Hi everyone,
First of all, welcome back and many thanks for everyone’s patience as we worked to restore the PlayStation Store! It’s been more than a month now since our last PlayStation Plus update, but with the Store back up and running we have some great announcements about free games, discounts and exclusives for Plus subscribers – all coming to you in two publishes: June 3 and June 7.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce Morgan Haro, Community Manager for PlayStation Network. Morgan joined the PlayStation team back in March and he’ll be answering your questions and offering feedback in the comments section.

Free Games and DLC
PlayStation Plus is offering the PS one title Lilo & Stitch for free on June 7, and the MAG Escalation Mission Pack add-on becomes available for free starting June 3.

Exciting Exclusives
The June 3rd publish will excite all the mixed martial arts fans out there as we kick things off with the full-game trial for EA Sports MMA Digital.

OMG I just read an article that says Escalation maps are cancelled for PS3.
I don’t understand why Sony is making something simple so complicated. Sony should have simply put $1.00 in our accounts for every day PSN was down. Then we could have bought what we wanted, and would not be waiting for our Welcome Back content. The people in charge of all this crap is less intelligent than a 5 year old.
They probably want to see how many of us are going to accidentally sign up for Playstation Plus and buy the games they’re about to giveaway before they actually give them away free. I wish they’d hurry up with the welcome back package. I seen a few things on there that I want but they are discounted for Playstation Plus members. I’m not going to pay a couple extra dollars for something if I don’t have to. So no purchases from me until the welcome back program starts.

Im sure people would get over the whole debaucle but it does seem as if SONY is rubbing our noses in it. I mean if Im correcting my kids, I have to at least follow through with the rewards when they are good. SONY doesn’t seem to be following through. The only thing this is gonna do is put more and more people against them.
Ok, here’s some info for everybody wondering about the Black Ops Escalation Pack, just a heads up.
No, it’s not canceled, and Dan Amrich, Activion’s Social Media Guy stated this morning that he’s hoping to hear more info on the release date later today, so stay tuned. At this time there is no official date of release.
Bear in mind, the timed exclusivity deal means the other system gets it all to itself for a month or so, and since it released on May 3rd, today is literally the first day it would have been available even under the best case scenario. However, I highly doubt it’s coming in today’s store publish. I’d expect next week at the absolute earliest, but that’s just speculation on my part.

id like to know why we are getting a $5 ps1 game that nobody wants when europe gets burnout paradise a ps3 version game that came out on disc originally for 60 bucks and is still valued at $20…. a little unbalanced and unfair id say even tho i already got burnout i espect alittle more than a kids game
makes me think all the fee goods they give are because they are items that nobody wants and doesnt sell much anymore… so they decide might aswell give it away and people still dont want it lol

To summarize, Activison hasn’t given anyone a official date yet, but are hoping to have some info by the end of the day.

I will grab the RE4 avatar pack, unless that’s a typo and you’re talking about the RE5 avatar pack which I bought yesterday. Nothing else is that interesting to me, if anyone hasn’t played Shank be sure to pick that up, it’s awesome! I’m not too upset about this selection cause I’ll have my hands full with Infamous 2 but I thought for the free 30 day PS+ Sony would put out some compelling content to try to hook the free temporary subscribers. Oh well.

So curious question…
I have wanted to try the Playstation Plus thing for a long time, and during the outage my wife bought me a card so I could get it (obviously once the network was back). I assumed it would be a few weeks until the whole welcome back rewards hit so I went ahead and bought three months of PS Plus this morning (about 2 hours before the rewards hit incidentally…). Now however it won’t let me add the free month to my subscription. I totally understand that I am not entitled to the free 60 days as my membership started today, but at the same time would still enjoy the extra month. I realize I likely should have waited to activate it but figured it would be awhile until the welcome back rewards hit. So am I just out of the free month or is there something I can do? If I am out of it I understand it is my fault though.
Thank you very much for the 15 days of PS+(60-45 outage days) i ll think about it when its time to renew.

Will Playstation plus ever get better so far i feel like all what its good for is the cloud saves and automatic downloads for game patches. I feel like the avatars are not that great and the best thing so far has been the themes. I would like to see some nice PSN games come to the plus section each month. I dont like the minis and ps 1 classics.It would be nice if the music unlimited could be added for us plus users.
Also shouldnt our names here on the PSN website show who is a plus user and who isnt? This should be changed.
I have a question Mr. Haro. I just downloaded the welcome back pack and I choose my two games, InFamous and Dead Nation. When I clicked on InFamous I just said add to cart, and I did the same with Dead Nation. But then when I went back to my cart only Dead Nation was there. Could you tell me what happened? Is there anyway for me to fix this? It’d be much appreciated if you replied :)
@Morgan I’m having a bit of a problem I messed up on the downloaded an pressed back/back again to exit out the playstation store, and go back to download my 2 free games after it said to downloaded a pack before that, and when i came backi noticed that i was no longer allowed to access it an i was really looking foward to buying Infamous even when i said i was gonna go buy it from the store soon which i can’t do because its summer an i’m working alot more, you guys should know the feeling. Please help it would be most useful or give me info or tips on what to do.
Hi @Morgan… Atari is not saying when (they had it for 5/31, but tweeted it would probably not make that date.. then retweeted it was not because of them, but the PSN being down) or if Daggerdale is coming to PSN… Xbox has it and it is all kinds of bugged. Do you even have it on your docket to release? Can you update us that refuse to use Xbox for mutiple platform games?

ok theres 7 pages and i dont really have the time to scroll thought so i may be repeating a question, but first off will anything downloaded from the free month of playstation plus stay on your playstation and accessible/playable when the 30 days expires? and also if i have the titles available already, will there be anything else? this is really bugging me, if it is it sounds like more of a marketing scheme then compensation for the outage?

#343 I have switched HDs and never had a password issue. I actually use the PS3 backup option to an external USB HD and had to use that HD to replace one that crashed, and it replaced the original HD flawlessly. So in my experience, no password.
#344 I know what you buy on the PSN, whether it is with a PLUS discount or not, stays on your PS3 HD (I’ve had PLUS and then stopped it and have all things I downloaded). Second I don’t see Sony adding to the Welcome back package. I too have Infamous so I just d/l it and traded in the hard copy… better than nothing.
Also @Morgan will there be a demo of Dungeon Siege III on the PS3? And I’m still waiting for any word on Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale?!? Thanks!!

I bought my PS3 in March.
The network went down in April.
My hard drive crashed last week and I sent my system in for repair.
Now that we all know that my luck stinks; how much free stuff will I miss out on before I get my machine back?
you will end up missing out on 30 free days of PS Plus, 2 free games from a list of 5 which includes, Dead Nation, InFamous, LittleBigPlanet, WipEout HD, and Stardust HD. And does anyone know if the 30 free days auto renew when it is over?
