PlayStation Store Update

Hey everyone,
It’s the final week of celebrating Only On PSN with the release of 2 exclusive PSN titles: inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk SideScroller! Don’t forget that this is also the last week that you can purchase these, or any other content from the Store to go towards the $60 threshold to receive $10 back in November.

inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood delivers a darker adventure for Cole; complete with new powers, (did we mention he flies?) a new look for the city of New Marais, and access to the complete suite of User Generated Content tools. This downloadable inFAMOUS adventure is standalone and doesn’t require you to have previous inFAMOUS titles to play it.

  • where Battlefield 3?

  • @202 u sound dumb asking for battlefield 3. its out in stores, not the ps store

  • So do I have to call to get the refund on the GT5 PS+ discount or is it going to be automatic.

    • For quickest results at this time, you may want to call CS

      800-345-SONY (7669)

  • @203 – uh, it’s on the PlayStation Store in Europe.. so what’s so dumb about asking for a downloadable version rather than a disc version? Some people prefer it that way.

  • i want the game Dragon Ball Z Budokai tenkaichi 3 to clasic for PS2

  • Yeah my GT5 DLC is still not working……FYI: I bought it through the Plus menu, in bundle form, the two items I did get to download were the free gifts – The NSX and the Theme….nothing else. The items are listed in the services list under my account under the GT5 heading….indicating that they somehow are real? Upon entering the game it told me I have the new car and NOTHING else showed up.

I did all of this today…..morning…..6:30 a.m PST

  • Can’t believe nobody commented on this blatant money grab yet: Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Online Pass ($9.99)

While waiting for the PS+ R&C:A4O trial – (where is it BTW, we were promised it last week and Morgan Haro said last week – “soon enough”) – I got the game from Redbox. Played it for 4 days for $6 3 player offline. We got the RYNO and finished the game. I’m grateful to Redbox, Sony can stick it.

  • Nice update, grabbed the inFAMOUS Festival Of Blood and GT5 DLC.

  • Meh update and STILL no DCUO….

  • Did someone know why in the Mexican PS Store is not available Auditorium HD? The guy posting the news doesn´t update the PS Store news and never answer :(

  • Can I use the CinemNow account I created through Best Buy? I only ask because I have a movie on that account.

  • Whats with the GT5 dlc? you lot waited 11 months after release and you still can’t get it right? really? REALLY? give your collective heads a shake. People paid for it and they should get what they paid for not lame excuses. Not to mention it really should’ve been out months ago when it would’ve been the least bit relevant. Of the 3 people on my full friends list who bought the game none have played it in the last 6 months. Charging people for addons and not delivering does nothing positive least of all for Sony & PD.

namco bandai did better with the addon aircraft for Ace Combat: Assault horizon which is a game worth playing. But the prices are on the high side perticularly the shinden at $7.99, all 3 jets would raise the price of the game by $16. Drop that jet by half n the others by say $1 each and you’ll do far more business.

  • @rjejr, I and many others do despise the illicit game tax known as online passes. I for one have no interest in ratchet & clank despite the fact that some do. But perhaps like R3 too few people care to even notice? Makes me wonder if Insomniac will cancel that series too if first week sales don’t meet their expectations.

  • Can we expect any Uncharted 3 avatars, or any Batman: Arkham City avatars soon?

    Please respond!

  • My internet at home is down. Was wondering is it possible to free plus games to a USB drive and transfer to PS3 from there?

  • Great update to the store. A little off topic, but when are the voucher messages going to be sent out for payday the heist? I purchased all the necessary psn play titles by sept 19th but have yet to receive my message. I’ve made several calls to customer service, and feel I have been given the run a round, with the last response being call back next tuesday if you haven’t received it. That wil be two full weeks from launch, and to me that is unacceptable. This whole experience has really soured me on making psn purchases, and this is coming from a person that has spent several hundred dollars on psn purchases. Please help.

  • My 11-year-old son had been so excited about the GT5 DLC since they announced it, he wouldn’t even play a game yesterday, he just kept logging in and out of the store until it finally updated. Since he is 11, I bought the DLC on my side with my credit card, exactly like I have done with every single DLC item that he has wanted for the past 3-4 years. Imagine his disappointment when nothing showed up for him after logging in on his side. We finally found out that only the account that purchases the DLC can use it! In order to get it for him, I would have to purchase the content TWICE, once on my side and once on his! Now I am stuck with overpriced DLC that I don’t want and my son has to do without, unless I buy it again, which I do NOT want to do, not really because of the money but due to the principal of it. What a ludicrous way of doing business Sony, trying to nickel-and-dime your loyal customers with stunts like this! Why change your policy just for this DLC? Is this going to be the new policy for all future DLC? Just be sure that you know that we will not forget garbage like this when it comes to future purchases, and I was really leaning toward getting a Vita…

  • I just finished buying up to everything I wanted for this month and it added up to $64 in content. Can’t wait for my $10 rebate Thank You Playstation for all the wonderful content and I am certain that I will continue your support for many years to come. PS!! FTW!!

  • Just played the Sonic Generations demo last night.

Day 1 buy. This game is going to be amazing, merging the old with the new is such a great concept that I’m surprised Sega didn’t do this before.

Gah so many games coming out! Zelda: Skyward Sword, Uncharted 3, Super Mario 3D Land, Sonic Generations (3DS and PS3). I can’t afford them all!

  • race2winnet brought up a very valid point, as have others. All the games I’ve bought dlc for the dlc worked on more than one account on both of my ps3’s, even that other console the trolls hate so much doesn’t rip people off in such absurd fashion. That needs to stop, and right now!

  • H… Yea this is the kind of games i was talkin about mx v atv, cod black ops o yea sad thing is my spouse spilled liquid on my PS3 and i cannot get it replaced until the first half of next year :( :( :( i am reduced to playing an unspeakable console it is killing me KILLING ME . . KILLING ME one good thing though is that all these websites i have gone to reading reviews about games on both systems and saying those looked better on that system and saying that system is far better is a complete and i mean a COMPLETE LIE so i now know to never believe any review coming from those sites ever again God, I Miss My Playstation:(

  • Good week finished arkham city in time for uncharted 3

  • Disgaea 4 avatars in time for Halloween. Yes. Thank you.

  • You guys seriously need to get a sort function for download history. I have had plus for a while now and have been buying items for a few years as well. My download list is 800 items! It is such a pain to go through it. Help!

  • I know it may not be the best place to ask for it but I can’t find any better. Why the american version of Hot Shots Golf: Out Of Bounds still do not have the update the japanese version had that adds support for ps move and 3d?
    This game deserves better atention.

  • When is DC Universe gonna be free to download and free to play?we have not heard anything since sept.19th?

  • Any chance Battlefield 3 is releasing digitally in the US store like its EU counterpart?

  • Excuse me but I’d really appreciate some In Flames for Rock Back. I mean its almost Halloween they have a song called Zombie Inc. it fits your whole deal perfectly dont you think? And any news on Dead Island DLC? My Platinums looking bad with less than 100 percent

  • robin dlc asap

  • WOW Sony thanks alot for not releasing the free to play DC universe i was looking forward to that, not like you ever keep your word. hate to be so negitive.

  • Premiumpencil your not the only one. Me and my freinds want to try that out too but can’t cause sony cant keep a release date to save their lives. If any of us kept missing deadlines in college we’d flunk out, or at work and lose our jobs. The same rules should apply at sony, miss deadlines, or treat customers like dirt then face consequences.

  • wow.. really sony?

no DCUO yet? good fing lord.

im getting tired of you guys being clueless

  • with the whole FFVI/Chrono trigger coming out then not coming out debacle… was there ever an update as to why Final Fantasy VI has been released in Japan and UK but not N.A.?

  • I’ve a couple requests and questions.

    1. Would you be able to put the very first teaser trailer for FFXIII-2 on PSN?
    2. On that note; could you put the TV commercial for Heavenly Sword up on PSN?

    3. Could we see a sale, or price reduction, on Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Mirror’s Edge DLC?

    4. Is there a release date for Rock of Ages? It’s been out on XBLA for “ages” already.
    5. XBLA recently had a sale on Blade Kitten; do you think PSN could follow suit with a sale or reduction?

Thanks for your time and have a great weekend!

  • How do I download ps2 games? I can’t even find the categories in the PSN store? So confusing….

  • This type of DLC confusion, like with GT 5, is why MS is beating you Sony. Please…for the next generation of consoles, get things right.

  • I thought inFAMOUS 2 was supposed to get a Move patch along with Festival of Blood, is there any word on when that patch is set to go live?

  • wooow > thats coooool

  • is crash bash going to come tommorow????….also pls bring legend of dragoon and ps1 spyro to psn!!!!!!

  • First Time PS+ Subscriber, downloading Dead Nation for Free! Thank you

  • I have a question to ask as an oppose to the update….

Will we ever get to put spaces in our usernames or even change them?

  • Where is Battlefield 3 full game for download?

  • Just bought the GT5 complete pack. I spent the last hour thinking it was broken or something because only the 2 bonus items loaded automatically. Luckily I saw Brian Dunn’s response to comment #207. I didn’t know about the dlc option in the main menu. Glad I didn’t overreact and type up a nasty comment thinking I was ripped off or something lol. Can’t wait to get off work later today to check out the new gt5 goodies :) its getting late now lol.

  • thanks guys great stuff

  • Fantastic!

  • testing again

  • Daytona USA is a good choice
