Madden NFL 12 & Need for Speed SHIFT PSP Entertainment Pack

Hi everyone! Starting on August 30th, we’ll be introducing a new PSP entertainment pack that is sure to get you psyched for this year’s football season. We have partnered up with EA once again to bring you another fantastic PSP bundle featuring two exciting games to get your adrenaline pumping – Madden NFL 12 and Need for Speed SHIFT. Featuring a black PSP-3000, 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and both Madden NFL 12 and Need for Speed SHIFT on UMD, this new entertainment pack once again delivers great gaming on the go. It will be available at retailers nationwide for $159.99 (MSRP).

As most of you already know, Madden NFL12 continues the rich tradition of the storied Madden franchise featuring all 32 teams, stadiums, and your favorite players. The top features of the game include Superstar and Franchise modes and the opportunity to create your own plays in game.

In addition, Need for Speed SHIFT simulates the feeling of driving high-end performance cars and combines a fast-paced racing experience, competitive racing AI, and dynamic crashes across a wide range of technically challenging race tracks.

  • PS Vita is slated to be released, according to GameStop employee from yesterday, Christmass in Japan, Winter/March in USA and maybe same in EU

  • @38 The digital wave may be coming but some of us love collecting the actual physical media for the games instead of just getting the digital version.

@48 While as you see I do agree with you about having the physical copy of the game to add to our collection, but when the company it’s self turns it’s back on the UMD format that is a sign that it is time to move on beyond it. Besides that when it comes down to the UMD format they were clunky and the use of them ate up the battery life of the system.

So despite sounding dumb as hell… can’t we all just get along.

  • @40, It’s not costing Nintendo anything to give people those 20 select free games. There is no way that can make up for them ripping people off.

@51, GameStop employees don’t know anything. Until there are official announcements, there is no release date.

  • New PSP bundles? These must only be for suckers only. Maybe if there was even two new games a month for this thing, but the support has been pitiful for the PSP for far too long.

  • I would like a PSP Go bundle, just so I can collect it, not much for entertainment.

I actually think the PSP Go wasn’t a fail, like most of you think. It was a leap of faith, Sony took the first step. It didn’t sell as good as the original PSPs, but they are leading and showing the way as to whats next in the gaming industries future. Think of it like being the first to land on the moon. Not saying the moon landing failed at something lol :)

  • The go is actually a great system…
The only reason that the psp is still asvertised is because its a cheaper option than the go or Vita

  • i’m sticking to my psp 3000. i saw the list of games for the vita and it does’nt have my favorite games ie; socom, il2 stormovick, killzone, gran turizmo, etc.. i get the feeling that the vita is going to end up like the go.

  • @56

Not to be rude but you must not have read the list of games that are coming out for the system as Killzone, Resistance and many more such titles are coming to the system, if not right at launch then shortly after launch. I’m not telling you to buy the Vita that is your decision, but I do suggest that rather than writing the system off that you at least wait and see the game line up and what the system can do. Otherwise I feel you will be missing out a potentially great system. Besides that when it comes to the Vita it is not download only for the games, there is also the physical formats of the games as well. So again take a look before you go off blindly without ever looking at the ACTUAL game line up, not just the small abridged version of the list places like GameStop and the like have on their sites.

In fact here is a list of launch games (doesn’t mean that they will be out EXACTLY on launch but close to it).

  • While I have a Vita on pre-order, I may pick up one of these bundles and tuck it away until Christmas for my 9 year old son. Bundle should be a little cheaper, but not a bad price for the system and two games and it will hold him over for a least a few months before he starts lusting after my Vita!

  • i like psp it is fun you can take it to go with you

  • my dad got me one when i was 9 to

  • What I’m wondering is why you advertise these packs with the psp-3000 and not the Go. I understand it wasnt well recieved because of the lack of upgrades, but it is still upgraded. It is the better version in my opinion. But anyway its good to see that you will be supporting the PSP up until the vita its nice.

  • in my opinion this is a very appealing offer if i was to buy a bundled psp. i had gt5 and the show and they were both great, and played other madden games on this psp and it was fun. shift should also be fun. but to me it must be difficult to buy any psp bundle / model with the almighty vita coming soon. unless you plan on trading psp and games for the vita (which sadly they give little for) ive monitored psp’s on certain pre-owned web sites and its a hard sell. and wont mention the numbers ive seen them sold for. but if you have the cash and need a portable then hey grab this or another bundle( they have had a few good ones) or just wait until you see a psp bundle to fit your taste, they will be trying to flush these out so you will see more, but then it may not be as many options/packages as time gets closer to vita’s release.

  • nfl12 look fun

  • to bad they want let you play a psp in to school.

  • i am getting a new psp.

  • i do not like a psp go too because no umd games and the camera will not go on it.

  • Playstation this is going to be a major fail because of ps vita just add 50 more bucks to this and you can get a vita

  • $160?…good joke…….

  • why would any play madden anyway it’s the same crap everytime. and don’t give that repetative final fantasy excuse. there no story. everyone ive seen play this game basicaly play about 20 games and then simulated the rest.stipid, repetative and piontless
