If you’ve applied for the PlayStation Home closed beta, but have yet to receive an invite, you may want to check your inbox again as we’re opening PlayStation Home’s expanded closed beta again to thousands of new beta testers. The closed beta test is going quite well, so please don’t sweat if you didn’t make today’s list, as this wave of invitations will be followed by many more before our launch into open beta.
Since the initial wave of new invitations went out a few weeks ago, we’ve been having an incredible amount of fun in PlayStation Home meeting each other, launching into games together, and dancing the night away by Listen@Home! this is my first time using the blog but i have a complainant anyway
i was told that the extended home beta was going to be given to those who are most active in the psn and their activity in the psn store. but i my self have spent nearly 20x what one of my friends has he ended up with it before me why is that? although i havent spent as much as my good friend kane he has spent almost $1000.00 dollars in the playstation store and has more than 30 blu-ray games so tell me why this is was i lied to or is this some cheap shot by you guys at sony if i dident know better i would buy an x-box but microsoft sux as it is anyway.

Do they send invites every week? Is the people that are choosen to get an invite random or do they just pick who is more active and buys stuff in the ps store?
i know im late with this comment, so i hope someone can reply to me. The reason why i was late with this comment is because i was waiting for a mail from playstation.com saying im invited to Playstation Home but i guess im not. I knew Playstation Home was coming out before i had Playstation 3, and that is the main reason why i gave up xbox 360 to buy a PS3. Then i was thinking want if u lost my email address and thats why i did not get any type of mail from you, so just in case if you did lost my email address, this is it Rsdlq@aol.com. and my PSN is BIGxDADDYxJAY@PSN.com…..lol (@PSN.com is not real but the words before it is)

I never said Sony owed me anything, you said Sony owed me something. Did I voice my displeasure of not being invited, of course. Did I say it was part sour grapes on my part, yes I did. But I never said, or implied that because I play 10-12hours a day, Sony owed this too me because I played that many hours every day.
Do I think Sony should have picked me? I would like to say yes, but I won’t say Yes. Because for everyone of me, their are others who play probably 18 hours a day, and have every single download they have put on the PSN. So many may be possibly more deserving.
BUT that being said, I would sure hope that Sony would look upon those who, as they EVEN said, were active users on the PSN, and big PS3 players. I do play/use my PS3 for about 10-12 hours a day, and that I have a couple of PSN games.
But I also stated why I thought Sony needed to alter their parameters on sending out the invites. I gave my example with the 3 people I know who got the invites, what they have done on the PS3, and how little they use it, or get online. As did many other people, who they know, got the invite, and rarely try out HOME.
My burden is the fact that almost every game I play ends up not having an online option. I have around ten PSN games, I sell video games for a living and I take all the RLS tests the day they come out. I swear I’m a good candidate for a beta, even if my resume doesn’t jump out at you at first glance.
I suppose it’s coming soon either way. I hereby give a shout out to everyone else who’s waiting…patiently or otherwise.
i wasnt going to say anything and let it be but after reading blog 407 comment i begin getting upset. look dont take this wrong but people like you and others here get me fire up just because you been playing 18 hr a day or a playstaion fan for so many years do not give you any right to be frist in line or the right to have any new bata that come out.plus its getting real old when guys like you say am going to buy a 360 evertime when you dont get your way. its a closed bata! what part you dont get. if any of you got it like me fine if you didnt wait for your email or when the full game come out but please dont act like a lil baby and take your ball home.yes you do have the right to comment, yes you can buy a 360 , wii whatever but dont write here or playstation and tell them or us if they dont do this then am going to do that . its like telling the one you marry to that if you dont cook me dinner am going to my ex house, if your ex was that gud you would already be there, just like if the 360 was so gud you would be playing it now. look grow up wait for the full game and injoy if you cant do that then buy whatever you want we the other blogger and playstation dont want to hear about it .

stfu i read that sony is baseing this open beta was going to being given to the people that are most active no i would never by the crap box 360 forget that i dont want to get into every beta as for home it is an extended closed beta sony shouldent have anounced this almost 2 years ago and we still dont have it they need good accurate beta testers that will blog about what people want in home that and any problems it may i know if i got the beta that HOME IS NOT PERFECT you would have to be stupid to think it would be i know sony wont release home unless it is almost perfect because x-box would have a field day showing that spmething that makes sony look like crap for their own gain i just hope playstation does something before tuesday or x-box will rub their update in sonys face even though it looks like a cross between psn home and wiis miis

Man, they meant a lot of things, not just playing a lot online, it could be time of purchase of the system, amount of demos, themes, wallpapers, games downloaded (including dates of download–>if you downloaded them right when they made them available for example…).
Who knows what else, the thing is, it wasn’t for all, besides it’s just a beta, the options are limited, it’s not even a demo, go use it in your friend’s house as many of us don’t have that option, and that’s it wait for the full featured release and don’t worry about a beta.

I Should be the only one getting the beta
I really want to get an invite too, but I have been thinking, there are so many people in the world trying to get an invite that the chance of me getting an invite is extremely small. However, I will keep my hopes up.
Even with all the bugs in the game I would still play it. Has there been any update on if it will really be released by at firmware 2.5?

Wow lets see if it comes out in 2008. I am saying no there will be another beta with them saying it looks amazing but no release. If it is out before 2010 Sony Delaystation will suprise me. I have been waiting since the PS3 was released and delay after delay makes me think that this is just another PR stunt.
I have downloaded the Home theme and, in doing so, signed in to the closed beta about a whole month ago… I bet I’m not going into the beta until the open one starts. I’m not gonna beg to go in the beta like most of the other guys here either. I’ll just wait as long as it takes if I have to until either I get into the closed beta or till the open beta starts.
