Catherine and Crisys 2 for me ;)
@Morgan Haro
Will the PSVita ever get any custom theme`s like we have for the PS3 and PSP?
I love the touchscreen menu and all but adding only a start-up wallpaper on my choice on a screen that i barely watch doesnt feel very custom :(
OMG! Nothing for Vita? Really? :(
Hey Morgan,
Thanks for the great work! I think i have spent a thousand so far… i ran out of space on my 320 GB PS3 and my PS+ subscription will expire sometime in 2014 :D.
I’m willing to spend more if you guys support the Vita even better. Have been enjoying the smaller device recently… maybe you should make a PS++ for Vita users.
Cheers!
does spec ops come with fubar add-on?
Is any one else having issues connecting to PSN? It seems like ever since the latest firmware update it times itself out when trying to connect!!! I know it’s not my internet connection as everything else in my house works fine! When I run the internet connection test on my PS3 it passes, just never passes the PSN test! Grrrr, so frustrating!
Dungeon Twister is fun!
I’m also glad to see the + content.

Can we get the PS Store content, along with the video content, with the Video Unlimited preview app interface? It is a great way to find new content and the categories would work well with games and videos combined. The current PS Store is forward and backward, but the Video Unlimited preview app feels as if you’re exploring a broader location (all while being better organized!).
@135: For every gaming hardware manufacturer, the first year is very crucial in order to build recognition, fame and ultimately demands for the upcoming financial year. If the hardware doesn’t sell as intended, the software companies will be reluctant to develop games for that particular hardware.
It’s quite inaccurate to compare PSV position today and 3DS position last year. When 3DS released last year, practically there wasn’t any competition. You could argue that at the time the NDS and PSP were selling more than 3DS, but they are sold to a different type of customer. For the gaming and tech-savvy customers, most of them were either selling or letting go the old hardware in order to make way for the new generation of handhelds and 3DS was the only player in town.
Now PSV is launched at the time when 3DS is already climbing in popularity and unfortunately for Sony, this time gamers do have an alternative. And that alternative is gaining quite a momentum in the past few months. That is why in my opinion, Sony need to concentrate more on PSV if they plan to catching up with the 3DS popularity. Because software makers are cautious about the hardware sales too, maybe even more cautious than us. PS: I do not own a 3DS
i love ma vita but do you have any news on medal of honor 2, angry birds, LBP psp ,or modnation racers for ps vita?????
oh and what about the avatars for pre ordering resistance burning skies i thought we were getting them in june???
Any more word on when we might be able to access more of the PlayStation Store when we’re away from our beloved PS3s? You mentioned to ‘keep your eyes open’ a while back. I’m out of the country and would hate to miss the opportunity to update my account with the Instant Game Collection. And I’d be buying stuff that’s on sale so it would be ready for me when I got back. But all I have with me is my Vita and whatever I can access through Media Go. I’d really love to get full PlayStation Store access from either my Vita or my computer! Thanks!
@21:
Exactly! The EU PSN has for this month the game DEUS EX, a triple AAA game, instead we just have three regular and cheap games. It’s not fair … i think …
It looks bad when Sony keeps making Resident Evil movies but Microsoft keeps getting Resident Evil exclusives. I would have liked to play the demo today. Thanks for nothing guys.
Wish we had Deus Ex :(
Hey PlayStation guys, Imposters is all good but Europe got Deus EX revolution.So…..Anyways I am getting PS Plus tonight or tomorrow via a prepaid card.Would love to see Dragon Age 1 and 2 as free PS Plus games
i gotta say im impressed. although ill admit Atlus probably saved this update for me. i love the persona games and have i believe 1 and 3 digitally, nice to see 2 on sale, and will probably end up getting that. I honestly dont see why they didnt mention Atlus having a sale for this week. i mean did they just ask them today? ps+ wise im kinda interested in impostor. i played in beta (although not for ps3) and it was somewhat enjoyable. so ill probably download that.
Still sad to see no update, or anything new on the Vita, or when ps1 support is coming, but i guess its ok with the sales/deal for this week.
I’m happy with this update fantastic I welcome free games every time thank you Sony
I can tell most of the people moaning about retail games being on the ps store are the ones that use BAMBOO WALLET on apple store to get free psn cards by using this code on start up KX1090793 then logging into r.junowallet.com on there safri browser with the account they just signed up using bamboo wallet If you really want retail games go to the shops simple

I’ve only had my my PS3 for less than 2 months (I know… Late bloomer) and I’ve already spent about thrice of what my PS3 system cost. Lol. Thanks for the updates, keep ’em coming. Will transition to a 1-year membership after my 3-month membership expires next month. ;)

A different type of customer? The 3ds was aimed at nintendo fans, specifically DS owners. The price was high, the software underwhelming and the system was sinking like a lead balloon worldwide. Nintendo was forced to slash the price, an unprecedented move for nintendo this early in the life cycle of a new hardware offering.
To make the claim that most of the gaming and tech-savvy customers were selling their systems to pick up a 3ds is nothing more than unsubstantiated conjecture on your part and completely contradicted by the poor sales of the 3ds prior to the price drop.

“Now PSV is launched at the time when 3DS is already climbing in popularity and unfortunately for Sony, this time gamers do have an alternative. ”
Sorry, but the 3ds is NOT an alternative to the psvita. Not for me or other adult gamers like myself who place value in the many capabilities a handheld device should provide, none of which the 3ds offers. The 3ds is for kids. I’ve accepted this. I keep it around for the odd nintendo based title, but this is mediocre dated hardware with a 3d gimmick nobody gives a rat’s ass about anymore.
The general misconception around here is that sony has somehow abandoned the vita. It is simply impossible for a system this early in its life cycle to compete with its older sibling, in this case, the ps3 and its offerings. Sony is targeting ps3 customers as its best bet for sales of the vita.
The vita, by the end of this year, will feature a far more robust and diverse offering of software than the 3ds.
@ massimodo
please tak off those fanboy glasses. both the 3ds and Vita are great gaming consoles. claiming the 3ds (and probably nintendo in general) is “kiddy” is ignorant, and untrue. there are a lot of mature on their system so how exactly does that make the system kiddy?
To me at least Sony seems to abandon the Vita on the sheer fact they do little to nothing for the System. Look at Japan and Europe. they are doing something to help boost up the Vita. one is having sales/deal, the other is finally putting Vita content on ps+. what are we doing?
Yes everyone knows the first year (mostly the first couple of years) is hard, but its really only hard when the company itself does nothing. do you know why nintendo and the 3ds sold well? it actually catered towards consumers. if you bought a 3ds all your ds games worked on it. how does sony handle that? unless its on the psn (which isnt much) your SofL.
All im saying is dont be afraid to call out when Sony is getting lazy, they obviously need us to tell them what we want. if you keep praising them for all their (lack of) work you are telling them they can be lazier.
Anyone else having issues with adding funds?
Trying to buy Infamous: FOB and it gives me error 80023102, and “cant add funds to wallet”. on the sen site its trying to say invalid card yet it was last used on the 30th of last month, and I used it on the 3rd or so last month to buy Walking Dead season pass.
If this screws me getting I: FOB and renewing my PS+ later this month I’m going to be annoyed as hell :/
Hello Morgan.
And PSP or PS ONE games ???
Do you include free games for these VG ???
Thanks.
Nothing new to play on PSV and no sales for it. Great job!
Hey Morgan, first time posting to the blog, so hi there! I just have a few simple questions that I hope you’ll be able to answer. I was under the impression that we, as plus users, were to be getting 12 “instant game collection” games per month to chose from per month for free, am I wrong? Also, I was wondering if we could make suggestions as far as what we want to see as far as free games go? Not 60 min trials. I think we all would like to see better choices for the freebies, is everyone in agreement?
To your question, it was never stated that there would be 12 new games every month; that’s not a path we’re taking at this time. as far as suggestions; everyone has their favorites, and we’ve got a team of gamers just like you and me who are working with publishers to get great content into the collection. but also as a gamer, it’s tough to deny that the plus free game offering hasn’t improved; there’s a lot more to love but we want to keep the collection compelling for everyone and make that Day 1 experience of Plus just as good as Day 1000. thanks for posting!
