Gobble Up Great PS3 Deals on Black Friday

79 0

The team at PlayStation wanted to give you something to look forward to other than the standard turkey and stuffing this Thanksgiving. That’s why we’ve been working hard with retailers across the U.S. to put together some incredible PlayStation 3 bundles that offer something for everyone, from hardcore games to all-in-one entertainment solutions.

Its been a big year filled with many choices for PlayStation fans. In addition to introducing must-have exclusives like God of War III, ModNation Racers and of course Gran Turismo 5, we also packed PSN with everything from sports to your favorite movies and TV shows and added the new PlayStation Move motion controller to our hardware family. What’s more, we made sure that PS3 owners were the first to receive access to stereoscopic 3D entertainment from Blu-ray movies to games! With the holidays upon us we want to ensure that we keep the choices coming.

That’s why this Friday, across many of your favorite local retailers, you’ll be able to find the 160GB PS3 system packaged with everything from a selection of this season’s hottest games to the latest Blu-ray movie releases. We worked closely with retailers to ensure that we provided you with an option tailored to meet your entertainment needs. Whether you’re looking for a package you can enjoy with your gaming friends or something more suitable for a family get-together, we’re confident there’s a bundle out there for you.

  • Are these the prices and packs for Christmas too?
I am getting it next month…
    I like the Gamestop pack.
I am getting the Best Buy one b/c i got some giftcards..

  • To the guy complaining about advertising, SONY has terrible advertising for its games, Ms is everywhere, barely see any SONY marketing. Its another reason PS3 is still trying to claw out of third place after being dominant with the ps2. Sony marketing = atrocious.

  • PS, until sony has a 249 or 199 modle, it will stay in third place, and needs more advertising.

  • we dont need a a ps3 we need games -__-

  • oh Sony, u and your make money fast schemes. You never cease to amuse me :)

  • You’re doing retailer specific bundles in limited quantities again this year? Your competetors have pack in games in all consoles every holiday and they fly off store shelves.

Can’t you take a hint and make pack in games standard every holiday? I mean seriously, tou need to hire someone to be VP of smacks upside the head everytime a stupid decision is made.

  • Dammit, why can’t I make a blog post without typos in it. Oh well my point still stands. enough with this limited quantities nonsense and make this stuff standard already.

  • i already have ps3 where are my deals

  • Oh and some of the pictures don’t match up with the description.

For the Target Bundle: It specifies “one black Dualshock 3 Wireless controller”, All systems come with a DS3 so is this a second controller? If so the picture doesn’t show two DS3’s like the Sams Club bundle does(which is the only other bundle that specificly mentions including a DS3).

For the Gamestop Bundle: The picture shows a Bluray remote but the description doesn’t mention a bluray remote and the sticker on the PS3 box doesn’t have a Bluray remote pic on it. The Sams Club bundle Mentions the Bluray remote in the description, has the remote in the picture and the remote is on the sticker on the PS3 box.

  • i just bought the new 320gb ps3 yesterday. i went into system info and saw that it said the free space it has was 263/298 ..umm thats nowhere near the 320gb it said to contain. thats nearly 60gb missing even if some of it is for the software already installed

  • Gamestop, Amazon, and Best Buy are the best. And DANG! I should’ve waited to buy my PS3 now… [DELETED].

  • oh wow

  • I’d really enjoy getting a Playstation Move/Eyepet bundle for Christmas.
So many deals! The best PS3 games (LBP, GOW, Uncharted 2, ModNation) in bundles!
How much does all this set you back Sony? A few grilled cheese sandwiches and a Dr. Pepper or two?

  • lol why dont they just have the system cheap instead of putting stuff in it and keeping it the same price.

  • amazing deals, if I didnt already have ps3, id definitely go for these!

  • where is my GT5 bundle? or COD black ops bundle with the 320 system 2 controls and nothing else! i don’t need movies i can buy the ones i want. a $20 psn card? just take $20 off the price. I wouldn’t mind if it had the eye/move controls as the second controler

  • I like the Wal-Mart one the best.

  • don’t know why you guys would post something like this. most people have a ps3 that read the blog.

  • Well I hope your playing attention to the above comments Tim Bender. Also I looked in that papers while eating my thanksgiving turkey, K-mart and pamida (sp) had a bunch of the games listed in their ads, but none and I mean NONE of the games shown were ps3, they may be on sale but no one would know… really what are you guys doing Mr. Sr.VP of sales, what is this strategy? you don’t have to get a clue I’m (were) giving it too you… also the ONLY place I’ve seen these PS move ads have been during Sunday football, I don’t remember seeing any tonight.. you know when EVERYONE is at home…with the family eating and watching T.V.

  • And don’t forget the deals on PSN games: http://www.deals4downloads.com/games/dealsbyshop/sony-psn.

    DeathSpank is mine:)

  • i did not see any ps move bundle just the regular one…
I was waiting for some good deal to get mine, but maybe next time.

  • I agree that P3 really needs to come up with a better Move sales deal for today but now if you look for the Kinect, you can’t find it anywhere online. You have to find it in the stores, if they have them. P3 has Moves available in a lot of local and online stores. That’s a plus. They aren’t manipulating the costs by holding back available quantities on the product. I have respect for that. I can get 2 Moves, a Navigation controller, plus a 20.00 game for just the price of the Kinect alone. Don’t need the cam.I want the Kinect but I don’t think they have a market strategy I want to deal with. Seems like the WII nightmare all over again. Besides, I can’t wait for the Sorcerer to come out for the Move. It looks fun.

  • Too bad the online WalMart deal is actually 349.99, and not 299.99 like it says everywhere else. False marketing folks, was planning on getting that bundle. Not paying 349.99 though.

  • @zashakleb hope you have a huge house because the 6 to 8 feet per player on the kinect is pretty laughable.

  • @ Zombi123 Well, heck.Who needs a couch anyway. We should be standing up. If my in laws aren’t here I should have plenty of room.

  • The Walmart bundle looks the best to me, if only I didn’t already buy a ps3.

  • Just a heads up. Amazon is not honoring their Black Friday Bundle which was offered on their site. They have secretly changed their listing to downgrade the Uncharted 2: GOTY to the standard edition of Uncharted 2.

After speaking with their support for well over an hour, I was not only called a “liar”, but told that there was nothing that could be done about it.

  • @DreadPirateJ Amazon had the game of the year version of Uncharted 2 bundle the day I ordered it, but I received the regular version. The first rep told me to send the entire bundle back for a refund, second rep said there was no game of the year version of the item, third email I received gave me a $10 credit to pre-order the games I don’t want, forth email said “we have offered you the $10 credit, there is nothing else we can do about it”.
What really upsets me is that many people have received up to $60 credit or get the game of the year edition of Uncharted 2 for free as a make up. Why some other people have to be treated unfairly? This blog post proves that I did not lie. Amazon did advertise it as game of the year version.
