Here’s an update about the status of the MAG Public Beta email vouchers. The first wave of voucher codes for the MAG Beta will be e-mailed to all current Qore subscribers beginning today and continuing over the next few days. Follow the instructions so that you’ll be ready to download the Beta and jump in when the test starts this Thursday, September 17. The email subject line will be:
“You’re in: Welcome to the MAG Beta”
And, the email voucher will look like this:
Remember, you only have 4 days left to get in on the action as the Public Beta entry deadline for Qore subscribers is this Thursday, September 17. Please allow at least 5 business days for delivery once you subscribe.
Qore subscribers will have access to the MAG Beta Test from September 17 through November 8. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10am-1pm and 5-8pm Pacific (PDT).
Once again, here are the eligibility requirements:
- The Qore MAG Beta offer is open to Qore subscribers only, not to single episode purchasers.
- All Beta invitations are restricted to persons 18 years and older.
- We must have your current, valid e-mail address on file.
- You must be opted in to receiving communications from PlayStation.
- Vouchers will be sent to the e-mail associated with the PSN account that purchased the Qore subscription, not to any sub-accounts.
You can update your e-mail address and check your notification preferences via your profile on PS.com or on the PS3 itself under Account Management/Account Information. Be sure that you have “opted in” to receive our communications.
We hope you enjoy the MAG Beta, and don’t forget to leave your feedback at Beta Central by following the instructions in the voucher e-mail. As this is a Beta is a work-in-progress and not representative of the final game, your input is vital.

I would first like to thank you for the MAG Beta invitation I received. Thank you! I am very happy to be a part of the Beta. I do have two concerns which I would like to address. I am not only excited to play the game but also be part of the MAG central forum but as of this moment I do not have access to forum. Unfortunately, I also can not currently play the game because my PS3 has been downloading for about 12 hours and is currently at 80% downloaded. Is this an unusual case or are other users downloading within the same time frame?

my playstation is still on, i had to leave it on while i went to work, i went home for lunch and it was only at 40 percent that was 4 hours later, it does take some time

Hey, I’ve received my Qore subscription Beta code but it says it’s invalid when I enter it. I’ve re entered it a bunch of times with no success…the Beta is active now right?

Also the reason I didn’t contact them when I didn’t get the Uncharted 2 beta code in June, was because I had already gotten a code from a friend who was also a qore subscriber and had the free code from Infamous.
So not receiving one was not a big deal to me.

OMFG!!!!! When my wife was checking the email, she didn’t really read the subject line, she kinda just saw the “You’re in” part and thought it was some kind of a scam. I saw this and asked her if she had seen an email like that and she said yes and had deleted it. You guys can check that I have been a Qore subscriber since before the 17th and that I got it. Can you please resend it?
Been downloading for 4 hours, and I’m stuck at 99%!!
I have now filed it with Customer Support/ Services. I hope that this works, as I have been wanting to try this game out.

yes the beta is up, for the code it does say case sensitive, but if that still doesnt work and your using case sensitve i would call or email playstation about that

I’m about to give up. I keep getting to 20% and then it disconnects, and makes me start over again. I’ve been trying to download it all day, and I’ve restarted 5 or 6 times. This is crap.

Thank for this very long awaited opportunity to play such a groundbreaking game. The only thing is my update had just passed the 7 hour mark 2495mb/2660mb downloaded and i think i lost the connection. I have broadband also im so bummed out tied up playstation for 7-9 hrs and it crashes at the very end boohoo. any suggestions

I have now contacted Sony for the second time and am hoping to get a response that actually answers what is going on. I ordered Qore on the 6th of this month, am 30, and have had contact with Sony through my email within the last 24 hours so don’t say the email is invalid. Since I did contact them yesterday I am giving it a little time.

I got my MAG Beta code and entered it tonight but it didn’t work. I double checked it, all the right numbers all the right caps letters in all the right places, but it still will not work. I did the contact customer sevice thing. What I like to know is how long till I can get a new code or should I keep trying this code or maybe there is a third choice. Please help me. Thank You.
Someone said that we need to be more patient, not to act so childish, but in my opinion the only person’s who act like that are the persons who are responsible for MAG beta. The idea wasnt so bad but the final result is one joke, hundreds of ppl try to download the beta client for eternity, not saying that even when they download it , its impossible to play. Atleast they should make the beta codes active a week before the beta start so the ppl could download the client without making the problems for others, i presume that the download server and game server are the same or on the same “line”.
I dont know how the closed beta looked like but open is one logistic joke. No offence to the producers of the game, but its hard to believe that You wasnt expecting this to happen?…. Plus the thing with the server working hours? Ok, why not , but at least they should work when someone would like to download the client :/ Like me…40% for 4hours.

WHY DID I NOT RECEIVE A BETA INVITATION???
I have not received my voucher for the mag beta and I subscribed long ago. I never received the uncharted beta either.
I checked many times that both boxes are checked to allow mail and I get messages from playstation but no beta’s whats up.
do I not qualify because I am canadian?

Afret not receiving the uncharted beta if I do not get the mag beta I will not be renewing my subscription to Qore.
Please let me know why I do not get beta or why no other canadian qore subscriber I know has either.
I never received uncharted beta and have never been told why of was issued one upon mot receiving it.
I really hope it just late and not a repeat of the last time as I subscribed long before either beta was offered.

I am a Qore subscriber since Nov. 2008 and I am still waiting for my code. I do receive regular email notifications from Sony on store contents and other products, so I am sure my email address on record is correct. Anything I need to do so solve this asap?

Is there a place I can download the 2.6 GB update via my computer and transfer to a flash drive?? I’ve been trying for 16+ hours and worried I’ll get YLOD if I keep my PS3 on any longer…it keeps booting me offline and each time I have to start over from scratch. Issues like these kept me from buying Socom, b/c there were so many beta issues.
is there any way possible for the runners of the beta to fix the dowloading update problem where when you d/c or something you have to start back at 0%, for us people with not the greatest internet or good routers its nearly impossible to get into the beta plus with the 6GB next week…is there any news at all if the MAG admin will fix this cause it is a beta and this is a problem any info what so ever would be greatly appreciated.

I did not care about uncharted aside from the fact it was promised and not delivered.
Mag is a different story Mag is the only upcoming game aside from MW2 that interests me.
I am a Qore subscriber and enjoy Qore and recommend it to friends.
But like I said above if I do not receive a voucher for this beta I am done with Qore.
And seriously how come no other canadian I have talked has received it either.

oh people from europe you could have got a beta by simply going and entering your info it was 1st come 1st serve 16000 available codes I am not sure if there are any left since the forum I am a member of advertised it pretty well.
