let down by weak content/news for PS Vita. I’ve been very reserved and patient about this issue and I’ve had enough. I want to see new apps for my PS Vita such as an alarm clock, a basic calendar, or even a music playlist editor! I don’t want to feel like I’ve been wasting my time with PS Vita. I was a strong “first mover” when PS Vita was released and I want the PS Vita to succeed and become a great handheld system; if not, the greatest handheld system! So, where is the new content???

  • @ Sevyne

You do know that PS+ content is also regulated by publishers right? Not just by Sony. So they cant always give us everything we want on PS+.

But if you dont understand that, then just dont let the door hit you on the way out. Or do, i dont care.
