It’s been a long time coming, but after years of hard work, everyone here at Zipper Interactive is happy to announce that MAG, our 256-player shooting juggernaut – and our first PlayStation 3 game – has officially made it to stores all over North America and parts of Asia – with releases due out in Europe, Japan, and Korea later this week.
If you haven’t seen MAG in action for yourself, or you have seen it and you just like awesome trailers, then you owe it to yourself to watch our launch video below.
As great as it is, that trailer is just a sampling of the action, scale and insanity that MAG brings to the table – as scores of you are already finding out for yourselves, with roughly four new players joining the MAG universe every second!

Lost to SVER in dominator in 15mins they broke all barriers and turrets on the outside in 3 minutes then we held out for a little longer. SVER is completely unfair half a clip of RAVEN machine gun goes into SVER soldier SVER lives 2 bullets of SVER gun go into RAVEN soldier RAVEN dies. Epic fail.
Btw RAVEN and Valor people are getting very very peeved. EXTREMELY peeved no one cna beat SVER in domination and everyone only faces SVER. Never Valor.

Great, so next Friday when I start up my EU copy for a worldwide game I will probably have some US nitwitt in charge of my squad, a US pumbah in charge of my platoon and on top of that some pesky US teen thinking he’s in charge of it all…thank you Zipper;)

Its unlikely Zipper will fix the game. They don’t understand what goes into quality gaming, so MAG will likely suffer from Zipper’s inability to adapt to change and failure.
Zipper only fixes useless, inconsequential things like animations and level caps. Never anything gameplay changing. Good luck with your broken game MAGgers. See you in Bioshock 2?

Good to see you back from IGN. Glad to see your working on games now! MAG is awesome. Got it day one and its all I have played since. One question though… Will there be DLC? Theres very few guns, and I would totally pay any price for a few more. Whatdaya’ Think?
I’m little disappointed with the game so far. I was in all levels of the beta and I did enjoy it. So far out of most of the games I’ve played on surpression I get dropped into a game with 20 seconds left in the game and then depending on the team I loose or win. This needs to be fixed, also on the first game I played when I told it to bleed out the system froze and I had to hardboot the PS3.

this game is really cool. i bought it yesterday but the only problem i see with this game is if your internet is unreliable like mine is it makes the game a pain to play. i play mw2 and get booted cause my internet sucks. so if you have a week connection do not waste you money. but otherwise i find this game alot of fun

at #13 there are thousands upon thousands of ppl online like the moment it came out. this game sold soo many copies. it was insane. this game will be an amazing addition to ps3. (it will hopefully make the ps3 much more popular.)

MR. Dunham Why focus on a different game when you already have one that is very successful and has made lots of money. You are going to lose a lot of loyal fans on Socom if you do not start to do something about Socom: Confrontation. Go on the Socom forums for once instead of going on MAG forums and look at all the opinions we have for Socom. You are focusing on a game that in the long run is going to fail big time because the game is so repeditive, all you do is spawn and die every five seconds in MAG. Focus on a new Socom, a game that will actually make you a lot of money in the long run rather than the first month or two the game is out.

One thing I’d like to see more of is a global sense of the shadow war story. Periodic cutscenes, more specific mission voiceovers, maybe even high-lighting recent victories in-game. There’s a lot Zipper could be doing to give the feel of a story/campaign without having a specific single-player mode.
Played the beta, but being a PS3 game… I will wait 6 months to buy it since it will take them at least that long to get it to play properly.
