Since NASCAR is going to be in Gran Turismo 5, is there going to be any Cross-promotion for the NASCAR race the weekend before GT5 comes out? or is that Classified Infomation at the moment? because I would really like to know, because I’m not a huge NASCAR fan, but I’m a HUGE GT fan. and I’m just wondering.

Will Kingdom Hearts BBS be on the PSN network the week of it’s PSP UMD release? Please I am begging to hear something more official as well as countless others i’m sure who own a PSP GO and if it’s not what is the reason or hold up?

By the way, I’d like to know if Sony plans to implement closed-captioning or subtitle for tv shows and movies? It is quite not fair to deaf community and subtitle lovers community alike that this option is not being offered. Sony mentioned in 2007 that they are going to look into “this matter”. I’d like to know if they can make this into a reality…??? Please say YES!
Random fact: My dad has a master’s degree in Deaf Studies from Gallaudet University.
I haven’t heard any updates on this topic, but I’ll mention it. Netflix streaming video and iTunes only support a few subtitled movies, so this seems like a widespread issue that will likely improve for all as online video services evolve.
do sony of america make playstation implement decisions or do they just get orders from japan and translate it to us. what country came out with the ps plus idea??
Cool Stuff. Mass Effect 2 on PS3 pretty much made my entire week. Sure Resistance is awesome, and another ratchet game is Rad, but i’ve been waiting for this to come to ps3 FOREVER! I hope you guys get Bioware onto the blog sometime, I can’t wait to hear more~
Any chance we can get a confirmation that the PSP2 isn’t getting a UMD drive and that the unit will be backward compatible with PSP PSN downloads? I hate to keep buying UMDs for particular titles if I cna’t continue to play them on PSP2.

Man… I gotta get to level 60 in MAG before the beta comes out so i can just play the beta with no worries. Im level 57 right now. Im also insanely pumped for infamous 2 and Castlevania:Lords of Shadow.
I was hoping for a Mass Effect 2 post this week. Try to get Bioware here on the blog to talk about it.
I was pretty disappointed with that PS+ post announcing Mushroom Wars for next week. The games announced don’t bother me, but what does is that since Critter Crunch first went up as part of Plus (which I’m guessing marked the beginning of the second month) we haven’t seen a single avatar, dynamic theme, or piece of add-on content even though this content was promised right here on the blog’s PS+ FAQ. As someone who signed up more for those items than the PSN games, it’s extremely disappointing to not get that content. What’s worse is the lack of any acknowledgment from Sony on the issue. I’m not usually one to complain on the Blog, but I think this issue deserves a response seeing as how I paid for the service.
And finally, for some reason, after posting a comment, it takes up to 24 hours to actually show up. I don’t get a “your comment is awaiting moderation” message or anything like that so I don’t know what the issue is. Can someone look into this issue?

To commenter #25, the answer is really simple, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT MAKE THE GAME. That is why they are telling you to email the developer. Is that really a hard conclusion to come to? Or are you being dense on purpose?
I was actually surprised not to hear about a firmware update at GamesCom this year. Last year it was said that FW 3.0 was the last big update of 2009, so I was hoping to hear about one this year. I’m always happy to hear about improvements on the console side of things. Maybe we’ll hear something at TGS? Keep up the good work. Good to see PlayStation kicking butt.

@Sid, you are playing Top Gun? IGN gave it 4.5/10. Apparently the gameplay is dated and the music repetitive and annoying. Hard to argue because as usual there is no demo.
Seems there are much better games on XBLA this summer. Sony really need to lift their game when it comes to PSN releases, maybe be a bit more selective, search out some gems at indie games competitions.

That’s a double standard. People will complain if there are a lot of mediocre games while they’ll complain if good releases are few and far between. Takes about a year’s worth of visiting this blog to learn why PS Blog staffers can’t answer your question.
i got the ps3 slim like in June and just this morning the my PS3 started saying error and that i was sign out of PlayStation Network, i thought that was already fixed
