Despite severalbigheadlines, this week was handily dominated by theUNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer Beta launch for PlayStation Plus members and the ensuing analysis. By and large, early feedbackseems to be positive. Though I’ve only managed an hour of hands-on time, I’m fast developing a torrid love affair with the G-Mal triple-burst assault rifle. I definitely plan on squeezing in as many rounds as possible over the long Fourth of July weekend, in between sessions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and inFAMOUS 2.

The “quick-toss” grenade option shouldn’t be set to Triangle, too much of a hassel to get exactly on the grenade instead of a surrounding gun. Maybe map it to a different button (R3, possibly?) so it wouldn’t interfere with other controls.
Armored SAS enemies, during a Siege, should be a little weaker (HP-wise). You already have little work room, plus the other 15 RPG and 3 Sniper NPCs surrounding you make it a bit too overwhelming (especially since those RPG guys choke you out, and tapping Triangle does NOTHING while your blue health bar slips away).
I have fallen on an enemy, only to get glitched on to his shoulder, and neither the NPC or I can move until one or the other is killed (usually ends up being the guy floating in the air….). Still a regular part of working out little Beta bugs.
I have been playing Uncharted 3 Beta few hours every day and here is my opinion on it:
Initially I was not a fan of Sprint Button or some of the other features which allow you to disappear into puff of smoke etc.
Now that is no longer a case, Sprint is awesome, when I play 1 against all or 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 I use Sprint button all the time, I actually love it now that I learned how to use it.
I think new features are amazing, I particularly love the High five, fist pounce thing it is so much fun. I am also enjoying 3D a lot, been playing it and it is great, and I know that more polish will come before game releases in 4 months.
Option when you can get unlimited ammo, disappear into puff of smoke etc are fun and allow lesser skilled players to have ability to get out of the trouble. Truth is in the heat of the battle I forget about that kickback 70% of the time, I am glad the lady keeps reminding me.
Game is super fun. Now glitches, freezing, slowness and graphics. THIS IS BETA. Currently Naughty Dog is collecting information about how we play the game what we like and what we hate etc. They will Polish the graphics before the release, make adjustments etc. etc.
After installing BETA I rebooted my PS3, got 1.01 update rebooted again and things have been working great ever since. If you are still having trouble, delete U3 Beta from your PS3, re install and then reboot your PS3 that should fix it up. Slowness relates to lag, so if your internet connection is poor (you will know this because you have bars next to your PSN name to tell you that when you are in the lobby ready to join a game) that means server you are connecting to and people that you will be playing with are far away from you.
I thin lobby is fun, but it takes some time to get used to it, there are few glitches here and there and I will try to mention as many as I can:
Chateau (you can jump through wall, I think reason is that after fire the wall is gone, so developers forgot to make code in the wall barrier before the fire)
There are some other issues, I managed to kill one guy after he jumped out the window by grabbing him in mid air and breaking his back, as if we were flying.
I do like when we join the games half way through etc, Gun balancing is great, sure at first it feels different than U2 cause it is but that is part of learning new skill in new game.
hii.. the beta was awsome but there is some problem with my system when i try to quit the game my ps3 restart automatically ???????? any solution 4 this……
HEY ID LIKE TO ASK SOMETHING OF THE BETA CAN WE GET PLUNDER BACK AND MAYBE A MAP SWITCH TO TWO DIFFERENT MAPS SO WE CAN REALLY GET A FEEL FOR THE GAME ALSO THE TRUCK PART OF THE AIRSTRIP IS REALLY FRUSTRATING AS TO YOU HAVE TO DIE 6 OR MORE TIMES BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY GET ON THE PLANE AND THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING LOVE THE AK WITH RATE OF FIRE THE ONLY THING THAT I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IS IT SEEMS THAT MOST TIMES THAT YOU KILL SOMEONE THEY ALSO KILL YOU AND IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE THAN NORMAL SO MORE OFTEN THAN NOT EVEN IF YOU GO 18 KILLS YOU WIND UP WITH 18 DEATHS AND THIS IS ALSO FRUSTRATING ALSO OCCASIONAL SESSION INITIALIZATION ERROR AND A FEW FREEZES WHILE USING CINEMA. NAUGHTY DOG!!!!!!
ok what i did not like was the fact that the game feels heavier and slower than uncharted 2, and the ak47 needs more firerate speed and please change its gun sounds OTHER THAN THAT ITS GREAT!
ALSO COULD YOU PLEASE IMPROVE WAIT TIMES ON JOINING LOBBY SEEMS LIKE IT TAKES ABOUT 10 TO 15 MINUTES EVERY TIME TO GET INTO A LOBBY AND I COULD TAKE A NAP IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT WE HAVE TO WAIT ALSO IS THERE ANYWHERE THAT YOU GUYS POST THE VIDEOS SAVED IN CINEMA SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN COMMENT ON THE VIDS? AND THE CONTROLS SEEM JUST A BIT CLUNKY AT TIMES AND I HAVE A HARD TIME GRABBING ONTO LADDERS AND LEDGES WHEN NEEDED TO TAKES THREE OR FOUR TIMES TO GET IT TO STICK THE MOVE AND THEN THERE IS THE SHOOTING THROUGH WALLS AND COVER OBJECTS AND GETTING KILLED EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE IN COVER LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PLAY THE GAME OTHER THAN THAT GREAT GAME!!!!!!! AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

Just platinumed infamous 2, I’m now playing shadows of the damned and uncharted 3 beta.. this game needs a mini map desperately.. and my system restarts when I quit the game.. wtf, thankfully its early into the beta so im hoping the glitches are fixed.. matchmaking for TDM takes forever, FFA and co op I had no problems with finding a match, speaking of co-op, its so much easier to rank up through co op that’s its practically pointless the try and rank up through TDM.. seems kinda cheap..
i loved it, i think the spas needs some improvement… i really like the buddy system but it causes camping in three team death match to in the room that the treasure chess spawns in.. why does the treasure only spawn in one place in three tdm?
Everything else is great, plz dont change the damage levels
I downloaded the UNCHARTED 3 Beta and i regretfully say that i will not be buying the next game. they took something great and made it a bit to noob friendly for me. i was playing having a good time we were fighting on the plane and then the air field and my team was winning and then it happened the thing that killed it for me. about 10 kills from winning they start a power play i become VIP my team doesn’t protect me and due to the fact that they can see where i am and that I’m worth more points we end up losing because i continually get double and triple teamed. unless they are going to make separate game modes that don’t include power plays i wont be purchasing this uncharted.
As an inverted up=down and down=up player i hated jumping in and having to pause and set it up though without my fully customizable playstation controller i couldn’t play it at all so not having a Master Control Profile as part of my psn gamer profile providing resistance level or even better like toggle on / off and inverted aim + resistance level customization.
The beta’s really showing what uncharted has achieved since among thieves …but full customization as a system
profile standard where every game would incorporate your custom layout still needs to happen.
Without it no uncharted portable for me because i can only use my control scheme.
while i like uncharted tv, i would love for there to be some minigame you could play when you’re waiting in matchmaking; perhaps a small sidescrolling-shooter minigame that earns you medals; that way we’d be able to have something to do that doesn’t require our ears so that we could talk to our friends and play similtaneously. it’s hard to talk with your friends while simitaneously watching and listening to uncharted tv, but a simple minigame would be easy to play while talking to our friends =D
PROS:
The buddy system is really good, especially when your playing split screen online.
I think that the split screen online is one of the best add-ons. I hope story mode will also have it.
I like that you can now carry the riot shield on your back. It is now very useful.
CONS:
Uncharted 3 Beta is awesome but the sprint button needs work. It seems kind of sloppy when you use it.
Like Uncharted 2, it takes awhile to get into a match on the new Beta. This needs to be fixed somehow.
Hi!, its a good game, but one thing that need to be fixed is that when selceting to quit the game, the console beeps 3 times and restarts, so thats a bug that need to be fixed, other than that it seems good, im more into FPS in 1 ST person, but it looka really incredible and gameplay are steady.
I am liking it so far. The graphics are stunning. I like the extra multiplayer modes. I just hope they have more maps than Uncharted 2. Overall I am really excited for Uncharted 3.
I haven’t had any glitches yet. But I have only played it for a couple hours so far.
I’m playing the Uncharted 3 beta, Infamous and Burnout Paradise.
I’m reading Superman, Action Comics, Superboy and Supergirl. I will add Justice League, Wonder Woman and maybe Flash and Green Lantern in September with the DC Comics relauch.
I’m so glad that they ran a beta for it it’s a big mistake that alot of games make(I’m looking at you Call of Duty) in not running a beta. This game is rittled with small bugs so I think everyone will benefit from this beta. Even with the bugs the multiplayer is great, keep it up naughty dog your on a roll.
Haven’t seen any wall-melee in action, yet.
