  • @ 44 one netfix movies look and sound like crap sorry but true and two if you go to your ps3 setting you will see sony will have some kind of netfix service . i dont rent movies or shows i just buy them new blu ray is the way to go plus everone forgeting play tv .

  • Why are there a lot of studios without a storefront?

  • Thinking that they would just steal your movies off of you. Grace running around with a stocking over her head. :)

Just like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, you go out and sing around a tree and they bring it back.

  • I just paid 20$ to netflix. I average around 17 movies per month(dvd mailers). Sony that could be 240$ a year in your pocket. I don’t stream movies on netflix because I’m a linux user & haven’t installed moonlight yet, but find myself watching online movies alot.
This kills me. My wife wants an +bo+ or ruku for Christmas just for netflix. She loves how easy it is to watch a movie. I’ve shown her the PS store. Help me out! That said I am a proud tux guy don’t let me down…

  • Very nice that the PSN store is getting day and date video releases. I will be picking up the Blu-Ray version though.

Also, it is a shame that Sony doesn’t want to support Netflix. Give the users a choice and access to the content, or at least coax Netflix to support the browser. I find it very interesting that it is stated that we want to “own our content” when the DRM doesn’t even allow you to re-download your content if you needed to. The DRM with the video store will keep me away from purchasing anything.

  • The Dark Knight is finally here!

  • great to see that the store is being updated hot on the heels of DVD/blu ray releases! makes the movies more readily available and that more enticing. I think. thanks for Dark Knight but I have to own it on blu ray.

    peace,
    Lh

  • @ #9 Grace.
Actually, he was talking about the Universal Media Disc…
Also, I’ll stick with buying blu-ray. No way am I going to buy from PSN…

  • Subscription
    5 million ps3 attach
    20 a month
    100 million a month
    1.2 billion per year

    The layoffs
Sony said it will curtail investments, farm out production and move away from unprofitable businesses by March 2010 to save more than 100 billion yen ($1.1 billion) a year.
    How ironic!

  • yeah thanks for update… but no subtitle or closed captioning??? I want watch some videos from PSN but no subtitles and closed captioning, I am disappointed.

  • I really want to know when is the video store coming to:

CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA, CANADA?

  • wow the psn store is getting better and better each tuesday that passes by… thanks for the update… any word if the video will be download again, once you bought them… if my ps3 crashes, i’m not going to rebuy all those movies again… now that would be a waste of time and money…

  • Is there any news as to when the Video store will be available outside of the US, namely north of the border?

  • SONY IS FAILING TO SATISFY US.
