Cross game chat would be great but something that would be even more useful is a way to block inviatations from certain games (I’m seriously tired of receiving requests to play Black Ops when I’m playing something else)
How about something to help with all of us users that are STILL UNABLE TO PLAY L.A. NOIRE? Sony, DID YOU FIX THAT YET???
I am a very loyal player and consumer, ever since the Original PlayStation (which my father worked on the design of one of the I/Os that went into it at LSI Logic), but having to replace my beloved launch edition backwards compatible PS3 is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION. I still have my first production run PlayStation original and PlayStation 2 for crying out loud and they are more reliable than the PS3 with L.A. Noire’s causing the RLOD :(
Please Sony, I beg of you, Help thwart the RLOD issue with L.A. Noire ASAP!! Why is it that I can run Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which actively uses more CPU than L.A. Noire, like nobody’s business, but when I pop in L.A. Noire I can’t even make it through the opening cinematic without hitting the RLOD?
Please, please, please knock off all these teeny tiny tweaks and focus on BIGGER PROBLEMS!

It wont let me update…….I try over & over it keeps giving me a error message now i can not get online…WTF!!!Anyone else having this problem? I have even tried to update with a USB flashdrive but it still dont work?:(
I recently moved over from xbox to PS3, and although the cross game chat is a feature I miss, the rest of you are complaining for no reason. For the same price as an xbox, you get amazing hardware (3D ready blu-ray, bluetooth, actual hard drive you can change, a controller with a good built in battery) and a free network to play on. The XMB comes up much faster than the xbox guide, and gives you much more access to your console in game.

The whole PS3 System freezer up when i played inFamous Final Fantasy13, PSone games,and my others video games. Freezer up! What gives SONY!
An least make good update that won’t freezer up my PS3 System! That happen 20 times in one day and i am mad, i hope you fix this problem asap. And don’t give some reason like its the video games need update or something, or maybe this or this is wrong! Sony i been with you for years now as your true best Sony ultimate fan, there is no company that can beat you out.

If Sony adds cross game chat and redoes the media bar, that would be awesome. Maybe they can include it in the next update. BUT, for free.

at 518 how does xbox have to do with this? Please just don’t about xbox 360 right now, there are the wosrt systems to have i would know my mom has one and in just week her whole xbox 360 did the red or yellow light of death, xbox360 i rate it as fail. I downloaded update 3.66 and installed it ok. Played black ops online then lodded out and switched off the console. Switched it back on there and the user page at the start of the console is blank, just that wave thing graphic?
Any one able to shed some light?

Every time there’s an update, I read these zillion complaints that their ps3 is freezing, or broken. What the h*ll are you guys doing to your consoles? I’ve had the 120 slim for couple years now, I play an average of 3 hrs per day, and doing 9 hour streaks is, sadly, not uncommon for me and my console is just fine. I don’t have LA Noire yet so that might be a factor, but a few games do freeze. Not all, just a few. I get off my fat a$$ and push the button off, count to 10 and push it again. Not rocket science. I’ve never yet had to unplug but that is still a good fix for most devices. I’m suspecting you are hackers or “misdeed” & have screwed yourselves.
