  • My apologies for my mistake earlier:

“I’m glad to see Phineas and Ferb got an actual PS+ discount. Last weeks blog post had it listed at $33.”

Grace Chen said last week in the monthly PS+ post the game discount would be $31.99, not $33.

  • other than the few vita demos and the 13-2 dlc i give this a 2 at best

  • I’m guessing it’s because PS+ isn’t really implemented onto the Vita side, but the Motorstorm RC Pro-Am expansion is showing up at a full $2.99 on my Vita even though I’m a PS+ member. That’s kind of shady.

  • ok, so wtf? Where is skype guys? I thought it would be a feb 22nd release app, but no, then I finally call the support line, ask them, and they say early march? Well, we are 2 weeks into march. So where is it? Getting frustrating.

  • Nice update. Need more pspGo games and PsOne classics, but nice otherwise. Uncharted 3 DLC here I come.

  • Hey guys, does anyone have an idea as to when PS PLUS users will get to play our Minis on the Vita? I would be willing to purchase a few, like ‘A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks,’ in order to play them on the Vita but we don’t even have the option to do so. Why do all of these games that are supported not show up in the store for PS PLUS members but they do for everyone else? Thanks for any information that you can provide.

  • If you are a Vita owner with PS Plus, if you download the Motorstorm RC Elite Vehicle Pack 1, it is free if you buy it on the PS3 but $0.99 if you go through the Vita store. Same with the RC Pro-Am Expansion pack, $1.49 on PS3 but $2.99 on the Vita store. I bought both on the PS3 and successfully transferred to my Vita.

  • @51, yeah, they need to work on that as well, just cause there are less owners of the vita vs ps3, doesn’t mean you need to throw our needs by the way side. We want Skype! We want PS+ Vita benefits! We want Skype! We want PS+ Vita benefits!

  • No Rocksmith updates? I’m sad. :-(

  • There’s some great content this week!

The spring sale got off to a slow start, though. The way the store handles sales in general should be revamped, as there’s currently all sorts of places that direct people to price drops. Then there’s featured, and that section for new PS3 users. Things are getting cluttered all over. Maybe instead of several windows of various sizes, you just cycle the main screen to show new content?

Also, whoever it is that sorts things for the PS3 PlayStation Store should add MotorStorm RC to the 3D section.

  • I want to see jRPG discount week.

  • Want journey, but was hoping for a PS+ discount. Guess I can wait. I have so many other games to catch up on anyway.

  • So finally the store updated but I can’t download journey! I managed to get it to start once but at about 37% it crashed and I haven’t been able to get it going again. I just want to play. It seems like a journey just to get the game ;P

  • So the PSP is dead to you, Sony? Good to know. Seriously, this drop sucks if all you have is a PSP. No Legend of Dragoon and no new PSOne classics. FAIL.

  • Everyone do yourself a favor, set aside two hours this evening, and buy Journey if you haven’t already. It’s awesome, a very amazing experience. My only regret is I haven’t had time to sit down for a second playthrough. I’ll be getting the SFxT DLC and the Wipeout demo this week, nothing else really for me. Oh, and The Tester.

  • Hi! Quick question.

There was a blog posting earlier today about Time Machine: Rogue Pilot and at the end, the author said:
“Check out the demo for Time Machine: Rogue Pilot on PSN”

I was looking forward to doing just that, but I don’t see any demo on the store—just the full game. Will will see the demo in the upcoming weeks?

  • @ Morgan

Thanks for answering that guy. He has been beating every post about the headset issue. Mine works fine too. He keeps talking about 4.10 but hasn’t even checked to update to 4.11 ( not manditory).

Also I purchased the MotorStorm Expansion Pack under the Vita add-ons, I feel ripped off. I should have just got them for PS3 and got my Plus discount. It would be cool if there was another catogory that listed PS3/Vita add-ons.

    Thanks

  • Is it just me, or anyone else here does not care for Vita? I have the impression they are giving too much attention to the Vita and leaving the PS3 and PSP side.

  • @Morgan, the guy that commented about the Sony headset is completely accurate. Ever since 4.0 or 4.1 there is a lot of static noise now with the headsets. I don’t know about a “news” story, but check out many recent reviews on Amazon for the past couple months. Please relay the information if you can.
    Great store update btw!

  • I wanted to get Journey but the 15 dollar price is 4. too much. I wish we could of got a 50 percent discount for plus members. At least hopefully the avatars and theme through plus will be something worth getting. And i hope the new co op mode for Uncharted 3 is cool.

Naughty dog needs to redeem themselves to all the fans who bought the fortune hunters club. We really need 8 new maps for the last DLC. Otherwise I feel like the fortune hunters was a waste of money. I didn’t pay 25 dollars for old maps and other things that I didn’t care about. I want the 4 map packs like i was promised through the fortune hunters club.

  • Will any of these things be happening this month?

    Additional PS1 Classic Releases
    Additional PS2 Classic Releases
    Price cuts for PSP games
Further Vita Compatibility with PSP games
    Further Vita Compatibility with Minis
    Vita Compatibility with PS1 Classics
    Vita Compatibility with PS2 Classics

    Any information would be appreciated.

  • I’d just like to add my voice with lPHOENIXZEROl’s. While those with PS3s have been able to re-download PSP games to their Vitas, those of us who used Media Go to get our PSP games are still waiting for the Vita store to update. It is obviously not a hardware issue, since some people can get the games up and running.

I really like my Vita. I just hope this issue is resolved soon. Thanks.

  • (Ps1 Classics)

    Brave Fencer Musashi
    Mega Man legends 1 & 2
    Saga Frontier 1 & 2
    Bushido Blade 1 & 2
    Einhänder
    Ehrgeiz
    MediEvil 2
    Suikoden II
    Legend of dragoon
    Legend of Legaia

im sure there are tons more “real classics” that need to be released but i dont really feel like typing every game so get on it!

  • So I have a Vita and I’m trying to copy a video from the PSN video store that I backed up through Media Go… how exactly do I get it on my memory card?

  • Grandia for $6 is a steal. I’d get it if I didn’t still have working PS1 discs. Everyone else should pick it up, though! Sam & Max for $20 is pretty good too.

Warp sounds interesting, but I’m not dropping $10 on a game without trying it out. There should be more demos for these smaller games available.

  • Warp is rated M? That’s one naughty robot =3

Anyways Journey is a must buy. I can’t get it yet ( due to my Vita with 3 games )

    But i’ve played on a friends PS3 & I loved it!!

(IT WAS BE MINE, OH YES…IT WELL BE MINE)

P.S. Any new on LBP on Vita? Gamestop has it coming out on 29th of this month. Is this true?

  • @Morgan Haro

Here’s a vid regarding the Official Sony 7.1 Wireless Headset issue made by GUNNS4HIRE, co-founder of NextGenTactics…you know, the guys who makes the Dumb vs Dumber & COD Zombie tutorials? yea, even he’s on our side about the headset, and has gone so far as to start a Sony boycott until the issue is resolved or settled. it’s on the G2PO site, it’s the new youtube of gaming.

    http://www.g2po.com/News.aspx?videoid=3734

Also, here’s the link to the main PlayStation Forum thread on the issue, you’ll find how livid and disappointed we are in Sony and their lack of responce, along with a through description of the issue over 19 pages now! last time a community leaderr or moderator was heard from was 3 weeks ago!

    http://community.us.playstation.com/message/37389079#37389079

  • LOL I said was =D

  • Hey Guys: Sid, Jeff, Ray, et al.

Thanks for all of your work here and on the podcast. Can you please share any news regarding putting Minis on Vita for those of us with PSN+? I’d really like to play some of them on my Vita, but I literally have no way of doing so… I can’t even purchase them because I have Plus. What’s the good word? Thanks!

  • The store needs a Queue ability, so I can see what I wanted to purchase and play next, too much and i’m forgetful. :(

  • Why isn’t the Motorstorm RC DLC price for PSN Plus subscribers displayed on the Vita PS Store?
I almost bought it thought my vita, but was smart enough to check on the PS3 before, only to find out that i could download one elite pack for free, another for $0,50 and the Pro-Am for $1.50.
What’s is the point of being a PS Plus subscriber if you can’t enjoy the discounts on the PS Vita too?

  • Is the first bioshock comin to digital, id rather have it om my hd then the sequal. Oh and while I hate to continue to bring it up, why was the storage of psp games removed as an option from the ps3 with update 4.0 when it was supose to only prep for the vita this seems less productive and has bugged me especially since I havent got an answer as to why. I had over 50 psp games on my hd now I have to through and redl them… I just want to know why

  • Warrior’s Lair? We going to hear anything more about this game? I’m really looking forward to it and it’s looking so much better that Dungeon Hunter (and that’s keeping my attention very well anymore). Last bit of news I’ve seen on this game was June of last year. It’s one of the big games I’m waiting for on my Vita!

  • Correction to previous post:

“not keeping my attention” — oops!

I guess that’s what I get for posting at work with my employees bugging me every 2 minutes.

  • @74 That’s what I wanna know. I would have a stroke if LBP was released in March!

  • Where is Skype!? I’ve been waiting like 3 weeks now

  • and where is LBP vita, can wee get a release date please!

  • THANK YOU for the complete and thorough update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @83 This too!!! IDK why Skype is one of the apps in the background on this site if it isn’t even available.

And I wish Tarsier Studios/Sony would communicate more with fans waiting for LBP, they have to be making some kind of progress right?

  • I’d love to know if/when we’ll be seeing Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock on the store for PS3 and Vita.

  • I realize developers have to eat and all. But I don’t believe in the $15 PSN game pricing. So I will hold out on Journey for a sale. It looks awesome, but I have a price point and $10 is it. So I will spend the $10 I would have spent on Journey on Warp.

I also think with another who said that “spring Fever” doesn’t have me thinking about war games. I understand the series is popular, but it doesn’t seem “springy” to me.

    Thanks for the update.

  • “This is Spring Fever. The disease is Call of Duty, and Journey it’s cure…
    Choose wisely”

    Well played Sony. Well played.

  • Warp looks great imo. I wish I had the money to spare for it. ):

Awesome to see a good game like Grandia see a price drop.

  • Just curious when the DLC for Gotham City Imposters is going to drop¿ On the site GCI.com forums it was approved and waiting for release and now it’s back in submission¿ At the same time I have to know if it will drop on a Tuesday with everything else or would it be possible to release it on the day that it’s ready¿ I’m trying to be patient, I know the teams and Sony work hard to make the players happy. I’m just a little frustrated that add on content for the PS3 always takes a month or so longer to reach the players.

  • I’m sure you realize… but we can get a PHYSICAL copy of Bioshock 2 with you now the book, case, disc and resale value for 10 bucks NEW right?

Do you guys even BOTHER with researching this stuff?

  • 80023102

  • when will mw3 be available in psn store????

  • Hi!! Why do i have to RE-download my PSP games in order to download them to my PSP?? They have to be in the bubble…i don´t like it. Becuase i have to keep 2 copies of the games in my ps3. :(

  • Morgan,

The other posters are accurate. Firmware 4.10 (4.11 did not resolve the issue) did something to the mic sensitivity settings on the PS3 where the PS3 7.1 Wireless Headset (and *some* Turtle Beach models) have a feedback issue. It appears not everyone has this issue, but I can confirm it is fairly widespread. Sadly, my roommate, neighbor, and I all have the issue (still love the headset though…just love it less at the moment) as well as many of the customers that come into my store (I work at a video game store) that I convinced to buy the headset in the first place). It’s very unfortunate, because it does effectively ruin one of the selling points of the otherwise fantastic headset and thus I’ve had to recommend it with the caveat of, “great sound, but you probably can’t use it online until Sony patches it” (which I hate saying…).

    • Thanks; with so many people voicing this out, it’s obvious it’s an issue. I’m going to check in on it and ensure the teams that need to know are aware.

  • Essentially, it seems that for many PS3s, the mic sensitivity is turned up to a level (that cannot be reduced through the accessory settings) that causes a constant static buzz in the ear of the person wearing the headset and also causes reverb(?) where anything that the person says is looped back in through the headset’s speakers. So, you hear others, but you’re also talking in your own ear. The headset still works fine for offline games and I can still use it online, but if I want to stop the feedback loop and static, I have to go to the accessory settings and set the input device to anything but the headset. I’m not going to bombard the blog with this issue, but you asked for clarification, so, hoping you read this far down, I thought I would provide it. I, like many, would like to get an update if at all possible. Thank you for your time and your patience (I don’t post often, but I read regularly…you handle a lot of flak, good sir).
