Hi everyone,
First of all, welcome back and many thanks for everyone’s patience as we worked to restore the PlayStation Store! It’s been more than a month now since our last PlayStation Plus update, but with the Store back up and running we have some great announcements about free games, discounts and exclusives for Plus subscribers – all coming to you in two publishes: June 3 and June 7.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce Morgan Haro, Community Manager for PlayStation Network. Morgan joined the PlayStation team back in March and he’ll be answering your questions and offering feedback in the comments section.

Free Games and DLC
PlayStation Plus is offering the PS one title Lilo & Stitch for free on June 7, and the MAG Escalation Mission Pack add-on becomes available for free starting June 3.

Exciting Exclusives
The June 3rd publish will excite all the mixed martial arts fans out there as we kick things off with the full-game trial for EA Sports MMA Digital.
The June 3 publish also includes the Resident Evil 4 – 10 Avatar Bundle for $0.99, and the June 7 publish includes the inFAMOUS 2 Dynamic Theme for free!

@49 if i’m not mistaken june 8th is when the uncharted 3 mb comes only to people who pre-ordered infamous 2, or ps plus members
@mappack4mybois It is an activision title sony will let you know when activision decides to throw it on the network. hit them up or try sonys customer support….asking on the blog wont get you anywhere 99% of the time as the mods only have the info given to them and when they know the date I’m sure they will inform us.

@BLACKOPSPEOPLE You will know when The blog mods know…they get feed information as it goes down the chain and the people at the top of the black ops chain is activision then sony then misc sony ppl the customer support and blog mods….If it were a Sony title that would be different as they make the release dates and deadlines. Games not developed by sony say COD Black OPs is activision and they make the deadlines and release dates and deadlines and if sony has a date you will have better luck getting an answer at the PSN STORE site not the BLOG (Sorry for the caps I’m not yelling just want peoples attention grabbed as I am only trying to help)

@radar427 i know right.by doing that,they just make themselves look unprofessional.its really too bad that the pr cant do their job properly.the deadline being today for the escalation map pack and still no announcement doesnt make them look good either.
@radar427 They were rebuilding a network…timelines change I know from experience as I am a Network admin myself and the release of stuff on the store falls under IT dept. as it is a server connected to a WAN known as the PSN

@Null_Shock well thats not an excuse for them anymore because the psn and ps store are both back online.why cant they just update us and tell us when the map pack for black ops is coming out if not today?then again,seeing how unprofessional sony has been in the past weeks and nowadays,i doubt they even talked to treyarch.

I got better content for free around christmas, and that was only jesus’ birthday. you guys really dropped the ball on this one sony. lilo and stitch for ps1? what do you think we’re all 7? this doesn’t make any sense. are we supposed to be excited by a crappy disney game? and that aint even for another week. why bother announcing this? this is the tpe of ting that you should quietly deliver with your head down.

@NinjaNabs It is an activision title not a Sony Title…activision is the one who decides when it releases just like square-enix does theirs and same with NISA and Sony has theirs. The publishers make the deadlines and release dates not Sony…unless it is a sony title…like say iNfamous
Black Ops fanboys go troll elsewhere. You will get your beloved map pack for $15 when Treyarch is ready. I’m so sick of the complaining. Thanks PS for doing all you can to get this stuff back together. Excited for E3 and all that is to come! Keep us in the loop!
Don’t get me wrong I love finding out about new games and commemorating 10 yrs in the business is great, But SONY aren’t you getting alittle of point. I understand you guys are trying to put everything behind you, however just sweeping everything under the rug, isn’t a very good business plan. I also realize you want to get business back to normal, but posting everything, but answers dosen’t seem like you are giving the gamers any respect at all. WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND THE COURSE IT HAS TAKEN. Yes the store is back up but there seems to be numerous, upon numeous questions, and …………………no answers. No updates on the “welcome back package” and no news on all the updates supposed to be promised on the store. SONY PLAYSTATION ….IT ONLY DOES SLACKING?

I am patient and polite but others on here seem to fail at self control.

Resident Evil 4 (FOUR) AVATARS? Thats AMAZING! But theres one thing I dont understand… with so many amazing developers and great games to offer Avatars from, why does only Capcom seem to offer them? Im still waiting for the avatar pack of FF Dissidia, which is already available in Japan… Can anybody from sony tell me if we will ever get them?

Steam really blows psn out of the water when it comes to content and sales. It’s too bad.
I guess the new guy hit his quota of 24 replies so I doubt Sony answers anyones questions on this blog today. However the only answers Ive ever recieved were from the people that Ive come to be friends with here on the blog
@ninja, Ive always been squarely in the middle of this whole…NIGHTMARE. I can say that not everything was SONYS fault, However I don’t believe the real gamers did anyhting to deserve what “we” have been put through. Through this whole thing you and I have had dissagreements, but I don’t take it personally. The “hackers”, i believe singled out us gamers, not SONY. SONY has billions upon billions, us gamers, not so much(maybe some of us). The “hack ” didn’t hurt SONY as much as us gamers, in time, money, happiness, etc. The only hit SONYs wallet(a very little bit considering)

@midknight24 completely agreed.sony has to give some respect to us real gamers.they need to update us more often on whats going on rather than just update us on games we dont care about.also,they need to start meeting their deadlines when they make them.all im asking is that sony respect all of us gamers and our needs.that said,they need to stop making us wait till the last second before telling us whats going on.it just shows that theyre neglecting us.

So I have a legit question. I planned to upgrade to plus right before PSN went down. If I upgrade now, will the free 30 days tack on to the subscription as well?
And ignore the haters. Nothing is perfect and 40 days is a decent amount of time for a service that’s been running 5 years. Sadly it came at one time, but since I’m old enough to remember that Single Player gaming is still fun, it didn’t effect me (and others with rational sense) too badly.
For the record cause I’m sure aforementioned haters are going to call this a fanboy post. No I’m not happy about the entire debacle, yes I do wish different steps were made, it’s in the past. Move on or sell your ps3 to someone who will appreciate it more than you.
