  • What’s everyone’s take on Dragon’s Dogma? I haven’t been following to closely, is it worth trying the demo. I enjoy RPG etc so I’m just wondering…

  • @67, you seem like a gamer for life & I understand your frustration of wanting more & more. However, while the Vita can play PSP games, it’s NOT the PSP 2. Many Vita owners have hid in ignorance to this fact. Where on the retail box or the manual does it state that all PSP digital games are workable at launch? What we remember as it was branded in our minds, is that slide/video at some Sony event which displayed playable PSP titles. It was a work in progress. Yet many users here expect a DS to DSi upgrade where DS games are without question fully functional from the start.

Secondly, can we be realistic for a moment? The Vita is a NEW platform & having made the annoucement that some PSP titles are Vita ready months back, can we assume that the rest are being worked on as quickly as possible? I don’t think Sony is holding them back so we can conclude that the process is time consuming. I am not an engineer or a coder & any corporate entity has a limited budget & staff… let’s take a breather & wrap our heads around that fact for a second.

  • Is very good you guy putting triple A games full games in the PSN but battlefielp 3 6 months after launch fo full price of 59.99 for a digital copy since u can easily find it in amazon or gamestop for $50, dont looks fair to me, playstation always making mistakes with the pricing, C mon guys!! love you, but sometimes you make things hard

  • Morgan my man, if you can tell me that we can still get dlc for Tales of Graces F then you would be my new best friend!!!! Also, love the updates! So many things to get and play from it, so little time!!

    • Looks like we’ll have to put that BFF status on hold. Don’t have any info on that one I’m afraid

  • @ xKuno
I completely agree. Being that there wasn’t a whole lot I was interested in for the Vita from the start, the fact that backwards compatibility isn’t working is why I decided not to buy a Vita yet.

Also, while I enjoy using and purchasing off of PSN, the download times are absolutely horrid. I started downloading Dragon’s Dogma an hour ago, and it still has 600+ minutes remaining. I have 20 Mbps download speed and my 360 downloads fast so it’s not an issue on my end.

Whether it’s a PSN purchase or a title update the download and install times are just too long.

  • Nothing really interesting for me this week (another weak one).
Just waiting for May and its PS+ advantages :D

  • …continued

As I mentioned to you, itofu,: there are monthly retail releases so far- & the titles are solid. Sure they may not appeal to everybody (I may not purchase Madden this August but many users here will), but come E3 the content will only get better. What I’ll like Sony to do is provide us w/ a clearer timetable to items such as complete PSP support to firmware updates. Yet w/ the recent matter of a major restructuring of company resources, can we blame them if they don’t? It’s a business & they’re trying to turn profits. Their number one priority is to sell systems- & that means pushing out Vita & PS3 content in the strictest sense.

  • I’m a patient guy, but I too am looking forward to ps1 support for my Vita, as well as more psp games. And our PS+ minis still aren’t working on Vita either right? And I really hope that the overwhelming majority of games in the future are developed to work with remote play. If I am on the fence about a PSN or retail game, remote play will be a huge factor for me from now on.

  • Just wanted to echo xKuno and Gokuhan_Z’s comments, I know there’s lots of new games and apps in the pipeline, but I am also anxiously awaiting more compatible PSP titles (especially since I don’t have a PS3, so I must obtain them through the Vita store).

I just wrote about this in the forums a few hours ago:

    http://community.us.playstation.com/message/37645764#37645764

but seeing these comments here, I thought I’d also mention it here.

  • So, is the Elevator Action DLC free, or is it $1.99?

And Zuma is already on the store. It’s been there for at least a couple years at this point. Or is this a new game with same name?

    ???

    Not complaining, just curious.

    I hate whiners.

  • I’m hoping that the PSP has enough life left in it for me to complete my collection before it all disappears from shelves.

  • Can you please enable MYST for the PSP to be playable on the PS Vita? I miss it… Gave the 3000 to my brother when the Vita came out and that is the one game I really want to see again.

  • Picked up the DLC for Asura’s Wrath. It was one of the best dlc packs I’ve paid for and definitely made the game much better.

  • Can you guys help me with this? My Vita’s Skype crashes because””Skype has run out of memory because you have too many contacts.” I tried deleting contacts until I have only 24 left and it still states that it ran out of memory, am I doing something wrong?

  • @iTofuMan

While Crisis Core’s (and every other PSP game from SE that’s not on PSN) reason for not being on the PSN is baffling, whatever it may be, I do know that KH BbS isn’t (and probably won’t) be on there because of legal issues between them and Disney.

  • question for forum mod

for some reason I’m not seeing what are supposed to be vita supported minis that I own on the vita.
neither on the store, nor when I attempted to transfer from ps3.
All appear in the store under the section “Minis for PS3/PSP/PS Vita” [on my ps3]
    these include:
Age of Zombies, Alien Zombie Death, Babel, Bashi Blocks, I must run, Me Monstar and A space shooter for 2 bucks.
these are all featured in the official list of supported minis for vita, and they are all both installed AND downloaded onto my ps3.. none will transfer over or are available on the vita store.

    Am i doing something wrong?

i know you guys don’t usually reply to this stuff, but I’d love to know whether my expectations are off or if these should be transferrable to the vita somehow.

    thanks!

  • Remember what Thumper’s dad told him….

Anyway, at least we get Dragon’s Dogma demo and Skype on Vita…everything else is dull.

  • wooooooo nice!
love the dynasty warriors 7 avatars ;) i want more plz

  • well, yea, theres not alot of vita games right now or coming out, but theres pleanty of ps1/ps2 classics to download if you have a psp, certainlly for those of us that drops a few bucks for a video system that is suppose to play ps1/ps2 classics, we are just SOL. Seriusly, ive already beating my 5 vita games, its just sitting there collecting dust now, makes a good paper weight, lol. I wonder who will get the ps1/2 support for the vita first, sony or homebrew, lol

  • Sony, I love you! Thanks for putting a new PS2 game up. And out of all games, RED FACTION!! Loved that game.

  • hey, heres a ps2 classic request, Legend of Lunar 1 & 2, plus all the .hack series, those games were the BOMB!

  • Glad to see a more intuitive organization of content from system to system.

  • All of you whining about PSP2 not having any games, well, that is what you get for being an early adopter. Seriously, it is that way with just about every freaking system.

Me? Well, I’m waiting for a ton of RPGs first, so probably around 2 years until I get a PSP2. I’m disheartened that Sony does not care about the RPG genre, especially when those are the games that put the Playstation brand on the map in the first place.

  • @114, I looked up your acct. You have 2 Vita games & they’re far from “beaten.” Are you using another PSN acct… or did you have a brain fart?

  • just tried the walking dead demo. awsome, was very entertaining diddnt want the demo to stop. will be picking up once all them are released so i can get them all at once.

  • @Gokuhan_Z: I hate to break it to you, but it’s one of two things. It’s either the same thing I said last time someone complained about slow download speeds (trying to download at peak times, same as EVERYONE ELSE), or it’s your connection. I personally, on a regular basis, get easily 8-15mbps downloads from PSN. Depending on the size of the file, I’ll either watch the % complete go up 1 or more points every second, or if the file is huge, I’ll watch the downloaded size increase by 1-3MBs every second. It’s definitely not a problem on PSN’s side of things.

  • @luvtoseek Does it really matter how many Vita games he has or says he has? Doesn’t change the fact that the entire Vita library can be completed in a matter of a day or two. Most people also didn’t buy every single game because not every single game is to each person’s tastes.

All of this is expected of course, as it has only been a few months since launch. However, people are saying that they could alleviate that by at least getting the ball rolling a bit more on the PSP support that we were told would be coming “in the coming weeks” ALMOST 3 MONTHS AGO. Hell, they even bolded that line! Look for yourself.

  • I wish ‘Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection’ had Trophies :(

  • Morgan Haro
please when Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City – Echo Six Expansion Pack 2 ( add one ) come ?
and we need a terrific account avtars like Resident Evil 6 or like Japan store ” avtars ” if available
    thanks .

  • Please the disappointment I have for the current state of Twisted Metal, that is the online STILL being glitchy and such, would be appeased somewhat by avatars. Thanks.

  • Really, My family has been waiting for a new hot shots game forever. Not this. How about a new hot shots golf we would pay for that.

  • @7, this is the real world , in the real world games take a very long time to make, so expecting a new game every few weeks especially with a launch system is unrealistic. Stop complaining in the mean time they are adding functionality, since when is that ever cause to complain? LMAO kids. name 1 launch systems that had a steady stream of games every month? MAybe next time dont be an early adopter.

  • @102, then why is the store fast for me? My psn downloads are the same speed as my xbox live downloads……. Nothing wrong with PSN speeds, something is wrong on your end.

  • Does any 1 know why last week people were geting the boot from the PSN and they could not get on unless their friends in vited them and if the y left they would get the boot and why they would get the error codes for example D5021 or f13 thankyou:)

  • Is there any chance Mega Man 5 (Rock Man 5 Complete Works) will be added to the Japanese Import section any time soon? I have previously bought 1-4 at the Japanese store but since they have been added to the US PSN Store I have been waiting for the game to be released for the US store since it’s a hazzle getting yen for the Japanese store and buy it there

  • iTofuMan , yeaa i know. i want to pre-order but money is tight at the moment. hope this deal last long enough for me to be able to.

  • @45; That is a lie. DIsgaea 3 came out last week. And poster 69 mentioned Stardrone Extreme which I forgot about.

Even the PS3, which has been out for many years, has slow weeks. The PSVita still got some content this week, some add-ons and an app.

No content that interests you =/= no content at all.

Would I love new games each week? Sure, but the platform is within it’s first 6 months of life. It’ll take time to get more consistent releases, because development takes time. This is how *ALL* launches go. There’s the launch release push, then there’s a lull with a few releases before things start to pick up after development of non-launch window titles starts to wrap up.

Never buy at launch again if you’re going to complain about the inevitable.

  • mmm. let me think, no trophies for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection, NOT BUYING!

    vp psn legionairee group

  • @138 its a direct port. most of the time they dont get trophies support. maybe if they patch it in down the line/ but direct port usally dnt have trophies

  • Ok i have to admit this was a pretty good drop considering how things have been going, and if its up to the other publishers to deside if they want to give you games to post on the psn then do you contact them asking for said games when we ask you? because like for me Iv been diying to get the Xenosaga games on the PSN for years now but Iv gotten no where when contancting you guys or the old publishers and the new ones either. Whats up? and yes i too feel the pain of not having the ps1 compat for my vita as well..

The memory issue with Contacts on the Vita for Skype has been addressed in the Skype Vita forums. (The Sony Blog post for Skype app on Vita, mentions if you have any problems, to issue your problems on the Skype Vita Forum support page).

    The answer they had was:

“At the initial sign-in the synchronization can cause the application to exit if there are many contacts, try signing in several times with the same account to load all contacts and prevent this from happening. Should work with up to 150 contacts. ”

May be a hassle initially, but apparently works.

Also, found this on Skype forums support for Vita for anyone using a Mac with this problem:

“On your Mac go to preferences, general, then uncheck show address book contacts that should fix the vita problem should be similar on pc ”

    Hope that helps.

  • Couldn’t you guys strong arm the publishers a little into releasing back catalog content for the Vita? Why do the EU and JP stores get Hot Shots Tennis & Motorstorm Arctic Edge but the US store is left out?

  • In case anyone was curious, Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds does not include trophies, but it does include Move and 3D support now.
Also, I tested this last night, the disc version will update and also includes the Move and 3D support as well, except the game doesn’t prompt for the update like most games do. You have to launch the game, go to the online setting on the game menu, and then when it connects to the internet, it downloads the update. Once it’s finished you have to quit the game and re-launch. You should have 3D and Move support.
So, if anyone out there (like me) has the disc version of the game and was misled by the update here on the store that you have to buy the PSN version to get 3D support and Move, you don’t have to worry and re-purchase the game. Just launch the game and let it run the update and you’re good.
Still no trophies tho, but who cares, the game’s still a blast to play and the 3D is cool.

  • So now that Skype is out can we actually get a time frame on when we can expect psp and ps1 games to be playable on the Vita? The updated list we were told was coming soon is now 2 months past soon.Since you’ve hired people to answer these questions just simply answer them.I don’t know, coming soon anything other than just ignoring it isn’t helping.I could care less about Skype but would like the system to be able to do what was promised. Its a game system at heart and we’d like it to do at least what the last system could which was play what we’ve already purchased.

Not sure if you’ve heard, but a couple of the PSP games were brought over to the Vita by people that are then modding the games.

Sony have fixed the issue on those 2 games and put them out on the store again, however, I’ve read last week that another game has the same problem.

My guess is Sony and the devs are trying to fix this bug first and then we’ll see a stream of PSP games coming over to play on the Vita.

In my own opinion, I’d rather they fix this issue first, as if they don’t and people can break the Vita like the PSP was, the devs won’t create for the Vita any longer.

As well, not sure if you remember the security breach in 2011 that caused the outage on the PSN for quite a while.

Let them fix the issues and then move the games over to the PSP…I can wait until it’s fixed as I find there are enough Vita games now that are keeping me busy as well as my backlog of PS3 games.
