If you’ve applied for the PlayStation Home closed beta, but have yet to receive an invite, you may want to check your inbox again as we’re opening PlayStation Home’s expanded closed beta again to thousands of new beta testers. The closed beta test is going quite well, so please don’t sweat if you didn’t make today’s list, as this wave of invitations will be followed by many more before our launch into open beta.
Since the initial wave of new invitations went out a few weeks ago, we’ve been having an incredible amount of fun in PlayStation Home meeting each other, launching into games together, and dancing the night away by Listen@Home! i have the home bata and to all who have it i think its going to be one of those must have in xmas. i love it and i want to say thank you jack and everone at sony, i just cant wait for the full game. i was reading some of the people comment and there was someone comment that he was going to buy a 360 because he didnt get in on the bata to me that realy dumb thing to do but what it to me blow your money on something that in two years going to die. no matter your age i think there are alot of people hear need to grow up some and act your age. to the rest of us die heart fan just wait in in five months we will have home, lbp, r2, and in jan killzone 2 . there all must have titles and let not forget fallout, and gh, and rock band 2 i just dont see why anyone would by anything else.
Well I’ll assume that invites are not going out anymore this weekend, and stop checking my email :P Dunno what it takes to get picked, I subscribe to QORE, I am a GAP member since 2003, have bought 12 full PSN games, have a ton of retail ps3 games, and I am constantly on it playing bionic commando of recent. So dunno what else it takes :P but none the less, I can’t wait to try it out either early beta, or when its finally released. Also I hope bionic commando gets trophies soon, and is retro active, because having to do some of these challenges in bionic commando is insanely crazy. Go PS3!

I’m with this guy! I’m also in the PSU & a G.A.P member, have been both for years. I used to post all the time but when I quit getting selected for betas I quit posting. The last one I believe I was invited to was Auto Modellista, lmao!

Oh please, oh please let me in! I downloaded the first video “Home_Trailer-HD” on 4/14/2007 and it’s been too long waiting since then for my turn at the Beta.
@355: Just download the PlayStation Home theme from the PSN Store. That’ll submit your application that Sony will then totally ignore and invite whatever names they draw out of a hat.
Man I must not play my PS3 enough to even be considered. I do want to play it more often but with out a real must have game I am just bored. I am the guy you want in the BETA since I will actually offer constructive feedback and buy anything that is offered from that point forward. I will hope for the best and prey before I go to sleep. LoL
Please SONY give a brotha a break. I own all available peripherals..cam, 4 DS3s, and PSP charge cables, HDMI and an upgraded 60GB PS3 to 250GB HDD…!

I got the invite and have been in Home, but I am unable to log into the feedback site. I’m using the same username/e-mail address for everything and when I click the link from the e-mail it says

While I still hope I get in the Beta, I seriously am wondering how popular Home will be after a while if you can’t share picture, video, or music content off your PS3 HD. That feature alone was very popular among a LOT of the community. I loved the idea of having friends and watching videos or sharing pictures with them while they are far, far away. The removal of this feature seems to be a removal of one of the bigger social aspects.

Still no luck. WHAT’s a guy gotta do to get in. I registered all my Hardware and games, post on the Blog, member of the PlaySation Forum, and a member of the Underground & update my account regularly.

I’m a frequent PNS user and purchaser of games loyal to Sony since it’s humble beginnings, yet no invite as yet :o(

Just like many others, I am Pi$$ed off, ticked off, and just plain disappointed that I was not invited into the Beta. Any their are many reasons why. But 1st, except for about 2 hours a day, I am always home due to a sever back injury I suffered 7 yrs ago and on workmans comp. Those 2 hrs a day I am not home, I am at physical therapy. Other then that, I play my PS3 hours on end. Their are just so many tv shows, epsn hghlights too watch before you wanna puke. So all the other time is all devoted to strict gameplay and my PS3, and we are talking 12-15 hours a day of playing games. PAIN, Jeopardy, Bowling, Uncharted, Tiger Woods, and on and on and on.
Now I know this sounds like sour grapes, and some of it is of course. But I too know 3 people who were invited to the Beta, and they hardly touch it.
1 of my friends bought a lot of Sony games online from the PSN Store, but he works 10 hour days in Manhattan. He leaves his house at 5:30am, gets their at 7:30 or so, works 8am-6pm, back home by 8:30ish, eats, catches up on house crap to do, turns on the PS3 for about an hour if that, then sleeps and up at 4am or so.
ANother one does get online with the PS3, owns 3 games, none of which are from the PSN, and he says he plays about an hour or 2 a day. On a good day, 3 hours max. He said HOME is cool, yet, he has been their twice since the invite, the 1st day he got the invite, then forgot about it. But he said he will probably go to it again.
Finally, the other person I know from being online says he was suprised he got the invite, and he has dabbled online with it. But again, with work, and his wife, his kid, and his newboardn, needless to say, he isn’t using it and barely has time to mess around with it with other family commitments.
Here are 3 people for example, that got the invite, and maybe have used it a total of 7 hours between them. And while others like me, who are home a lot, or play games for many hours a day, who are active participants on the blogs, and the Game blogs for PAIN, Socom and others, aren’t even considered. Which to me is really mind boggling.
But their criteria, if they used any, really needs to be altered. Yes some people have bought a lot of Sony’s games, Pain, Bowling, Pixel Junk etc.. and they get 1st crack supposedly. But I would think someone who plays the PS3 from 8-10 A DAY, every day, would be considered as well.
Yeah, I wished I would have gotten an invite, and I hope I do soon. If not so be it, it’s not gonna own, rule, or break me. I do look forward too it coming out, and seeing how good it is, and what I can do with it.
i applied on both of my accounts and still havn’t got added, but really they should just come out w/ the real thing b/c they’ve made us wait over a year and now its a closed beta thats kinda gay. but other than that home looks awesome and is separating the 3 from the 360 even more.
yea i agree w/ u haskell i can’t even play discs anymore b/c the eye in my ps3 is broke and its going to cost $150 to fix. so all i can do is play demos until i get it fixed so i reall want the invite.

What ticks me off also, while I’m on the subject.. i spent 25 bucks to buy the QORE season pass.. BUT, I get the Playstation Monthly Magazine, and now, they give you A FREE CODE, TO REDEEM AND GET EACH EPISODE OF QORE FOR FREE.. ONLY CAVEAT IS, YOU HAVE TOO WAIT A FEW WEEKS TO REDEEM IT. SO THE ISSUE I GOT YESTERDAY, THE CODE IS FOR QORE EPISODE FROM SEPTEMBER.. NOW THATS BS

@haskell: why do you feel that sony owes you anything? random drawings are random drawings. you win some, you lose some. sure, you can say “easy for you to say, you got in”. even if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t come in here all butthurt about it thinking the world owes me something. there’s no need to take it so personally that it’s a smite against you. it’s not. they picked a bunch, you weren’t in that bunch. maybe you’ll be in the next one and I wish you luck with that, but don’t throw a hissy fit just because you aren’t in this one.

I downloaded the theme about 30 times to try and up my odds but no luck so far I’ve spent loads of money and I mean loads of money!!! on sony since 1994 and zero on X-box as I’am not a fan can’t you do just this one thing for me come on home beta.

One last comment though. Does anyone know if there is a way to check whether you got in through the forums as the email that is linked to my most used PSN account is for login purposes only. It is not an actual email/Live ID that can… receive email.

Since i know im not getting an email… i jus want to say that im sure Ps HOME is gonna be GREAT..its like they took the wii idea and made it way better..unlike the xbox whom are jus taking ideas and not putting and werk into it to make it unique..ooh wells..imma get this asa its available..THIS YEAR!

yeah i’ve been in ps home beta for about 3 weeks now and it’s getting a little boring,but i met some cool people on it and we play alot of socom and cod4. i can’t wait for the launch date. my wife gets a kick outta home and i’m getting her her own ps3 just for home..way to go psn u just made my wallet smaller…lol!

OH SPARE ME THE GRIEF!!!!!!!!…THAT STATEMENT JUST SHOWS HOWS RIDICULOUS THIS WHOLE HOME SITUATION HAS BECOME….SO BASICALLY YOU SLOWLY ROLL OUT AN OPEN BETA FOR A BETA THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ROLLED OUT IN JULY 07…OH WAIT OCT 07…OH WAIT NOW ITS JUST “COMING”…WHICH MEANS THAT HOME IS NOWHERE NEAR COMPLETION…so enough with BS…this project should have been scrapped a long time ago…no need in trying to save a sinking ship…HOME has been a flawed idea from the start…credit for trying but enough is enough!!!
