Last year, we invited three hundred fans into our press conference. This year, we’re shooting for a million.
You’ve been requesting it, so for the first time, we’ll be broadcasting the entirety of the PlayStation press conference directly into this Blog. Additionally, we’re setting up a mini-studio in the PlayStation booth, and we’ll be bringing in developers while the show floor is open for interviews, live demos and to answer your questions via a built-in chat module. It all starts right here on June 6th.
UPDATE: We’ve got several hundred more entries than we’ve got spots open, so we’re cutting off the entries now. We’ll grade the papers over the next few days and contact winners by email. Thanks for entering!
Since this is an LA event, we’d still like to do something for some of our Southern California fans. Because our press conference is already at capacity, we unfortunately won’t be able to get anyone into building (again, everyone can watch the livestream right here). However, we were able to secure over one hundred 3-day passes to the E3 Expo, where attendees can visit our booth and go hands-on with NGP and our stellar PS3 lineup as a guest of PlayStation.
We want to make sure only the biggest local PlayStation fans get in, so instead of having folks queue up in the unpredictable Spring weather (as has been the case in past years), we’ve created a web quiz you can take from the comfort of [wherever you are sitting].
Here are a few things to note:
- E3 takes place from June 7-9th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, so you’ll obviously need to be in SoCal during that time to attend. Don’t bother taking the quiz if you won’t be there!
- You must be 18 or older to attend E3 – that’s their rule! Your ID will be checked when you go to pick up your badge, so if you’re under 18… don’t bother taking the quiz!
- E3 badges are non-transferable, so if you’re not sure if you’re going to be able to attend… don’t bother taking the quiz!
- The information we’re asking for (name & email address only) is required for all attendees by the ESA, who run the E3 Expo. We won’t ask for any additional info!
- We’ll grade quizzes and select winners by late next week, and contact winners via email with information on how to pick up your passes.

GET THE STORE UP!!!!!! Im done buying anymore sony products im just FN furious i cant redeem my mk codes i wish i wouldnt have bought it for ps3. Kratos isnt worth this kind of a wait I should have got it for my 360 instead!! I have scorpion millena jade and ermac codes for their clasic skins the online code and codes for avatars and themes FU sony next time I wont make the mistake of buying a game for your SH!+Y system
I wanted to ask you about the NGP. I know you can’t say much about it. But all over the web is rumors that the NGP will be called PSVita is that true? I myself prefer PSP2 or even just Vita over PSVita.
Also can you comment if the NGP got a downgrade? The other rumor is that the NGP or PSP2 would launch with 512MB but that got canceled for 256MB of ram instead. It says that the vram is still in the new system but because of costs Sony had to go with the 256MB of ram instead. Also the internal memory was taken out too. Which could have been really nice to download games off of PSN.
So even if you can’t really comment on this I hope it is fake. Because I would gladly pay a little more for a better system. Plus even if the system turns out to be called PSVita I will be picking it up day one. But I hope it is not called that.
E3 should be a good one this year. I can’t wait to see what new games will come out. Be it for the PS3 or NGP. Maybe even a Tomba or Colony Wars revival might happen. Which would be awesome.

ok now I know I’m not the only person who plays black ops on the PSN nor am I the only one Waiting for the store to come back up to tell the truth I’m frankly getting tired of waiting, it would be really nice and help full to get word on a time frame for when the PSN store will be back up that does not include the words “soon” or ” some time with in the week”, that does not help any of us who have to sit and wait. I don’t have any idea what You Sony must have to do but at least give us some thing a bit better than soon at least inform us that you are actually trying to get it back up for I have seen nothing dealing with this matter in well too long.

LOL why would anyone get a 360?? A working online marketplace to buy DLC, redeem online game passes and download previously purchased games?? Come on. The system Sony has in place now is vastly superior! They give my CC info to thieves and don’t let me download any of my previous purchases! How awesome is that????

i know this might not get replied to now but i was wondering if there were any plans to stream the press conference directly to the ps3… not like thought playstation home or anything just like a small 20 mb app that was created specifically for streaming the press conference to the ps3, i suggested this last year yet sadly i never got a reply back from anyone

this sucks, Last year you guys said you would probably do the same thing again(line of first come first serve) and me and a bunch of friends had planned a trip to do it again this year and now you guys decide to do a raffle with little to no notice, and random questions. now we can’t even enter because we didn’t get the news in time. Also I couldn’t even post in the comment section earlier today. All I got was that it was down for maintenance thanks for the disappointment. Now I have a bunch of people to call and break the news to.
Hopefully the PSN is up by then i’ve wanted to buy some classic titles on there for months

Nobody cares about E3! As if anybody here is actually going to go to Cali to be there. Or, does anybody actually care to watch it? Especially if the Store is back up by then. Hi, I just have one question, the PSN store is not back up yet, so that means once it does, we´ll be able to download the free two titles???
Drpound35 E3 is the biggest gaming event of the year where companies reveal new games coming out and other technology related to gaming or electronic entertainment….of course we care. now stop worrying about the store it will be up when its up everyone complaining/whining/or writing it in caps over and over isn’t going to get it up and running any faster. So please just talk about games thats why we are all here….We are gamers my friend. Time for everyone to start acting like gamers again and not whiny children….seriously where is everyones gamer pride?
