  • Ok.

    1. When are Europe getting the friggin’ Video Store? Seriously. And I don’t mean the UK store. I mean the EU one. ALL of us.

    2. When will we get our hands on the sexy FF7?

    Thanks!

    – Sagge

  • thank you thank you thank you all i can say

  • Thanks, nice update. But the transparency affect of the tiles makes it hard to read what things are…

  • Purchased FFVII.

I like the look of the store now too.

  • FINAL FANTASY SEEEEEEEEEEEEVEN!! I’m from Europe but hell I downloaded it and its so awesome on the PSP! Really everyone out here should download it, even though you own the game (like me) you won’t regret it! Please bring more of these classics to the PSN Sony especially with the PSP Go coming soon. Love ya!

  • Bought FFVII thanks sony, keep up the good work

  • i keep hearing a rumor that sony will announce a new game today and it seems its big , i hope is syphon filter , bend studios was at e3 i thought they were gonna announce the game , oh man , or could it be wardevil???? lol , i’ll wait and see what happens

  • I still have the original FF7 cds I bought back in 1997 and have played it on my psp using remote play. I think I definately want to buy this version so that I don’t have to remember to leave the cd in my PS3 and because remote play can be a little laggy. My question for any one who knows is this: will my save game files from the cd version work with the downloaded version? Thanks.

  • Where’s the LAST GUARDIAN TRAILER???

  • just a little issue i have here:

at the E3 2009 storefront, white text on white background does not work. cant see what im reading. better fix that

  • FFVII yay!!!

  • I have a suggestion for the Playstation Store…How about having a separate section for all the PSP stuff, just like you do for all the video/movie/tv content? I don’t have a PSP and jumbling all the content together for two systems is a little confusing to me.

  • classic final fantasy 7 on ps3 wooooooohooooo

  • FF 7 = WIN!

  • AvoidTalkingMice

Dont really understand why FF7 is 10 and not the normal 6, other than exploitation.

  • I’m lovin’ the E3 coverage!

Keep up the great work guys!

  • @davivman

I haven’t tried this with FFVII, but I do know that the other PSone classics I’ve purchased from the Store (Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Jumping Flash) work with the game save files from my original PSone memory cards. You just need to have that $14 memory card adaptor for the PS3 that reads the card. Or, I suppose, you can find and download a save file from the Internet. But it should work.

  • @156 I’m sorry but I hope for a RPG!!!

  • SOOPERGOOMAN187

WOW What a Day, Man you Folks at Sony sure surprised the heck outta me. I must say that I am overly PLEASED about everything that i saw yesterday. How you going to top that today, Maybe talk about the PSP GO Advanced Remote Play? Or the whole syncing of a DS3 to the PSP Go? Maybe a hands on in GT 5? Either way it was a nice ride yesterday. Stayed up till this morn. (4 hours Sleep) and now I’m back online on the tube and in Home again.

Yesterday was the longest amount of time I’ve spent in Home since the Closed beta. Than you for making some of my dreams come true. Keep up the GREAT WERK and Here’s to a very prosperous year. Sony you are still King, no matter what anyone else would say. And Thank You to My INSIDER at Sony Japan. Thank you for the info about Go so many months ago.( I told them I would thank them on here.)

  • The_Punisher111

I saw the store the other day. Im wondering if the PS Store is gonna have that new design just for the week of E3, or forever.

  • Jack Tretton seems like a really nice guy, he did a great job, i liked Microsoft idea with the project natal, but i think your motion controler will ultimately be the best especially in low light conditions, and as for your games line up, it’s top notch, you guys did a great job, congratulations Sony. keep up the good work!!

  • The new Store interface SUCKS! The sounds are dorky and when you hit Square to put it in list mode instead of icon mode you can’t even read any of the text on the items because it’s white on brighter white! Who designed such a horrible mess? And worse, who tested it??

  • @166 android66:

Thanks, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. I have the memory card adapter and have already backed up all my old ps1 and ps2 memory cards. It looks like I am good to go for some portable lag free FF7!

  • The Last Guardian plz

  • FF7 in US!? FINALLY!!!

  • CerealKiller Emerald was a joke ruby was kind of challenging but nothing over the top.

Rustlinpeace it is the remake but you get added CS for cloud and some better translations.

From a collector’s point of view FFVII just went up in price due to this, just like when the greatest hits version was released. So everyone wins.

Too all the EU players complaining go to https://blog.eu.playstation.com/ and voice your concerns.

Nothing to download other than trailers, got FFVII on disc so do not have to pay a dime. Got all squaresoft games from ps and ps2 in good condition :) . Although i wouldn’t mind seeing Bushido Blade 2(clipping and graphically errors made this game so unplayable) redesigned and thrown on to psn.

  • WHY ONLY US & CANADA…… you talk abouth world wide sells and stuff …. yet you only give access to video store to US or Europe if you are there what about the other people everywhere!!!! please go world wide FOR REAL!!

  • Transparency + Brightness makes the E3 2009 section almost impossible to read. Good content, though.

  • Question about FFVII:

Does the lack of a second analog stick make the game annoying to play on the PSP? Or does it make any difference?

I’ve never played FFVII, so I’m not even sure if it ever used two sticks.

    Thanks for the info!

  • OMG FF7, and Medal of Honor for PSone classics? Good job Sony! Thanks for the PSP love!

Also I’m downloading some more E3 trailers as we speak, and I hope the PSP gets even more killer games! 2009 is year of PSP! Not PS3! HA!

  • Very impressed. I still want more though. Don’t hold back!

  • Lots of good this year from all three companies, however the one thing Sony missed the boat on was the real theme of E3; community involvement. Both Microsoft and Nintendo announced Facebook integration in some form, but I notice it very lacking from the Sony camp.

Granted you can probably access it from the web browser, that’s beside the point. It needs to be a mainstay, not a periphery. Put it on the XMB. Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM, Hulu, Netflix, and a host more services. Sony doesn’t always need to keep it in house. Partnerships benefit everyone in some way, and social networking is very much the face of gaming this gen. It’s the reason why XBL is such a powerhouse in that regard.

Awesome PSN update this week. I’m loving that the store hasn’t gone a week without a PSOne title in quite a while, so keep that up for sure. (I want Einhander…)

  • Please tell me that Sony’s press conference @E3 2009 will be available for download in the PS Store!! It was epic!

  • AWESOME UPDATE!

  • FFVII for $9.99? $5 cheaper than i thought :D

    hopefully i wont have to work so long today and i can download some of these trailers ^.^;

  • Lil_Mermaid_Girl

PS1 games with trophies would be soo much fun. I can’t see myself going back to play a game I’ve already played with outdated graphics (no matter how good the game is), without some kind of new content or features (trophies would fix that). So I’ll pass on old games for now and save my money for newer things like Fat Princess when it comes out.

  • Best E3 ever!!!

    Keep it up Sony!

  • @178
Idiot. If you can read English, you’d notice THE NORTH AMERICAN BLOG. Go to the Europe blog for gods sake.

  • Awesome updates, can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings.

I have a quick suggestion on the new store interface – It is extremely hard to read the text in the transparent interface boxes… White text on a white background??? Please make the link boxes a solid color instead of transparent or take away the white background so I can see what I am downloading. Thanks!

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you

FF7 day one purchase right here. Keep them coming and I will keep buying them.

  • u crazy jeff.

Btw about the E3 page on PS store.. well first of all, i LOVE the new look for PS store, just want to say the E3 page is bad because the background is all white and you cant even see what you are selecting, or reading because the text is white :( :(

  • Everybody wanted it and it’s Finally here. Now I can say you guys are the shizznitt!!!!

  • I just wanted to chime in about the New PSN Store interface-

I agree that the backgrounds are far too light, which makes some things difficult to read.

  • Any news when we can see the new games rolled out in the UK PSStore?

  • when you’ll release the full conference?
I want to watch it again on my ps3 :D

  • @180: Analog sticks aren’t used for playing FFVII.

  • PS3 system software is falling sooooo behind the competition. I wish Sony would listen…

  • I’m probably way too far down the page for somoene to answer but does ANYONE know if the Final Fantasy VII download works with existing PSX saves stored on the PS3???

  • On PSN store update. Nice new theme, backgrounds being bright make some stuff way too hard to read. Also the new robotic sound effects aren’t very good.
